Ramon’s Village Resort is located on the island of Ambergris Caye, offering a Bora Bora-inspired tropical retreat styled after Tahitian cottages, with lush gardens throughout the property. Guests can choose from beachfront cottages, seaside cabanas, or jungle rooms, and also have access to the sister property Steve and Becky’s, located just across the street. This four-star resort is within walking distance of downtown San Pedro, where guests will find a park, the House of Culture, San Pedro Church, and plenty of local shops and cafes. San Pedro Airport is one minute away and Ramon’s provides complimentary airport shuttles.

Pros:My friends and I go diving every year somewhere in the Caribbean. This establishment was amazing. The service and food without compare. We actually preferred the resort restaurant to several of the other local restaurants. I do wish the establishment served liquor. I don't drink beer and traveling off property to go drinking was a little inconvenient. The establishment would have definitely made a few hundred more dollars off of us if they did. The rooms are cozy. Be sure of what you book. Even though a room could say that it holds 4 people, 2 adults do NOT sleep comfortably in a full bed. The rooms air conditioning works very well. The shower heads could use with some CLR cleaning, but nothing worth getting worked up about. The showers do get hot, it just takes time. I was going to complain about the shower temperature; however, my friend who took a shower after me said it was quite pleasant. I rechecked and it was definitely hotter than when I had taken my shower. After that, we learned to let the shower run while we got ready and the shower would be nice and hot. The entire staff was spot on with customer service. The front desk gentleman remembered my name every time I stuck my head in to the office to ask something (This didn't happen as often as that sounds). The manger of the resort was amazing also. Saw him every morning while we were eating breakfast and would always stop to check how everything was going. One morning we were talking about parasailing and he passed it on to his front staff crew. We checked by the next day (we forgot to check by after our dive trip) and the gentleman had the information ready and was able to book one of our group a trip. They arranged everything including the pick up at the resort pier.
Cons:The dive master and staff were very good. I had a couple small complaints which knocked it down. I expect all my gear and equipment to be ready and setup prior to getting on board when I'm renting. On one night dive, they forgot one of the other diver's mask so he could not dive. On several occasions when we (the divers on the boat) were checking out our equipment, there were several o rings that needed to be replaced due to audible leaks. That does not include the minor leaks noticed underwater on almost every piece of equipment. Mine had minor leaks at the first stage, inflator connector, and depth gauge connection. Except for the audible leaks, these minor leaks did not seem to hurt the length of the dive. With the exception of one diver whose tank was significantly under by the time we arrived at the dive site. Otherwise, the dives were spectacular and the staff very friendly! Will definitely be returning.
