It was very nice and a good price. Staff was very friendly and the room was super clean, which I liked. I would definitely stay there again.
I have nothing bad to say about this hotel
Firearm alarm in the middle of night
Very friendly staff
The fire alarm in our room went off in the middle of the night, waking up our 4 month old baby. When we took the covers off the bed there was some type of crumble laying there. I have no clue where it came from.
Beds were very uncomfortable
DON'T STAY HERE!!!!
I arrived about 3 o'clock in the morning, I started to walk in I was greeted by a bunch of dead bugs in the lobby and I stood in front of the desk and Barbara never said anything to me and just looked down for about 10 mins till I said are you going help me, I handed her my printed out reservation and my drivers license and she refused to take them, and I asked for my name and then tells me I don't have a reservation I freak out and she says oh my mistake the name is back to front. So then I finally get a hotel card and a map. I finally found my hotel building, it was very annoying because you have to have a room card to even enter the building and the worst part if you have guest coming up, you have to go out to the main door to let them in. So this was irritating but not even close to being the worst part! I entered the room and at first glance it wasn't too bad, I go into the bathroom room, wash my hands, sink is cracked, paint is missing off the door, tile is cracked in the shower, hair in the shower and I see something starting to run and it was the biggest Roach ever seen in my life I literally crap myself, i hit it with a trash can, broke it in half and its still moving it finally died and I sat on the bed trying to calm down and I see 6 or 7 roaches crawling on the baseboard towards my bag on the floor. I jump up off the bed, bend down grab the bag I seen something like a set of eyes underneath the bed and they disappear right back underneath the bed I use my flashlight there's four or five black beatles I jump up see another Roach crawling in the middle of the floor I never felt so disgusted and so dirty and my skin was crawling. I called Barbara at the front desk and she tells me, there normal and don't worry about it, they won't hurt you, I have them in my house, I was literally in that hotel room for 7 mins, I left and stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn. The manager did call me and apologized but theres NO EXCUSE! So in summary the staff were very rude, very unhelpful, the facilities themselves very old, outdated and infested with roaches and other bugs and please keep in mind this hotel was $120 a night.
We were so happy it was time to check out.
The whole experience in general. I'll agree with Mary,Marsha and the Chief's comments.
Most of the hotel looked nice when we were checking in. Like it has bee nicely remodeled.
The rooms and particularly the bathroom had not followed site to the rest of the nice renovation we saw throughout. Maybe it is coming but as chief of my 4 person tribe, i got an earful about this issue a lot. Also the bathroom while old looking, was also diety and only had 2 bad towels.
Avoid Breakfast Buffet
They couldn't keep up with restocking the food for the breakfast. The sleep number beds were very uncomfortable. And really, who puts double beds in a room with two adults and a 14 year old? Two adults cannot comfortably sleep in a double bed. We were only given towels for 2 people. Hotel needs to pay attention to detail, a guest should never have to ask for towels for the number of people in a room, they should already be in the room. It's disconcerting to find out you don't have enough towels right before you're set to jump into the shower. Slowed us down tremendously.
Had to purchase water park tickets. Usually included with room????????? Why not this time! Ugh!!!!!!! Shower had hair gross!!!!!!!
NOT an option in the winter months!!!!
Clean, nice rooms, Vast complex with many potential features. TV nice and channel selection nice This place would be great in the summer!!! But, OMG, bring a parka in the room during the winter!!!
Cold, cold, cold!!!! We turned the heater on full as soon as we arrived (about 5:00) It never shut off and we were soooo cold! The bathroom was like a walk-in freezer. I can't imagine turning the heat up for such a large facility, and neither could the staff. The swimming pool area was low fifties in temperature and no one ventured to swim. So.... we watched TV. The internet was weak, turning off and on, and never enough bandwidth to stream anything. We didn't pay a fortune but it wasn't worth more than a cheap run-down hotel.
The bed was the most uncomfortable mattress I've ever slept on. The water park was advertised as being open then upon checking in after having paid for the room online I was told it was only open on the weekends.
the flowrider at the water park was amazing , the shuttle to the airport was prompt, the koi pond was really great except we couldnt get a room by it and we wanted one.
room service closes at ten, there are no movie channels in the rooms, the sleep number bed was broken, our bathroom door handle was broken, our bathroom floor hadnt been seept in obviously a verry long time, room service trays werent collected from peoples rooms for sometimes 24hours. the hallways almost all hallways had food, towels and garbage in them and eventhough we saw a alot of staff they werent picking them up. the main atrium pool wasnt clean, the service in the starbucks in the front of the hotel is so slow they cant handle three customers at once. we had noted that there were one adult and three children in the room yet room service wouldnt give us more than two bath towels, but bc the floor was so nasty and the door handle was broken, we didnt want to spend much time in the bathroom anyway. oh yeah, and also my hair dryer was broken& unuseable. i hit the reset button and on and off and it just didnt work. it was one of the crappier hotels ive ever been to. for that nightmare i couldve went to some discount motel.
Michael from the staff was incredibly accommodating. For the price it was a great stopping point. Has laundry and everything. It's not the ace hotel or four seasons... Not a resort as it claims... But it's GREAT for the price.
It's cheesy. (Indoor coy pond fountain before getting rid of the motel 6 vibe!?) It needs to be finished with renovations.
