Pros: Perfect accomodation with a great host Hamid. Super clean rooms with everything you need to feel comfortable
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I spent there two nights and felt totally welcome. Everything was very clean and the host Hamid did everything to feel comfortable! Breakfast and Dinner were perfect! Nice view to the mountains from the terrace and good point to start your hiking tour. I can recommend this accomodation to everybody.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hamid was such a welcoming host. He accommodated our very need and was so helpful. He was very welcoming and kind and we really enjoyed his company and his hospitality. He organised a guide to take us up Toubkal in a few minutes and also organised for us to rent equipment that we needed. The food was delicious - we ate in every night. We especially loved the kebabs. We couldn’t recommend a stay here any more highly.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location and view, like you're in a tree house with a bird's eye view, high above Imlil and the surrounding mountains. Very friendly and helpful staff. They have a filtered water spout in the kitchen, and they will gladly fill bottles if you ask. It's a 10 minute walk up a path to the Riad from the village, but no worries as they arrange a mule to haul your luggage. For the price you're paying, the rooms are decent and clean, the beds are comfortable, and the food is good. This is a great value for money and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
Cons: It would be perfect if they installed a self-serve filtered water tap out on the terrace so you don't have to ask when you need water.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friends and I traveled to Imlil to hike Mt Toubkal. Mohammed was a fanatic host who went out of his way to make our stay one to remember, sorting out a guid for us for a good price, letting us leave luggage with him while we were in the mountains and an amazing dinner and breakfast overlooking the Atlas Mountains.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The position of the place is well located and the views are excellent not far from the water falls of Imlil. The manager Abdulhmeed was very helpful and friendly he prepared an excellent Tagien, Kofta meal for us and the best chips we have ever had. The children enjoyed the ride on the Mule on the way down from Dar Adrar.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We loved our one-night stay here. The hosts were very friendly. We asked Mohamed to organise us a guide for 2 day-treks, which he did, and they were excellent- exactly what we wanted. We ate dinner and lunch the next day at the property and it was delicious home cooked food. We are very happy that we stayed here.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Roof top Food Friendly staff Cozy room Warm and cozy living room Hostel owner organizes hikes to toubkal peak very fast and easy

Riad Atlas Prestige - Imlil - Bedroom

9.3 Excellent (524 reviews)
C$ 32+
Overview Reviews
Situated in a national park, this guesthouse is within a 15-minute walk of Toubkal National Park and High Atlas. Aksoual and Souk Hebdomadaire Ansi are also within 12 mi (20 km).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very helpful and kind. We felt well looked after. It gets very cold at night in November, however our room had a heating and in the night you get hot water bottles, the showers are hot, as well. Dinner was very good, too. We ate there 3 nights and it was also always a different tajine and menu, whichever was nice. They also helped us with a tour. On a side note: in case you just want to do an easy trek, don’t book a guide just ask the hosts for a recommendation where to go. It is easy to get around.
Cons: nothing
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff, who gave us good tips on some local short treks. My favourite part of the stay was sitting in front of the wood burner reading a book, after a long walk. Then being served a tasty evening meal. Hot water bottles in the bed were a nice touch.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Riad Atlas Prestige is an extraordinary place with very friendly owners! Our Room was clean and we had an awesome view at the mountains. Dinner was very delicious and absolutely worth the money - as we are both vegans we somehow challenged the chef and he made an awesome job preparing tasty food out of fresh and healthy ingredients! Warm water bottles ensured comfortable nights, we would always come back to this place and definitely recommend it to all of you!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff were amazing , nothing was too much . We were given hot water bottles which stayed hot for hours. Food was delicious Room had tea making facilities We were provided with a donkey to help bring the luggage from the road up to the riad. Staff also organised our transfer back to Marrakech. It’s an amazing mountain retreat.
Cons: Nothing to not to like
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff are friendly and welcoming and go out of their way to make you feel cosy. Theres slippers for guests in the rooms, a fire lit for breakfast and dinner and hot water bottles placed in your room in the evenings. So cosy!! And much appreciated on a chilly November evening. There’s a cute little terrace which has a couple of deckchairs that are perfect for star gazing- as long as you’re wrapped up warm! We stayed in the triple room which has a lovely mountain view, a nice warm and powerful shower and a heater you can control yourself. Finally, dinner both evenings was really tasty
Cons: There was no view of either sunset or sunrise from the property but that’s hardly the owners fault- there’s a massive mountain in the way!! The stars at night are breathtaking and the view during the day is also exceptional
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Traditional rhiad beautifully presented and fantastic views
Cons: Nothing but quite hard to reach

