Pros: I am travelling a lot, for business and leisure, but 'De Klasse' is one of the best places I have been staying at in a long time. The owner is extremely friendly and invests an enormous amount of detail and love in the place. The rooms are super clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and worth any 5star hotel, again, prepared with love and passion. The garden is breathtakingly well kept and groomed. A little oasis in the hustle and bustle of this world. I can only recommend this place.

Oud Moeshof B&B - Alveringem - Building
4
9.7 Excellent (78 reviews)
C$ 166+
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Classy conversion of old farm buildings makes this a memorable place to stay. The owners are very friendly and helpful and make a big effort to provide local produce at breakfast, e.g. home-pressed apple juice. Located on several well-marked cycle routes across rural Flanders.
Cons: The pathway to the entrance (looks like an original farm path) is a bit uneven and can be slippery in the wet. Take some travel slippers as the bathroom floor is a bit cold!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cant wait to go back! Big warm, clean rooms with a great view of the garden, delicious breakfast and very helpful and friendly owners who make sure that you’re stay is perfect in every way, I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone! The farm produces its own organic apple juice which is the best I’ve had so make sure to try that out as well. So glad to have found this little Gem.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was so quiet and peaceful and the bed was blissfully comfortable. The bedroom was really large and you had the use of a guest lounge provided with china and cutlery, plus tea and coffee making facilities. The garden was lovely with outdoor seating if the weather permitted. The decor of our room was perfect. There was a town within about 3 miles where there were restaurants if required, and you were close to the coast if it was a sunny day. The owner and her husband could not do more to make your stay pleasant and successful.
Cons: Leaving was hard!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: beautiful and quiet surroundings, well equipped and very comfortable
8.8 Excellent
Pros: What an incredible property! Our hosts truly made us welcome but allowed us our privacy.
Cons: The furnishings were almost too nice. The couch and chair in our room looked like antiques which we were afraid to sit on. The remainder of the furnishings were great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A very warm welcome from the lovely Inge. The room was delightful; clean and comfortable -everything we could have wanted. Bathroom was large, complementary toiletries and a hairdryer - saved room in the packing! The breakfast room was beautiful and breakfast itself was plentiful, fresh and beautifully presented. Inge went beyond our expectations by suggesting and subsequently booking us a table at a restaurant in the nearby town. Her recommendation was spot on and we enjoyed a lovely meal.
Cons: Absolutely nothing. It was perfect/

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was very good, Philip is very friendly and the room perfect clean and comfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was continental style, and we were served personally by Filip. There was fresh fruit on offer, eggs and a combination of breads, meats and cheeses. The setting was wonderful, downstairs in a dining area near the kitchen. There was wonderful furniture all around, with lighting showing off art and pictures. It was quiet as we seemed to be the only guests at the time so it meant direct service and being well taken care of. The whole house looked great, lots of period features. It was in an excellent location, with a park nearby and within a few minutes walking distance of the beach. Filip also gave us some recommendations such as a great restaurant, and when we wanted to go to Bruges, suggested taking the train which worked out well.
Cons: We came with our dogs - they were made very welcome and we were well supported with them. Only one small point - we needed to climb many flights of steps to the top of the building to our room and that was not so easy with our dogs
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely decoration. fantastic bronzes pictures everywhere. Lot of attention to detail.
Cons: 8 small flights of stairs. My bad knee struggled to top floor room. This isn't a criticism. It is what it is. Next time though I'd make sure it was lower floor room.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: I liked the style of the hotel, that’s why I choose online this Hotel. Quality of hotel presentation in web very clearly expressed, no surprises when arrived at the hotel. Thanks for the good time spend there.
Cons: Functioning of television, I could not really utilize the proper service of tv channels due to the confusion of two remotes controls.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very warm welcome. The owner shows great dedication in welcoming his guests and ensuring excellent breakfast. The house is wonderfully renovated taking into account its history and original architecture. The B&B has its own covered parking across the street so no need to pay for parking in the street itself.
Cons: The mattress was too soft but that obviously depends on personal preference.

