Pros:The location is across from City Lights book store. There are cafes and restaurants nearby. It was an expensive. That had an iron.

Pros:The hotel was among the cheapest we found in that area, which is in a great location ( SF hotels are very expansive ), so we didn't come with too high expectations. The entrace to the hotel has high stairs so it's hard to get in with luggage. The room was clean but didn't feel completly clean. The room didn't had an AC and it got really hot (we stayed during the "Summer" of SF) but we asked, and received, a fan. The staff were nice and as we were just looked for a place to sleep and rest ,with hot shower, we were satisfied with the result. It is important to notice that the area has a lot of night clubs. Our room was at the back and on the last floor so it didn't bother us, but maybe other rooms can get more noisee.

Pros:Location! location! Couldn't ask for a better spot. Right on the corner of Columbus and Broadway. You can see right down China town! Excellent food in the area and lots of history too! It is right above a strip club, but it is the first nude club ever in the US! Your also only 20mins from fisherman's wharf. Its right in the heart of the jazz area as sell as little Italy so lots of great Italian food. The Stinking Rose restaurant is right across the street and serves every thing garlic flavored. Even ice cream! Over all for the price, great place to stay. I will be back.
Cons:Shared bathrooms.... more like a hostel then a hotel. Really not that bad though. They are cleaned on a daily.