Pros: Wonderful, that’s all you need to know!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Relaxing getaway with great food. Stunning location.
Cons: Gym facilities could be improved.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stunning location with beautiful views across to the Atlas foothills, really comfortable bed and room, and glorious gardens. Extremely relaxing and exactly what we needed to recharge. All of the staff were extremely friendly and polite, absolutely faultless and we loved our stay.
Cons: Some variation to the lunch menu, but really am struggling to come up with anything negative really!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The quietness, the spectacular views, the lovely pools and sun-bed/relaxing areas, the cinema (although the seating in here would be made so they are more comfortable and sofa like), the food, the friendly staff, the service, the fires on the cooler mornings and evenings. The feeling of being cocooned in peace, olive trees, bougainvillea and jasmine.
Cons: The seating in the cinema could be better, but it isn’t so bad you can sit comfortably to watch one of the free movies. I wasn’t keen on the overuse of water in plastic bottles - I felt a water-fountain, distilled water supply would be more eco-friendly. The hamman treatment was good although the harsh scrubbing (which I didn’t expect) left my skin a little sore. The nail varnish used for my manicure and pedicure were old and have left yellow/orange stains on my nails - so feel a new supply of varnish would be good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Capaldi Hotel is a small bit of paradise just outside the crazy hustle and bustle of Marrakech and a much needed respite after a very busy holiday to this point. It was true respite. We relaxed, read, swam, ate amazing food and enjoyed the tranquil grounds. The rooms are large and they seem to be cleaned 3 times a day. My husband is a curious traveller so asked Eric a multitude of questions which he was very pleased to answer. I spent some time in the library and other guests enjoyed the cinemaand badminton. We highly recommend this property. The grounds, the room, the restaurant, pools and staff are all outstanding.
Cons: We wish we could have stayed longer.

Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing place in the centre of Imlil. A beautiful Riad with stunning views of the surrounding mountains. We had a stadard balcony room, whilst a little small (no storage for clothes etc) it was great with huge windows and a nice little balcony looking out to incredible views. The roof terrace was really nice, although we were here in November so a little chilly out of the sun. In the summer i can imagine it being awesome. Breakfast was great, very substantial typical Moroccan breakfast; (lots of) bread, jam, pancakes, eggs, coffee, tea juice etc. Staff were very friendly and helpful, helped us with a few local day walks whilst we were there and provided us with water too. The whole place is beautifully laid out and decorated, especially the moroccan style lanterns that are lit each evening. Cant recommend this place enough, amazing value for money!
Cons: Only things really, room was a little small but what we paid it was perfectly reasonable. Also a bit of a design flaw where the heating/AC unit was above the window so you couldnt use it with the curtains closed. Very minor gripes!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff! The Riad is in a perfect location, although a bit hidden from the main road. They cook a really nice meal in the evening. Clean rooms with a nice view. Perfect base for exploring the surrounding area.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The property is simple yet very charming and great value for money. We had incredible views over the Atlas Mountains and a super comfy bed and heating to keep us warm at night.
Cons: The check in experience could have been improved as we weren’t greeted on arrival and had to navigate lots of stairs.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A fantastic place to stay—beautiful setting, good food, & extremely helpful staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location and clean rooms. Friendly and helpful staff, good quality of homemade food.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel in Imlil! Quiet and low-key, my room was large and very comfortable. Good breakfast and dinner, and they were very knowledgeable of the area. I asked (last minute) for a guided tour, and one of the staff members himself (Ibrahim) led me on an amazing hike up to the top of a mountain.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Helpful staff (organized us a tour guide within 10 minutes and made everything possible to get our car started when battery was empty on the morning of departure day), simple but clean rooms, nice bath tub, blankets for cold nights
Cons: Better room heating would make the stay even more comfy in winter months
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Take the room with balcony view. Beautiful room with view on the mountains. And the best shower! Ibrahim is very nice and helpfull and speaks very good English. Great food as well. One of the best places in Marocco!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: when I went to pay for my laundry, the gentleman said there was no charge. fantastic. also, I liked the fact that they share the tips with all the staff.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was unlike anywhere I’ve stayed before - it was so peaceful and beautiful. My favourite spot was lying by the pool and looking at palm trees, mountains, donkeys and horses as well as all the little birds flying around.
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hosts. Really good food! Great for kids.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The welcoming was excellent. The project of Jnane Thihihit is inspiring
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The moment you arrive at Jnane Tihihit you feel relaxed and in peace. The farm and the garden are beautiful and well organized. The hosts are very friendly. My kids had a blast and they are already asking us to go back! I highly recommend this place for families.
Cons: We weren't clear on the activities for kids - for example the person in charge of horseback riding didn't accept to take us on a ride because we were 4 people but a few minutes later he took a family of 6! We didn't get it... Also, I thought that the kids could participate in farming activities but it's not the case.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful farm , amazing food. You can tell the place is a real labour of love . We were made to feel very welcome. Haven’t felt so relaxed in eons !
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We just loved the whole place. It's a working farm, vegies, fruits and animals. There is a beautifull pool to relax, and the animals are adorable. There are (nice, gentle, well behaving) dogs around that accompany the guest IF they want to. The food is delicious. Very nice and caring staff.
Cons: Some extra's a bit overpriced. And the in between cleaning of the rooms could have been better.
7.5 Good
Cons: The facility is clearly aged and not renovated for a while, you can see and feel the former glory but it all feels used and old now.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly, helpful, English-speaking owners; comfy, cozy, nicely decorated rooms up to European standards including heaters when it gets cold; delicious food for dinner and breakfast; efficient table service; large garden area with all kinds of trees and plants; lots of animals on the farm; lots of activities offered; everything was modern and clean; a very relaxing and enjoyable getaway place not far from the craziness of Marrakech.
Cons: Not a great road in but can be done with a regular car (by far the best entrance is from Lalla Takerhoust through the nearby village of Makhefamane); no locks on bungalow doors (but rooms include a safe).
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff was really nice and friendly, always available for helping out. Terrace for lunch and dinner is beautiful

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were wonderful and the location breathtaking I am going to recommend it to everyone travelling to Morocco. The bedroom we had (16) was especially nice as well as the views we had two balconies.
Cons: The water in the shower was not hot enough considering it gets cold in the evenings in October. I am sure it is perfect during the summer months but needs to be turned up for the winter.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view was incredible during sunrise and sunset. The brutalist architecture was a little bit of a put off at when booking but on arrival it was beautiful amongst the landscape and the design of the garden. The staff were very attentive to us so much that when we arrived just minutes before sunset they ushered us to enjoy the golden view along with complimentary tea and biscuits before checking us in, that little touch of care was wonderfully appreciated and set the tone for the rest of our stay.

Cons: The restaurant is very poor.