Cons: no lift; difficult stairs; shower floors slippery
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff is very friendly and helpful. Room matched the description. Breakfast is also good. Great venue and value
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Don't judge a book by its cover. From the outside the hotel is not so recognizable, but the owners have turned the inside into a very nice and comfy B&B. Very hospitable and friendly staff, super clean room and bathroom with soft towels. Varied and tasty breakfast. Good location, situated near Casino Middelkerke. We would definitely stay here again for a shortstay at the seaside.
Cons: On a very personal note: the bed was a bit too hard for my back but sizewize it was a proper double bed. The hotel does not offer parking, but there are parking facilities nearby (and its free during winter season). Don't let the tramline put you off. We had a room at the front and it was very soundproof so you don't hear the tram driving by.
9.3 Excellent

Pros: I requested some soya milk to have with my breakfast and I could see that the owner had bought a carton of it especially, and it was brought to the table every morning. She had also gone out of her way to buy me some soya yoghurts, that I hadn't even asked for. So very thoughtful. Thanks
Cons: Stairs steep and narrow and no lift. No hot drinking facilities in room. On street parking a bit difficult.

Cons: It has underground parking but drive slowly its tight. But very convenient.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location is right on the beach, hotel facilities are fine and the parking space price is good. Breakfast is nice and there are many choices for every diet.
Cons: The room was not particularly clean. Vacuuming was done one time in my 6 days stay and very superficial. Dust was having a party under the beds. The balcony was unusable, very dirty, no light bulb and I believe that something was nesting in the place where that light bulb should have been. Restaurant staff is not very polite and after one staff member set us down at the table another came and claimed that the table was reserved (for breakfast) and she did not believe that a staff member invited us to stay at that table.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great room, wonderful breakfast! Great place right on the beach!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff is very friendly, the room was very clean and we really enjoyed the breakfast. There was a little robot greeting the people in the hallway that kids loved and the location of the hotel is great, right next to the beach. They also have a nice swimming pool.

Pros: This is a lovely B&B with excellent hosts. The breakfast was lovely and plentiful including freshly squeezed orange juice and homemade yogurt. We would certainly recommend it and would return in the future.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location next to sea, amazing design of hotel
Cons: Air conditioning was missing in room
6.8 Good
Pros: Good choice for breakfast, location very central everything in walking distance
Cons: No idea why they had a hammock in the room as it took up too much space. Weather very hot and no air conditioning in the room, no tea of coffee making facilities either. No privacy on the balcony and the metal frame around the front of it is a ideal climbing frame for children which isn't ideal if there are children staying in any of the 3 rooms with balconies.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect !!!
Cons: No aperol ...
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast is pricey (15 euro p/p per day) but it was amazing. There's a big buffet that is refilled utill the breakfast "ends" at 11 am. You can stay there from 7 untill 11:30 if you want. We ate so much that we basically skipped lunch every day. Fresh fruit, pastries, pancakes, egs, bacon, baked beans, all kinds of bread, everything we could ask for was there. The shower was so good that we showered every day, sometimes multiple times. It was clean, very big and amazingly comfortable. We slept great in the beds and had more outlets (normal and usb) then we could ever need. Great hotel for a few days stay in the middle of Ostend. We didn't want to leave at all.
Cons: The beds were (as advertised) two single beds put next to each other. We sleep seperately anyway, but not the best for watching a late night film toghether.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Staff, location, room size, size of Gin measures, slide!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: 1. Very clean, modern and comfortable room. 2. On the 1-st floor there were a lot of entertainments for adults and families with kids. 3. Nice view from the room. 4. Shops, restaurants, see... Everything is very close to the hotel.
Cons: 1. There were no ventilation and air conditioning inside the room. 2. You have to keep window opened every night but it was very noisy outside. That's why sleeping was not so comfortable as we expected.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: good location, excellent service nice room !
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely stunning Furnishings in this Hotel!!

