Pros:The location is good for downtown and the staff are very nice.
Cons:The rooms are not just tired. They’re like staying in a run down nursing home. The bathrooms are terrible. Our floor was wet all night with some mysterious dampness. And the ceiling in the bathroom had been dropped down using acoustic tiles. I’m sure they were hiding a multitude of sins. We’ll never stay there again.

Pros:The ambiance was priceless.
Cons:Being across the street from the monument has its good and bads. There was Yoga blocking the entrance upon my arrival and building a house when I left. When do these people sleep!

Pros:The rooms were very nice, as were the common areas that I visited. The staff was helpful and kind.
Cons:The bathrooms were in desperate need of a refresh and some superficial repairs. That said, they were clean and everything worked.

Pros:This is a beautifully restored structure bathed in old world opulence. The staff were very very informative and inviting, including the doorman who very politely and professionally requested I remove my hat. the physical location on the square was nice and convenient for foot commutes.
Cons:I should have read beyond the description of the building before making a buying decision. We were in town on business. I didn't realize this is foremost a private club, and as would be expected, has most of the rules and pretentiousness associated with such an establishment. Not a bad thing, just didn't fit with the purpose of our stay. Condition of the room was so-so, broken lamp, uncomfortable shower, no water pressure. We weren't able to dine on site due to dress code which was unfortunate.

Pros:The location was amazing. My King Delux matched expectations and the facilities were in good condition. I didn't encounter any of the issues with outdated plumbing, silly addenda, etc. It was a very nice place for $80/night - I'm looking forward to staying again.
Cons:There was a hiccup in pulling my reservation over - but the staff took care of it. The exterior door is locked at night. You have to dress at a certain level to gain access to some areas of the building - which I didn't plan for. Overall minor things.
