Pros: This is a lovely hotel with friendly staff! We were here in November for hiking in Glencoe, which was not a far drive at all. The history of this hotel is so interesting, and we loved finding parts of the old rail station. Our room was much bigger than expected and had a lovely loch view. The beds were really comfortable, and the bathroom was a good size as well. We enjoyed eating at the restaurant and spending time in the bar with the friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast had a nice variety. Best of all was the hot tub and pool! Felt great after a day of hiking. We would gladly stay here again.
Cons: Can't think of anything!

Pros: Beautiful view from the hotel room, even the bathroom! We loved watching all the birds, and even saw an otter at the edge of the lake. Lots of activity options nearby on Ben Nevis and Glencoe where we went skiing.

Pros: Staff very friendly. We were given an upgrade as the hotel wasn’t full, which was lovely for us. Breakfast was fantastic Snug bar is lovely
Cons: We had to wait quite a while for our drinks and order for our food, however, staff were very friendly Restaurant menu seemed quite expensive and bar menu could be bigger
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, staff very welcoming & the food was amazing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stunning location - 10 is not enough. Some hotels may rest on their laurels in such a location - not this one. Attentive staff, great food and spotlessly clean. Can't recommend highly enough!
6.7 Good
Pros: We love Port Appin the setting is fabulous , the food at the pier house is fantastic . Unfortunately we lacked any internet in our room and also the room was stiflingly hot even after turning every form of heating off and opening the window fully . So not a good night sleep .
Cons: Unfortunately we lacked any internet in our room and also the room was stiflingly hot even after turning every form of heating off and opening the window fully . So not a good nights sleep .
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Warmth of the greeting and cleanliness of the room. If anything, the bedroom was over warm.
Cons: I would have preferred a lighter weight duvet. There was a shortage of langoustine and crab on the first night - not a good look for a restaurant that prides itself on sea food. Otherwise the food and wine were excellent
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hidden gem out of the way. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Food was fantastic amazing sea food.
Cons: Paying £160 when there was an ITISON Deal.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The food at the hotel was lovely and the staff were very welcoming. The hotel itself was exactly what we had expected and we would be looking to stay there again.
Cons: There wasn't anything we didn't like, the weather was a little questionable but no one can help that.

Pros: Beautiful setting. Sit I bar and looks at the gorgeous view
Cons: Would have liked a bath

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was a good size and very comfortable . The staff were all very good . The dinner was wonderful as was the breakfast
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The bed & pillows were exceptionally comfortable, to the extent that we wanted to find out where they came from! The staff were all very friendly and obliging, and the manager made a point of coming over to say hello and addressing us by name; a nice personal touch. The amuses bouches were amazing!
Cons: There are only a limited number of rooms looking over the water and we requested one, despite booking late. So perhaps we shouldn't have been surprised to have got a nice view but from the very top of the building. The 2nd flight of stairs to the top is steep & narrow - difficult with suitcases - and, while the room was perfectly adequate, there was nothing special about it other than the comfort of the bed & pillow. Having said that I understand that some of the rooms are about to be refurbished and that may include this one. The food was nice, although the portions were quite small and perhaps the chef was trying too hard? I also felt that the wine list was a little limited, but perhaps I'm too fussy. Overall it really was very nice & a treat to stay there.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location, the views were spectacular, our welcome was very personal. Breakfast was delicious, my husband said his egg Benedict was the best he ever had.
Cons: The restaurant just didn’t live up to it’s reputation in the evening. The meal was very disappointing, service was poor, champagne was served coolish, not cold enough, desert had no sugar in it, so was unedable. Our bedroom was a superior room, supposedly, but was way too small, we were getting on top of each other.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I travel the world and this was absolutely one of my favorite stays. Robert and staff went above and beyond at every turn!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Unbelievable location. Remote but fantastic. Great food and fantastic staff.
9.6 Excellent
Cons: Sea view room would have been better as we had a junior suite and were at the back of hotel.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Most things
Cons: The bed More like a trampolenehad terrible sleep and apparently all rooms have them
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The bed was very comfortable. Recommend room 2. It was also very quiet. Food was excellent.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Food was excellent
Cons: Waiter needs to look at personal hygiene