Pros: The room was perfect for a family of 6. Caroline was really helpful and friendly and breakfast was fantastic.
Cons: Nothing!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: They prepared a special breakfast for me because I had to leave early
6.8 Good
Pros: very family friendly. Good breakfast.
7.0 Good
Pros: Our host was really friendly and helpful and did everything for our 5 month old baby to feel at home: a baby bed, a microwave at our disposal, a room on groundfloor level close to the dining hall. The breakfast was delicious and vareous with fresh and local products. The location of the dining hall was spaceous so we were certainly not back to back with other people or other tables which was nice.
Cons: The luxurious and modern photos on the internet made us choose this hotel. On the outside the modern building with its offwhite walls looks wonderful and is surrounded by green. However, once opening the door to our room it looked really dark and outdated. When we saw the other building "Luxus" while doing a tour on the domain we realised that we were in the rather outdated part of the hotel... The floors were aged, the wallpaper was dark with traces of a giant self-adhesive sticker that was no longer there. The ventilation in the bathroom was really loud. There was a mouldy smell in the room's closet which smelled troughout the room. We booked last minute and maybe therefore we have been given this room, however we don't feel like it carries out the same spirit as the rest of the hotel.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Super friendly staff
Cons: Nothing really
10.0 Excellent
Pros: IT was perfect!
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: For families with young children excellent because of the outside space and facilities. Clean and modern and quiet - the adjacent airfield is not a problem because of the infrequent flights. The quoted 10min walk to the beach is optimistic - more like a sensible 20mins but virtually traffic free. Nice buffet breakfast - cereals pastries bread cold meats cheeses fruit juice etc. Very pleasant host.
Cons: We booked with booking.com against a credit card, when we got there to be told no credit cards - cash only. That was achieved but with difficulty. There would not have been a problem if we had had advanced warning. So ignore what the paperwork says and take the cash.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly and welcoming and more than happy to suggest local amenities and sights. We stayed in a terrace room which was cosy and well equipped and had patio doors that opened into a nice outdoor space. There was a communal lounge space too offering small kitchenette and games!
Cons: Nothing!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We loved the 2 bedroom rooms so that we could put the children to bed and still have an evening. The breakfast spread was wonderful including cava at an extra cost. The communal living room with honesty bar was a lovely place for both the children to play and grown ups to relax. Also useful to have the kitchen to warm food and wash bottles.
Cons: The location isn't great, right by an airport and outside of the main town. It's not noisy or disruptive, just not very picturesque. You also need a car to get around. There is a lovely little village nearby though and the benefits of the property outweigh this slight negative.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly owner, who, as a bonus, speaks English. Surprisingly quiet location in centre of Veurne. There is secure parking at the hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable.
Cons: That we were only staying one night!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Convenient location, god parking, pleasant garden, spacious room.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Well presented breakfast table with a good choice. The rooms were spacious. The hotel has good parking, an impressive garden and is within easy walking distance of the centre of Veurne.
Cons: The shower facilities were modern and very stylish but also very awkward to use.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Close walk to town short drive to other towns / coast. Ideally placed. Parking was easy and secure. Room was comfortable and quite large.
Cons: Nothing to dislike.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The welcome by the owner/staff was lovely and the hotel itself is beautiful with really pretty gardens. The breakfast was great and the larger room of the two we booked was lovely. Only a 5km drive from the beach too and the town of Veurne is really charming.
Cons: There was no air conditioning which was a problem (although we did go in the heatwave!) and I hadn't realised that the hotel wasn't manned after 6pm so there was no way of getting a drink or any food. There were lots of restaurants locally so most people wouldn't be bothered, but my Mum can't really walk so we were rather constrained. If I went back I would probably take a kettle/cups etc.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The gentleman who checked us in and looked after us during our stay was 1st class
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely looking hotel and garden, staff extremely welcoming. Room was comfortable enough but no better than an Ibis - on the cramped side, poor lighting. Bathroom also on the tiny side, also with poor lighting. There are presumably better rooms available.
Cons: Limited hours for reception, and a rear-access system which is not idiot-proof - get the key fob explained so you don't press the wrong part!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very pleasant and really helpful staff. Comfortable large room.

Pros: Few minutes walk to the town centre and on-site parking was good. Wonderful character building, wide breakfast choice and it was warm enough to eat breakfast outside. Very helpful and friendly staff on reception.