I traveled alone for my birthday and the amazing staff made me feel very special, they even song me happy birthday at dinner and presented me with a cake. 9.2 Excellent
Pros: The property was about 10 minutes walk out of town, which was what we wanted, somewhere quieter. We walked to many of the surrounding villages that had no tourists at all, it was nice to see how people lived. We enjoyed 2 nights of delicious home cooked dinner, tajine and couscous, the portions were so big you would never go hungry. The host was a bit on the quiet side but lovely.
Cons: We liked everything.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were really friendly and gave us tips for walking. Good sized breakfast and tasty dinners! Lovely cabin on the terrace with log burner.
7.9 Good
Pros: Nice view to the mountain from the terrace
Cons: The flat was cold, there are only two air-conditioners in the bedrooms which are not sufficient to heat up the whole flat. As a result, it's impossible to sit in the living room and relax.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Host very welcoming, good family room and excellent home made dinner.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful staff, they provided a friendly guide for Toubkal. Great location for walks and nice hot shower.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: The heating can be a problem, but it was adressed
6.0 Good
Pros: Imlil is a great place and Riad Oussagou is a great place to stay if you are visiting. Hussein speaks English and it was great as most Morrocans dont. Great experience. We loved it. The Riad has all the amenities required to enjoy an off the beaten path (read touristy) but still be comfortable. Highly recommend making the trip from Marrakech to this spot especially if you like Mountains/hiking. If so Riad Oussagou is a good place to go.
Cons: Food was great but was toned down for western palates. I would have loved to have the real stuff with spices
6.7 Good
Pros: The family running the Riad were very welcoming and helpful. If you dine at the Riad you will be served tasty, wholesome, and hearty meals, very welcome after a day's walking. You are also likely to be able to exchange tales of trekking in the Atlas Mountains and ascending Mount Toubkal with a interesting, cosmopolitan mixture of other guests. If you do intend going up Toubkal I would recommend getting a guide and ensuring you have proper clothing for the summit.
Cons: You do need to be aware that if you are going to stay in Imlil there is no bank or ATM and Credit Cards are not accepted. This means that you need to take sufficient cash with you to cover your bills, taxis, purchases of Berber rugs etc. etc.
5.7 Okay
Pros: clean, friendly stuff, good dinner for a correct price, nice views from the terrace, great location after a trek
Cons: If you come from the Jebel Toubkal trek, we have to count 30 minutes more for reaching this riad.
7.0 Good
Pros: Excellent value for money in heart of Atlas Mountains - hotel staff were exceedingly helpful and location in the heart of Berber villages was just as described.
7.3 Good
Pros: The staff was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner were yummy!

7.9 Good
Pros: the set up is marvellous. the gardens beautiful and well maintained. with all the space and pools you really can relax. the hike around, is beautiful. there is so much more you could get out of this place only 1 hour from marrakech
Cons: personnel is in the passive mode, service below average for such a high end place. food (choice) is below average and quality. give possibility to make coffee in the room, clean up the area around rooms and pools when guard is switching on the lights. show guests the extensive possibilities you have around the site
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast and dinner. Property is set in lovely garden and there is a marked walk to enable you to see some of the surrounding countryside and villages.
Cons: We were disappointed that the bike hire was shut for the 4 days we were there.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Nice and big Rooms, but a bit old, friendly stuff.
Cons: All in all it was the worst 4 Star Hotel I have ever been. - no minibar or water heater - no drinking water in the room --> even in small hostels is this the standard..... - everything is very expensive - the pool in the SPA is extremly cold (16°C), only the jacuzzi was warm --> For the Sauna you have to pay extra (ca. 25€ for 20 minutes...) - they serve breakfast in a room with a bad working fireplace. Your clothes smell like smoke afterwards and i got cough from the smoke. But the stuff is very friendly, after we asked, it was possible to sit outside. It is so expensive, so we only eat once dinner in the hotel (60€ for 2 Persons!! Without drinks) .. and we got a FOOD POISONING after it). All in all the food in the restaurant ist not good. It was the most bad food of our whole marocco vacation, but therefor the most expensive, haha. The Restaurant opens only a few hours a day (this is also bad, because Ouirgane is really small und the Hotel is outside). You have to make a reservation in other Guesthouses if you want to eat dinner or something like that and there are no restaurants in the village, only in the Guesthouses. But the Food there is really good!!! And safe. The most time we eat at Dar Amethyst and there you can eat also fresh salat without worries. The Spa was okay. But even in Germany you get more for the price, really more. But this is valid for the whole hotel. We are very disappointed from this hotel. This is most expensive hotel i have ever been, and i travel a lot through the world. But therefore it was too bad. The best days of this hotel are over. It is old and the bungalows need some work.. The Garden is beautifull but a bit dirty, i think in summertime it looks better :). 2 of the 3 outdoorpools and the outdoorjacuzzi are not usuable. I think they dont have enough money to solve the problems in this hotel. There where beside us only a few other guests. And the bungalows are poorly soundproof (we could hear our neighbors having sex).
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Incredibly beautiful. Very friendly and helpful staff
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Paradise. The grounds were as beautiful as anywhere I've ever been. Great food. I forgot a bag at check out and they put it in a car to Marrakech for about $50. It was a massive relief. Delighted.
Cons: The room was comfortable, large and clean - but a bit dimly lit.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Every thing, location, staff, rooms, food ....... every thing was excellent
Cons: It’s perfect, very nice garden, very good selection of flowers, nice big room, good furniture, .......

