The car was very very clean when I picked it up, which I really appreciate!

Cons:

The model of the car wasn’t super new, which I personally prefer more. It had about 20,000 miles on it.

Hard to take a turn out of the parking lot, but overall I would rent a car from here again.

They had two vehicles that both smelled like smoke. The employees “don’t have the discount codes” anymore. Apparently, you have to figure out the code and bring it to them to input. So no military discount.

Literally everything. Inconvenient location. Unfriendly staff. First car they gave me didn’t have a working radio. The second one had stains all over the seats and garbage under the seat. Spend an extra couple dollars and rent elsewhere.

We mentioned we were going upstate and it would be snowing. We were told the car would be fine but it certainly was not!! It was so dangerous and did not grasp on to the road so several times we thought we were going to crash as we had no control over the car. we would've gladly paid more to be safe

Did not have the car that I reserved. I reserved a full size and they did not honor my reservation. All they had was a economy car. It ruined my trip. Also, the shuttle took 3 stops (30 minutes) to get to the rental parking lot. Very inconvenient.

When I arrived to pick up the car I reserved a week in advance at 9:45 AM, it was unavailable because I was "late" for my 9 AM pick up time. Economy did not contact me and was unable to offer me any assistance. They also stated they do not take walk-ins only reservations, so it was easy to determine that a car had never been available that day. Two other customers present at the time with reservations also arrived to find that there were no cars available. An abysmal experience. I can not believe Economy can run a business this way.

Terrible rental car. Car was dirty and had something mechanically wrong with it. Workers in the office are half asleep and have no personality . Definitely DO NOT recommend this company to anyone. Also price was way higher than what it said online

Long wait time of over 30 minutes at the JFK Federal circle for car to get ready n handed over to me. Secondly there was no windshield washer in the vehicle. Not a pleasant experience.

Everything was good except the vehicle. The Bluetooth/wireless connection did not work and it was crucial for me to have these functions because I was traveling to another state and needed directions. 😤

The service at JFK getting the car was good. I picked the car up around 9:30 PM & had a 90 drive to my house. As I left the parking lot of AVIS at JFK & got on the parkway heading north to my home I noticed that there wasn't a FULL TANK OF GAS in the car. I had less than ¼ Tank of gas in the AVIS Rental Car. I then had to try to find a gas station that was opened after 10 PM. The WARNING LIGHT came on the dash board letting me know that I would probably run out of gas before I arrived to my home. I luckily found a gas station that was opened off the parkway & put more gas in the car then I originally got at the JFK AVIS location. This should never have happened. I should have had a FULL TANK of GAS when I left the AVIS location at JFK & I should be reimbursed for this rental or my next one on Nov. 20th at Westchester (White Plains).Reservation # 23531515USO

We had to wait over two and a half hours (in an un-air-conditioned building on a very hot day) to get our car. I would have thought that maybe this was an unusually busy day or something, but there was no acknowledgment from the staff that this experience was out of the ordinary. We rented from them again a couple weeks later, since we had already made the booking and didn’t have time to change it. There was still no air conditioning in the building, but at least there was no line this time. Even so, we still had to wait 45 minutes before we got our car. It is not clear to me why it took so long. We won’t rent a car from them again if we can avoid it…we’d rather pay a bit more money and see if one of the other companies has more reasonable waiting times (or at least air conditioning if we have to wait for a long time).

Was traveling to NYC for Christmas and had to cancel because of the COVID spike that is going on. Even a family member has COVID. I could cancel the hotel reservation and flight without penalty. But having to pay $100 penalty for a rental car even when it was informed of the situation that is out of my control is inhumane. Not going to use this service ever again.

There were long lines at both pickup and dropoff sites, but perhaps that can't be avoided. Overall, it was a good experience with no hassle.

Worst vehicle rental experience I have encountered. Shuttle service was appalling. Numerous hidden costs and continual addition of charges. Absolutely will not ever rent from Fox in the future. Lesson learned.

The car got terrible mileage partially due to grinding wheel bearings, and needed air in tires- no wiper fluid. I performed the easier tasks of course. Due to my business constraints, I had to time to exchange the vehicle.
