Top tips for finding cheap flights to Ireland

  • Enter your preferred departure airport and travel dates into the search form above to unlock the latest Ireland flight deals.
  • The main entry point into Ireland is Dublin Airport (DUB), where the majority of visitors land. The DUB Airport is the finest airport to travel into if you want to explore some more of Ireland's well-known cities, like Dublin, Swords, Malahide, and Portmarnock.
  • Although Shannon Airport (SNN) is one of the airports from which there are scheduled flights to Ireland, the vast majority of commercial travellers prefer to fly into DUB Airport. DUB Airport is a preferred airport for passengers on business visits due to its proximity to Dublin City, which acts as the country's capital and is where the majority of Ireland's business head offices are located.
  • The Connolly and Heuston train stations, as well as Ireland's main bus station - Bus ras - are all easily accessible from Dublin Airport, and from there you may travel immediately to central Dublin areas like O'Connell Street or connect to the rest of Ireland.
  • If you are looking at flights to Ireland, try to avoid booking a flight to Dublin Airport (DUB) on St Patrick’s day, celebrated on March 17th every year. The crowds tend to descend on the capital city so you will likely notice limited availability on airlines from Canada to Ireland during this time.
  • Before you land in Ireland, you should note that it is the law for children to use a car seat when travelling in any vehicle. If your child is under 1.5 m in height or 36 kg in weight, then they must use a car seat or booster seat as soon as they arrive in Ireland. If you are flying into Dublin Airport, you can make use of the Stork Exchange, which rents out baby seats and safety equipment and offers to properly instal them in your rental car.
  • As the major hub for the airline Aer Lingus, Dublin Airport is a great destination for Canadian travellers. Not only does it offer direct flights to Ireland, the airport provides 28 check-in desks and an Aer Lingus Lounge in Terminal 2.
  • If you plan to visit the northernmost parts of Ireland, like Letterkenny and Donegal, you may want to consider flying into neighbouring Northern Ireland, UK. The City of Derry Airport (LDY) in Londonderry offers flights from Canada, with a stopover in London, UK.
  • If you want to visit Galway and the west of Ireland, you can fly into Shannon Airport (SNN) in County Clare. The airport is just over 1h from Galway and under 30min to the town of Limerick. Alternatively, you can fly into Ireland West Airport Knock (NOC) in Country Mayo, which is 1h 20min from Galway.

Super unproffesional flight . Flight attendants were unproffesional. I could hear them gossiping about theor boyfriends the whole trip

The connecting flight lay over was 4.00 hours, the gate agent booked me on the next flight which was about to depart at no extra cost.

The ticket price was reasonable, food was okay, not the best. I would use the service again.

Actually the flight was on time. New plane, food was okay but not great.

Old plane, hard seats, 1.30 hours delay, while seating on the plane waiting for departure.

Great boarding. Everything was on time. Plane was a bit old and the crew could have provided better drink service.

Boarding was a little chaotic but it was a very large flight. It just wasn’t fast. And there was no noticeable difference between zones boarding.

Crew was pleasant. Aircraft was very dated and uncomfortable for our nearly 4 hour flight. We were in row 17 and they ran out of purchasable food by the time they got to us.

We were lucky enough to arrive at the right time. The staff at YYZ did our complete check in and luggage tags for us. Even made sure we knew where we were to head next and how to get there. It truly was one of the best and easiest check inside. Thanks team.

Too many oversized carryon baggage. If carrier reduced checked luggage fee this could be avoided. The staff were friendly and helpful, very professional.

Airport monitors did not give the gate for our flight returning Detroit to Vancouver Juice served from glass storage containers are a far more healthy alternative for people. And would also minimize the need for recycling plastic or aluminum containers

Nice smooth flight with pleasant stewards. Slept most of the flight, they could have slowly turned on the lights to make it more pleasant. Otherwise a good trip.

Great! No food was available during the flight due to the catering service strike but snacks were given throughout the flight which was nice.

Boarding, staff and flight great. A bit disappointed with no in flight online entertainment but I'll live. Landing was a bit of a jolt (more than usual) but hey everything else was smooth. LoL

I’ve been delayed for two days and I’m still stuck in Honolulu tired spending money

1.5 hours late departing YVR for a 14-minute flight. Packed waiting area. Full plane. Families with tired, screaming kids. 40-minute wait for baggage at YYJ. For a Dash-8. Obviously there was some kind of breakdown but there was no communication from anyone. Most of this was not WestJet's fault but it was an unpleasant night overall. I fell asleep in a chair waiting for the luggage carousel to start.

Nothing to like about flying in the Dash 8s. With very small seats, little legroom, and a very noisy plane, nothing about such trips is enjoyable.

I wish that seats closer to the front of the plan were available, but when I booked the flight the seats were VERY expensive so I did not book seats at that time. The day before flying only seats at the back of the plane were available. It takes so long to board the plane and empty the plane on arrival due to SO many roller bags.

