Pros: We requested blankets and they were very soft. Great blankets. Onsen was small but comfortable. Really liked outdoor onsen.
Cons: Would like more convenient shuttle times. A bit troublesome to have to reserve for shuttle. Would like an ala carte menu at night, too.

Pros: Nice hot spring baths with an outdoor bath. Great location, close to Wakuwaku Land and restaurants close by. Buffet breakfast with good variety. Nice view of the sunset from the window.
Cons: Needing to pick up a separate Wifi router from the front desk was a little inconvenient. It probably should be installed by default or at least offered at check in.

Cons: Carpet makes it look a little dated.

Pros: Rooms were fine, a little shabby but very clean. Good value for money.
Cons: A 15-20 minute walk to the station, was struggling back with my suitcase when the hotel's shuttle bus drove past me. Despite speaking Japanese, no-one mentioned that there was a shuttle and it's not mentioned on the website either.

Pros: We took a friend on her first trip to Japan to the Donkairo on a two night stay for her first experience of an onsen ryokan. The outdoor bath, the good meals, and in particular the cheerful and considerate staff made it an excellent choice.

Pros: love place!!. Very kind and helpful staff , Onsen with very good view. Fine breakfast. Room is clean and big . Very good place to relax.

Pros: The staff were wonderful and very helpful. The food was great and the onsen's were lovely. We had a very large room with a fantastic view.
Cons: The staff did not have much English, but we were able to use Google Translate. There was no shower/bath in the room. We were allowed use the onsen with small tattoos, but I don't think they would allow large tattoos.

You can enjoy a wonderful view of the Ieshima islands and Shodojima Island from your room and on a clear day you will be able to see as far away as Shikoku. There are also rooms that have open-air baths.

Pros: Excellent value for money! The meals and onsen were wonderful, and the beds were comfortable. The staff was also very accommodating and went out of their way to help us when we left some belongings behind. Location is a bit far from the station but the property provides a free shuttle, so getting there was hassle-free. Would definitely stay again!

Pros: Very impressive hot bath facilities ('onsen'), the food was great and the staff helpful and friendly. Appreciated the complementary shuttle bus service to the station.
Cons: The hotel could do with a shine-up / restoration, it appeared a little out-dated. Unfortunately the hotel was unable to accept our credit cards as means of payment; cards which worked elsewhere throughout our travel in Japan.

Pros: this traditional Japanese hotel provided excellent service from check-in to check-out! although the facilities were a bit outdated, you would still find great comfort! love the seaview when it is sunny!
Cons: please consider measure to save electricity !! it does not make sense to keep so many lights on even during daytime.