Pros: Amazing breakfast, the best of our trip. Friendly staff lots of help and advice. Steps away from the sea front and various Restaurants and shops. Train station is 10 minutes walk away which gives access to anywhere in Belgium.
Cons: Nothing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed here as it is a convenient location for the beach and sailing club. Sailing was our sole reason for being in Ostend. The breakfast was good and perfectly presented and the staff were attentive. The situation is quiet, yet convenient for sightseeing or dining out.
Cons: We have stayed here before, but this time we found the new bedroom layout rather strange. We liked the new decor, but the toilet was located in a windowless “cupboard “ next to the dressing area and away from the main bathroom and washbasin. So a night time trip to the loo became a trek around the bed and back to access hand washing! We also thought the modern basin design strange as there was no plug, inevitably we wasted water by having to wash or shave under a running tap!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Quiet and comfortable hotel.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Clean, comfortable rooms. The breakfast was excellent.
Cons: The view from our room was on other buildings.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: That we were allowed to stay 1 hour longer because of health problems That there were a lot of soya products at breakfast
5.5 Okay
Cons: bed with plastic bottom. Worst
6.3 Good
Pros: Location + Friendly Staff
Cons: No AC + Bathroom design + beds too small.
7.0 Good
Pros: Very clean. Nice bedroom and bathroom. NO AIRCO!
Cons: Airco would be nice.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The property is in a good location. Easy to get to the seafront and to the Ostend at Anchor festival. The room was a good size and was very clean. A good breakfast also.
Cons: The pillows were very hard and not very comfortable, and the room was dreadfully hot at night. More clear instructions on booking.com with regard to parking. I didn't notice that parking is limited. I essentially look for parking when booking (and I use the filter to filter out hotels with no parking), but the hotel only has six spaces. Disappointing, as we had a bit of difficulty finding parking space.

Pros: Everything. Great room, great breakfast and fantastic staff. Easy overnight parking and 20min drop off outside the hotel. Excellent location with everything an easy walk away.
Cons: Rooms were a little to warm. A fan maybe?
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Always nice to visit very friendly staff always very helpful
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Cosy and clean.
Cons: Very poor noise insulation in the rooms. The single room is extremely small (approx 3*2m), but the bathroom is nice and practical. I wouldn't recommend if you expect to spend some extra time in your room.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was excellent, the staff very friendly and the location good
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room we booked was a good size. We were at the top and had a terrace. The room was a bit warm but it is summer. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included in the price and quite good. Parking in the street was fine. You have to pay 3 euros for 4 hours until 8pm when ti is free until 9am the next day.
Cons: Some of the furniture in the room was excellent like the two soft chairs but the sofa and the desk were not. The desk was not really practical. The carpet and curtains in the room seemed to have some dust and perhaps they need to freshen those up.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The place was very clean, good breakfast. Everywhere we went a nice, fresh scent welcomed us. The bathroom was really modern. Vey good wifi for work. Friendly staff
Cons: We came into our room, room 35 and it was really(!!) small. The pictures all show a nice romantic bed but that wasnt the case. We were very dissapointed at first, but the cleanliness and hygiene of the place made up for it. The location could be better, no free or available parking space nearby. Door closes at midnight
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Very friendly staff. Rooms were bright and modern. Lovely breakfast. Would definitely stay again.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good selection for breakfast, above the usual continental standard. Staff were very friendly and gave good local advice regarding parking and restaurants. Very quiet side street, and balcony gave great views over the city. Parking on street is cheaper than the hotel charges, 0900-2000 @ €3 for 4 hours, although you’d be lucky to get a space directly in front of the hotel itself. Short walk to the beach which is magnificent.
Cons: We booked a junior suite which was a reasonable sized room. But the space for the toilet was stupidly small. Literally stuck between the bathroom wall and the bath! Mattress was large, but had sunk in the middle quite badly. No air con in the rooms.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Good location, friendly hosts and excellent breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean central hotel with comfy rooms, helpful staff, a very wide choice for breakfast, with parking available nearby. Also free WiFi worked very well.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable little room with a great view. Breakfast was perfect!
5.5 Okay
Pros: Location is good, breakfast nice with nice selection of fresh breads, homemade jams and fresh fruits. Room 12 is possibly smallest room we have ever been allocated for a hotel! The room was clean with a decent size shower and clean towels, but this was the only positive I can give on the room I’m afraid!
Cons: Room (12) this room is very small and very hot with no air con! Looks out into harbour but it is extremely noisy and having been allocated probably the smallest and hottest room in the hotel we had to sleep with the windows open hence every noise could be heard including the extremely noisy alarm system going off every time the bridge is raised at the harbour!!! We were given a fan to help with the heat however this did not help much and it was also very noisy!! On our last morning we woke up to a really bad sewerage smell in the room, obviously they were having a problem with their waste system! This was not pleasant in an extremely hot room!! Also our room is allocated across from the laundry which would not have helped with the heat in the room! When checking out we asked do they have air con in any of their rooms and we have yet to hear yes or no! The gentleman at reception told us they have newer rooms and extending the hotel but he did not give us the answer to our question which believe should have been No!! Staff were pleasant, however not over friendly. The waiter at breakfast on first day was very nice however the waiter the next two days was not so friendly and at some occasions looked like he didn’t want us there... it would have been nice if he could have wished us ‘Good Morning’ and ‘have a nice day’ but we have yet to hear either!!! Overall it was an ok hotel but would not be one of my recommendations I’m afraid!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast with home made jam. Very central location and ideal for me as I needed to catch a train to Brussels in the morning, and the station is just across the road.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Even though I arrived past the check-in time, somebody was there waiting for me. Thank you!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: nice room and bathroom the view of the harbor very nice breakfast and the private terrace for hotel guests definitely recommended top location
Cons: nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very good.
Cons: Requested double bed, and slept on 2 single beds.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The continental breakfast was very good and quite varied - several cakes were available and different ones every day. The hotel is situated within 5 minutes of the railway station, bus station and coastal tram stop.
Cons: Across the harbour, there was continual incessant low-level noise from what seemed to be engines or pumps on deep-sea rigs which were being built or repaired. The hotel obviously cannot be held responsible for that - it is totally out of their control. Let's hope that it doesn't happen too often in the future, because we really do like the hotel and have stayed there on more than one occasion.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything!
Cons: Maybe in the summer Time would be better to have some appropiate blankets. With that (only big one) was very hot over the night.
6.3 Good
Pros: The location near by train station, walking distance to the shopping and the beach. Good breakfast.
Cons: The bathroom 's door is very noisy. Not only in our room but also another rooms near by. We could hear the door bang very loud. At night, we woke up a few times when other guests using their bathrooms. Another thing that we found It's too strange was "the free drinking water " : there is only one bottle (50cl) per room per stay. So keep in mind, even though you stay 2 nights, 1 week or 2 weeks, you will get only 1 bottle!!!
7.5 Good
Pros: Good breakfast and really good location
Cons: Noisy, drilling noises at 8 am, noises on the hallways, not so clean.. there was hair in the shower and in the bathroom