6.7 Good
Pros: Beautiful views and relaxed atmosphere
Cons: Breakfast could be improved on.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The staff was nice
Cons: The hotel is in bad condition, everything seems old and neglected, it looks like it used to be lovely but now it’s just run down... the restaurant is expensive and since there is almost nothing else near by I would expect there to be more options to choose from at a more reasonable price.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wow! Nice lodges. The restaurant in the garden. The special lake view. The friendly staff.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location with amazing views. 2 pools which are amazing. We spent 8 relaxing nights at du Flouka. A peacock, a few dogs and cats are your neighbors, as well as the sound of the birds. Dinner and lunch is great. I can highly recommend the dinner menu. Especially the fish and chocolate cake. Breakfast was basic but good. Fresh orange juice and a different kind of jams. Air condition worked perfectly and the staff was just amazing. I can highly recommend staying here to relax and breath fresh air. We will definitely come back!
9.2 Excellent

Staff are very kind, excellent breakfasts on the terrace and we were provided with delicious and substantial (vegetarian) evening meals. Look forward to staying here again
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I highly recommend this hotel. Great service, exceeding our expectations. We were offered many additional services for the price of accommodation. The hotel is in the center of the village, a very good starting point for trips to the mountains.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very good location in the center of Imlil. If you plan to go for hiking or start your route to the mountain refuges, this is perfect place. Close to restaurants but meals available also at Hotel Soleil. There's safe parking by the hotel so you can leave your car there (2 MAD/day). Beautiful terrace close to the river where you can eat, catch some sun or hide in the shade of trees. The sound of the river you can hear from the rooms in the background makes you rest vell at night (but mind there are also rooms looking to backyard). Very friendly and helpful staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Thank you for EVERYTHING! The Hotel is really nice with a Big garden/terrace. The Tajine was really good. Thank you Khalid for explaining so much about history, culture and traditions of imlil and Berber - it was so interesting!!! Could recommend the Hotel to the fullest! Alex and Paul