Difficult to say. Over crowded but that is the fault of the airplane not WestJet

Are Longus was fine. I booked thru Kayak and was unable to get my business class seat early. Sat next to galley. Crew forgot to wake me for breakfast.

I was pleasantly surprised - it has been awhile since I traveled with them - other than being delayed leaving Malaga everything ran very smoothly- yes I would travel with aer Lingus again and yes I would recommended

I loved how they arrange boarding (starting with people seated in back and moving to the front). Flight crew was very polite and welcoming. Seating was ok, I felt like there was enough leg space however it is noticeable when the passenger in front of you sets their seat back.

Flight staff very friendly and helpful where possible. Late flight and travelling with young child, cabin lights remained on for the duration of the flight which was a little disappointing considering the time of the flight. Overall very happy to travel with Aer Lingus.

Nice to be on a flight that wasn't fully booked so there were only two of us in the three seat row.

The only problem was there are games on the entertaiment system. The guy behind me played poker the entire time and poking the back of my seat. I hope they remove these.

Delayed due to weather... fine. But then the board us. Rows 15 and back had to go down the stairs and back up the back stair entrance to the plane. No assistance offered. Then they inform us that we are delayed for paperwork for an hour. So why did we board? Then, about 45min later they inform us that it'll be another 60-90mins. Really? No wifi, no seat entertainment, no drink or snacks offered. And we were not allowed to deboard.

Great travel. Wonderful experience. Hope to do it again in the near future. God willing

Aer Lingus doesn't have plug ins for devices at each seat. They also did not give me a dairy free meal as requested and confirmed by staff. It was as if I had not requested anything. Otherwise, they were great!

There were a lot of empty rows. As a single passenger I should not have been seated with 2 others. The WiFi didn’t work. The Kosher meal was awful.

Crew was very respectful and ready to serve. Much better than before.

This time my experience was superior! Much better and improved from after the COVID-19. I hope they maintain the same. Earlier, service (specially crew attitude) was awful and sometime rude, but this time, crew was very welcoming, respectful and ready to serve. I will definitely repeat :-)

Inexperienced crew. Food was so so. They lost my luggage on a direct flight. Was flying business so my luggage was priority. Not impressed.

I liked the early check in. Flight was a bit bumpy due yo weather. Overall, everything went well.

I couldn't rate food or entertainment as neither were a factor in my short flight. I was impressed with with respect of time and schedule. Also, this was an incredibly smooth flight from terminal to terminal. My only minor complaint was being woken up for refreshment service. This was the end of a very long day, and I was happy to miss a juice box and pretzels for a little rest.

It was awful. For a 37 minute flight time,we had 1:30 hours delay. If someone had a connection flight he or she couldn’t reach for sure. The only positive point was online check in.

Limited snack options cause the snack vendor was on strike

Not full, so lots of room, which is really the only thing that can make flying economy more comfortable. Direct to Toronto is great! I didn't eat or use the entertainment.

The experience was generally above average. The only downside was the absence of WiFi during my flight from Vancouver to San Francisco.

It was overall above average experience. If there is only one thing i could complain about was the lack of wifi availability on my flight from Vancouver to San Francisco

boarding needs to be streamlined load the back of the plane first

The boarding was a mess; I'm unclear why they can't organize it by boarding number.

Try to humanize onboarding and take AI out. It's embarrassing and useless

no kiosks to check in with- it’s 2024!!! the flight was so hot and uncomfortable - not sure if that’s what caused a lady to faint during the flight but i was absolutely miserable.

Air Canada from Edmonton to Toronto was disappointing but Lufthansa from Toronto to Frankfurt was excellent.

So far so good. I missed my flight because of the Lufthansa diversion. United helped me to figure out how to get accommodations from Lufthansa for my long layover. They help me book appropriate onward flight.

I ended up buying (for $340) "extra space" seats because I my flying partner was given a STY boarding pass, leading me to conclude that she was on standby and that we had to buy seats on the flight. I later learned that the flight was not sold out and that we could have gotten on as usual. To be honest, I felt swindled.

Great seats assigned and comfortable, movies are good, food is delicious, great experience. No delays and they prioritize boarding children with parents which is plus.

I'm Canadian. I have the unfortunate experience of pretty not having the choice to fly with them. THEY ARE TERRIBLE.

It was timely boarding, well organized. The food was weird in a flight to Buenos Aires. I felt as if I were flying to Asia because of the chicken teriyaki. In my section flight attendants spoke only German and English. I wondered why no Spanish speaker was hired for a flight to Latam. In that Lufthansa needs to be more customer oriented. Compared to other airlines the four seat in the middle is less comfortable. That said, staff was polite and efficient, the entertainment system worked well. It was ultimately a peaceful, well organized and safe flight. Thank you !
