The Bay Club Hotel and Marina occupies a long, low-rise property that first opened in 1985 on Shelter Island overlooking North San Diego Bay. The hotel is located on a long peninsula attached to La Playa district overlooking North San Diego Bay, known as Shelter Island. On the north side of the property is the marina, while the south bay-facing side is home to the grassy Shoreline Park, which stretches down the length of the island and provides a nice walkway for a stroll or a jog. San Diego International is a seven-minute drive away, while Old Town San Diego is a 15-minute drive away.
