I waited forever for a car. When I got the car it smelled like weed as soon as I turned on the ac. The speakers were also blown. I turned the car in several days ago and have not received my deposit back8.0 Very good

I think this location caters to debit card customers. The staff seemed friendly, by observation, while I was waiting. I got a somewhat rude person with very bad breathe.Cons:

I missed my scheduled meeting because of you guys. After I drove 30 miles, I see the maintenance required sign. I had to drive from Columbus(OH) to Providence(RI). Called the customer, to report and they said another car will be ready at Cleveland airport. But they refused for an exchange. After wasting 2-3 hours - explaining about the situation, I had to reserve another car at Cleveland and take it from there on .7.2 Good

Encounters with Hertz staff were very uneven. Kudos to the folks at the Dublin office (renting cars out of a car dealership location). Airport encounter was very disappointing.Cons:
My main issue was not with Hertz but with the KAYAK system. Though I have years of extensive travel, this was the first time I remember using KAYAK. I have never had an issue before when the advance booking I made was not at the airport (or adjacent to the airport) location. KAYAK gave me a great rate, but 20 miles away. I spent $40 to get over to the rental car location. The airport staff at Hertz was not helpful....sure we can honor your reservation at this location. The daily rental price would not be $35 a day but $75 a day. I don't have time to go back and dig through the ways this reservation got off-track, but I don't think I'll use KAYAK again.Avis

I didn’t like that they ended up not even having a car for me that I reserved 3 days in advance. Terrible service. I will never rent a car from Avis again!!! Their solution was for me to do a round trip rental when I needed a one way. Obviously that was not going to work for me.2.0 Poor

My reservation time was 3pm for a mini van. I did not get my SUV until 5:30pm. Apparently reservation means nothing to Avis I not only got the wrong kind of vehicle I got it 2 1/2 hrs late! As for Kayak the contract was not very clear on the LIMITED millage and apparently do not really partner with Avis on the insurance, which is also not clear when booking!6.4 Okay

Car was over an hour late and I was late for leaving on vacation. Car was filthy inside and outside. Fog light was burned out. It had no rear wiper blade to see safely. The front windshield was cracked and it was there when I took it off lot and they accused me for it. They never saw it i told them so they could fix it so much for honesty.10.0 Wonderful
