Have stayed here on numerous occasions in the past and the standard continues to be maintained, if not exceeded. The facilities are outstanding, and the staff are all helpful at all times. Definitely a location to return to when circumstances permit.
the food was very good in the lounge and the breakfast was lovely. and very good choice. the room was beautiful and room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. the staff were very nice and attentive. great location. lovely hotel in nice grounds. plenty of parking. we would definitely stay again.
there was nothing to dislike.
Lacked ambience Being woken up due to fire alarm going off and having to go downstairs in pj's Apparently alarm activated due to candle being lit Did not appreciate watching staff smoking from room window and getting fumes in room
The quality of service, breakfast, dinner, drinks and linen was superb
It was overpriced. We spent more than usual for this weekend because we were celebrating our 10th anniversary. The room was actually rather small and we had a view of the front garden which was next to a very busy road. It was a good stay but not worth the money we paid.
From stepping out of the car and breathing Lake and mountain fresh air through to breakfast the next morning, a most relaxing visit, way too short but left me wanting to return.Warm and friendly staff at reception (able to find an adapter for the funny U.K. plug sockets), at the bar for a fine malt whiskey, or over breakfast serving a full English.
A small plumbing surprise - power shower just a little too powerful but no damage done!
