Keep was great! Grouchy staff during pickup and especially drop off. The Jeep had mud on it when we picked up which we didn’t care that much but of course we put more mud on the week we had it and the manager lectured us saying he wanted to charge us $250 cleaning fee. We settled on $35 which I suppose was fair. Website says don’t worry about cleaning but you actually better bring it back clean. Heads up.

Staff was wonderful. Car was clean and ready for pick up.

Cons:

Location is NOT at airport - there is NO shuttle. Uber / Lyft are NOT readily available. Must rely on taxi, which is hit or miss from the airport. I had to walk the 1.8 miles from the airport to get to Enterprise before it closed.

The second manager and staff at Lihue airport who eventually did help us and did all they could do to make it right for us.

Cons:

I received a call that rental location was not open when we would arrive. The offer was to have the car (plus 2 others I rented at the same time) at a different location nearer where we were staying available the next morning. I paid $120 in cab fees to get to our location, but the next morning went to the closer location and found it closed. No one at any number we could find for Enterprise knew anything about our situation other than to suggest that we go BACK to the airport location. (I then had a voice mail from the nearer location about picking up the vehicles but no one answered when I called back. I never heard from him or the manager who gave me his private cell number to call if there was a problem. I called. No response. Ever.) We returned to the airport location (Another $60 cab fare. Once there, I will say the manager on duty was very apologetic and accommodating and even reimbursed us the cab fare. He treated us very well and he is to be commended. But the disorganization cost us a half day of our Hawaiian vacation, time with my family I can't recover.

Received a Jeep Renegade as an upgrade. Some quirky controls, but we liked the high clearance and 4WD.

They were friendly while they apologize for giving your car away and only having to "upselled" you.

Cons:

They will give your car "away" if you are running late and then only have higher end vehicles that they upsell you on. Happened to several people, seems like a pattern-even though you have a non-refundable deposit -they will give your car away if an hour later than time you designate. Class action anyone?

Waited in line for the car for >2hrs, mostly outside in the heat. The car I got was much worse than the one I booked and was not clean. Horrible experience.

Waited in line for over 2 hours to receive my car. One person was working behind the desk for 50 customers while other employees watched and chatted. Truly terrible.

The rental location is really convenient if you are staying at Kauai Beach Resort, because that is where the rental office is located. We found this rental location on Kayak and thought it was located at the airport in Lihue. Luckily for us, we were staying at the KBR. We did have to take a $20 dollar cab each way. So the deals that were close in price (less than the $40 difference in Airport location vs off-site), are the ones we would have chosen.

Car was picked up at a resort located 3 miles from airport--Hertz office, but no transportation was provided. We had to pay to get there. $44 each way (3-miles from LIH) or pay $150 drop-off fee. This was not disclosed at time of online reservation. Car was not clean and seemed old. Did not have opportunity to discuss with rental rep. as they were busy with another customer. Additional fees/taxes were added, even though this was a PRE-PAID rental that INCLUDED TAXES.

They refused to provide transportation from the airport so we canceled our reservation. Who doesn’t have a kiosk at the airport or transport to their rental office? We were told to Uber or pay $45 for a taxi. Pretty sure they were happy to NOT HAVE our business.