Pros: The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Also, the dinner was excellent; in fact, the tagine I had (with chicken, preserved lemons and olives) was superb.
Cons: The hotel could have communicated more clearly to us about meal times, especially regarding when the food would be ready. But since we were not in rush, this did not make a huge difference to us.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: + Very friendly and helpful staff + The breakfast + The pool area + Very calm retreat + The backyard part of the hotel is an olive grove
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The friendliness of staff and the location make the place a hotel of choice for anyone traveling to the mountain region of Asni and around. Excellent value for money.
Cons: There was no credit-debit card payment facilities so that we had to pay with the cash we had at hand-luckily just enough! Staff could have warned about this issue at check-in!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly service, very kids friendly too. Charming garden, great pool ( kids loved it) and seating area. Food menu options are rather limited ( we think because of location), but very good quality compared to many other places in Marokko! So go for the dinner! We had 2 perfect relaxed days and we would definitively return. Thanks again to the staff who made these days special.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property in the middle of the mountains, great view all around.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: View is great, very calm place. Rooms are clean and spacious, swimming pool is very good. Staff is nice, and breakfast is good. will definitely go back
7.0 Good
Pros: We got a free upgrade, room 19 is very nice. There is a great pool, where you can enjoy the sun or just read a book sitting in the shadow. The water is cold but acceptable. The resort has a vast garden with plenty of space. It is best, to have an own (rented) car. The mountains of the High Atlas are magnificent, so drive around, visit Ouirgane, its water reservoir, Asni (buy here real Argan oil!) and definitely visit the Tinmel mosque driving through the gorge of the river Oued N’Fis. We had a good meal in Ouirgane at restaurant Mohartirste.
Cons: The breakfast was simple. We got dry cake of some days before. Bad hygiene in restaurant: cups were not clean and each time after breakfast some diarrhea. We think the price is too high in proportion to the standard of living in this part of Morocco.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: A complete escape. Not many tourists, so felt very private and privileged. Staff were helpful and friendly.
Cons: Some parts are in need of renovation.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Awesome views, wonderfull room, best place in marocco!
7.9 Good
Pros: Nice architecture, swimming pool and Table tennis!
Cons: Breakfast is allright, not special. WiFi is not good.
6.3 Good
Pros: Beautiful location and lovely lodge rooms. Nice pool!
Cons: Being in an isolated location there is no real other option for eating elsewhere...the food was OK but extremely limited choice and overpriced.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Lovely team at the hotel and very accommodating. Beautiful scenery.
Cons: The cost of food was extortionate for what we were served. It was nice food but not for that cost. I was also unhappy that the hotel took payment from my credit card as we checked in. I was assured when I used the card to book that no money would be taken so I was annoyed that it was all just taken. Lastly, we booked the villa that catered for 5 as that was the size of our party. We did not realise that this villa is very very basic in comparison to the others available. Please also be aware that the 5th and 6th additional beds we just the sofas that were so uncomfortable that we had to nick the sun lounger covers to make them even close to mattress like.
7.1 Good
Pros: Very nice staff Good breakfast Exceptional view and plenty of fruit trees
Cons: Swimming pool was not clean. Local restaurant quite expensive for launch/dinner. Could not pay by card. I had to pay cash or by cheque.
6.3 Good
Pros: Spacious comfortable room in a gorgeous setting. Off the beaten track and perfect for a true rewind. The chap who waited on at breakfast / dinner provided great service. Fkexible when i needed to change the dates of my stay.
Cons: Whilst the room at first glance appeared very nice, upon settling in it wasnt as clean as i would have expected. The glass table, side table and coffee shelf were all dusty. The room was not refreshed in our 2 day stay; didnt expect sheets or towels to be changed but no one came to room to make our beds, refresh tea / coffee or clean cups / glasses that had been used. Also water for teeth and fruit that the i room manual said should be in the room never materialised. All minor things but staff should take care of these basics.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location; beautiful rooms; very friendly and accommodating staff
Cons: When we showered, there was a really bad sewage smell. Payment for the hotel is in £; not in € or Dh as advertised. The food was ok but expensive.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff were fantastic and made us feel very welcome. They couldn’t have been more helpful. Aisha, Rafik and the chef made every meal a feast and Rashid took us on a half day trek in the valley. We only stayed 2 days in Dec and it was quite cold at night but we would like to come back when it is warmer as it would be lovely to sit outside in the evening. A good location for viewing the night sky and bird watching!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, super-friendly staff, comfortable beds, tasty local food, wonderful excursions organised with the manager when we got there (4 hour mule trek through valley villages, and half day car excursion to 900 year old tinmel mosque in the mountains).
Cons: Swimming pool looked rather cloudy and not pristine like in the pictures. Didn’t bother us because it was too cold to swim but you’ll be disappointed if you arrive expecting a luxury western style pool. This is a home-like lodge with a kitchen, not a hotel. Food is not immediately available outside of breakfast and dinner times. If you want lunch you need to order it in the morning for a specific time. If you’re arriving mid afternoon make sure you bring snacks or eat lunch en route. Rooms immaculately clean but bathroom felt a quite rustic and there was a strong smell of sewage that come up from the drains when you run the shower. Probably unavoidable in such a rural location which is not on mains water supply, so didn’t mind. But read the website: it’s a rural retreat, not a luxury hotel!
