Pros:
The pick-up and drop-off were easy. The pick-up took a little time because they washed the car and then took a video of the car in order to document any existing damage. I dropped it off on a Saturday morning and it didn't take long.Cons:
They did try to sell me extra insurance for the car. I told them that I had purchased insurance with Kayak. The guy at the counter told me that they didn't accept the insurance that I purchased with Kayak. However, after he realized that I had put the Kayak insurance on a credit card, he accepted the Kayak insurance.2.8 Poor

Pros:
Nothing. My reservation never showed up in their system and I had to do it all over again. The insurance which I purchased when I booked the car was not accepted and I had to provide a new insurance policy to cover for the rental. I spent more than an hour to pick up the car. I also had to wait for the car to be cleaned before I could leave.Cons:
Paperwork was printed at 12:37pm but the associate attending to me left the counter to go wash and clean the car. I did not leave their premises till 1pm. When I returned the car at 12:55pm,the same associate saw me drive into the parking spot and left what he was doing outside to go lock up the main door since they closed at 1pm. I knocked on the door for about 5 minutes and no one came to the door. I dropped the key in the drop box and as I waited for my ride to leave, he came out of the building and did not even acknowledge my presence. Just this evening I see that my credit card was charged for reasons unknown to me. Poor customer service and lack of professionalism. I will never rent from them again!10.0 Wonderful

Pros:
The customer service at next car laurel was fabulous. The staff was friendly and helpful, helping me to carry my car seat to the rental. They took time and vacuumed and throughly clean the inside and outside of the van before they handed it over to me. The car was a 2015 Toyota Sienna and it drove really well. Can't beat the $60 per day for a van.Avis

Pickup and dropoff was pretty easy. The staff person that was there for both instances was very friendly and helpful.Cons:
It would have been helpful to be have an opportunity to choose our vehicle. The minivan we were given had pet hair in the back. We have small children, so this was not ideal. We made due by putting down plastic in the back, but this was an avoidable modification if (a) the vehicles were cleaned/inspected better, (b) there was a backup vehicle available, or (c) we could have chosen our vehicle beforehand - to which we would have asked questions about the cleanliness of the vehicle.2.0 Poor

- system was down when I picked up the car in and I was asked to write in my information on a piece of paper. It was like going back to 1975! - rude staff kept insisting for me to write down my info on a piece of paper when I already made the reservation on line. - I was given a car with noisy tires. - I was charged a large fee for returning the car to another city even though I returned it to the same place I picked it up from - charged a full day rental for bringing the car 5 hours late - how does one end up paying $219 for renting an economy car 29hrs, with the same drop off and pick up? Ask AVIS, they will be more than happy to rip you off I expected more from AVIS. Instead I got the same shady service or rather lack of service one gets from FOX or EZ. I called repeatedly AVIS customer service to try and adjust the charge for the fact that I returned the car to the same location. Once they got your $ they will hold on to it for dear life. They won't let go no matter what you say or do. Shame on AVIS!Hertz

Cons:
They could check the condition of the vehicle before they rent it. My vehicle had 2 bald tires on the front and I was driving to Florida had to delay my trip until the next day because had to wait for 2 new tires to be installed. Started my trip driving in a snow storm tried to get out the day before. Windshield washer fluid was empty doesn't work so well driving in a snow storm.4.0 Mediocre

The rep repeatedly threatened my arrest if my husband drove the rental after I told her I’d be the only driver. The store was covered in signs warning to not smoke weed in their cars. The car was dirty on the inside and outside. Worst rental I’ve ever had.7.6 Good

Car was good value for price. Booked a Ford fiesta which was perfect size for me.Cons:
However, the whole agency is a bit slow and there are a lot of mechanics sitting around. The office where customers are served is very inconvenient as we need to wait outside and get called inside one by one. Pretty inefficientBudget

Arrived late, car was not available despite calling ahead to inform them I was going to be late and was assured it wouldn’t be a problem. Very poor and unsatisfactory service. The national desk was helpful to redirect my reservation to another location in Columbia Maryland.8.0 Very good