Cons: Can’t think of anything we didn’t like
8.3 Excellent
Pros: This is an interesting place. We booked just a couple of hours before arriving because we are traveling on bikes and couldn’t make it any further than day, so we just needed a place to spend the night. Well, this hotel was a new concept and totally unexpected so comfortable that we stayed an extra day. The whole building is designed to fulfill the needs of people with different abilities. Everything is accessible in wheelchairs and looks nice not weird. The rooms are spacious and full of light. The beds are the remote control moving kind of bed. At the beginning I was feeling awkward on one of those but once I adjusted it I had the best night of sleep in a long time. The beech is at walking distance with plenty of restaurants. Nice breakfast and my favorite part: there is an infrared sauna available for use at a little fee.
6.8 Good
Pros: Clean rooms Excellent hotel for disabled people
Cons: Lack of bar as advertised , restaurant couldn’t find staff, hence had no breakfast which was included, No staff when checking out although hotel has card details so assuming that bill is paid but no recipient of payment for expenses

Pros: Clean and tidy, car parking good. Lovely village location.
Cons: The hotel advertised a bar, but it was closed due to a function. We were made to feel unwelcome because we asked for drinks and asked for more ice. One of the reasons we had chosen this hotel because it had its own bar. Main road to the village was closed with no alternative directions, so difficult to get to.

Pros: Room was good
Cons: claimed did nőt have out reservation bút have us a room. Pros: lovely hotel and village was quiet and peaceful .
Cons: location was a wedding venue so staff were busy , no meals served over the weekend so not impressed , could have been warned when booking, also breakfast very bland , all cold , no hot food even toast would have been nice.
