10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property is gorgeous with lush plantation all around and everything has been created for a calm, tranquil experience. Rooms and the main house are decorated beautifully with great care and attention to detail. I found the 2 peacocks, Tarzan & Jane, that roamed the property entertaining and a joy to see everyday. Twice per day I enjoyed the complimentary yoga classes, had a well-needed deep tissue massage and was given a complimentary facial. I also enjoyed a hike around the property and met some really nice people. The best part of the whole experience was the Beautifully prepared Healthy Foods. I was eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner and occasionally would have a glass of Organic Wine. Every meal was a symphony of color and flavors! Next visit I would like to take some cooking courses. I found this place by accident and will definitely be back for a longer stay. The Staff were very accommodating, down to earth, and sincere. You could tell they enjoyed their work.
Cons: No complaints except I wish I found it earlier in my trip.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view; the silence; the pool; the food and the staff
Cons: The only thing was the protein at lunch that was not included.
7.5 Good
Pros: The food was *VERY* very good and healthy. The staff was really nice and caring. They make us feel like home. Thank you for that. The yoga class and the pool were also very nice.
Cons: However we choose this hotel to relax and chill before. It was not the case because : 1. Our room was *FULL* of insects : spiders, ants, lizard, beetle, and even a scorpio! 2. The hotel was *VERY* noisy during the day as workers were using jackhammers. As we came to this hotel especially to relax, it was really disappointing. They should have told us that it will be noisy, we would have find another place. And then, when we mentioned our dissatisfaction, they didn’t make any commercial gesture. At the end, not the level we could expect from a high quality hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff amazing. The food is something else. Yoga twice every day. Great location.
Cons: Relax
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The food was wonderfully prepared with vegetables from their farm. Our rooms were impeccably clean, with every detail thought of. Great pool and hot tub with fantastic views.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about this property is unbelievable. The spa, the food, the setting etc... Angeles gave us a tour of the garden. We have never tasted and seen so many different tropical fruits. She was wonderful. We cannot wait to return.
Cons: Nothing. Everything was perfect!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff and food outstanding
10.0 Excellent
Pros: super attentive staff
Cons: got here at night . would be good to have a sign with light at the entrance
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We’ve only been here once before and everyone in the staff remembered us. Their service is awesome, you get 2 really good yoga classes per day, there’s not a lot of people around, and our favorite (besides location) is their food: 80% of what they cook is home-grown (you can visit their orchard as well), and they have an open kitchen concept so you can actually learn about what they cook and how.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was superb, high up in the hills of Atenas overlooking the central valley to the west of San Jose. The rooms were extremely comfortable; one had a small private garden, and a well-equipped kitchenette, the other had a rooftop terrace with all-round views. We were warmly welcomed by Vaillant; and enjoyed a splendid dinner in the restaurant, again with stunning all-round views of the surrounding valley and its twinkling lights
Cons: Can't think of a single thing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Food
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was excellent food was fantastic
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location and the view are just amazing! The hotel is on top of a mountain and has a 360 degree view! I had a room with private roof terrace. The room was super clean, comfortable, mini fridge, nice TV with English channels and a full wall of windows with patio doors, with again, an amazing view. The restaurant also has an amazing view. The food was great, the staff super nice and helpful. I really have zero negative comment, only 100% positive. I'm planing to return for a night every time I fly into San Jose from now on.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The View! What a View! The place has a lovely small pool, the rooms are clean, comfy, cozy, still look pretty new, good furniture. Nice delicious breakfast for an extra fee. The coffee was delicious. Staff really friendly and helpful, very close from Atenas downtown, supermarkets, ATM, restaurants, and even the beach.
Cons: The food and drinks in the restaurant are a little bit expensive. If you don't have Waze, you might have issues finding the place as there is a lack of signages on the road.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: As they say in the Real Estate Business -- location location location. Beautiful views and the suites are large and comfortable. You can do a little meal prep if you like doing that. We enjoyed being able to prepare breakfasts and sometimes a lite meal.
Cons: My one and only complaint was that a light bulb was out in the bathroom and it was very dark. couldn't see much of anything, which may have been a blessing!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic view and only a 45min drive to the airport. This was a great last stop before our flight home to relax.
Cons: It's quite far away from other resturaints however their resturaunt serves food all day which was quite tasty.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: I love the location, on the top of the mountain. Room with privet roof terrace - great! Dinner is just amazing! Price for dinner was ok, not very expensive. View also great!
Cons: Breakfast was poor and very, very expensive. Even more expensive than dinner. Quality of the breakfast very low. Which is surprising, because the dinner is more than delicious. If you are coffee lover, the place is not for you. Problems with coffee in the morning.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff are wonderful. They really make your vacation beautiful. The view of the Central Valley and the mountains is breathtaking.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location super friendly staff and the VIEW!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The B & B was set in the hills overlooking Atenas. Steep, at times rough road to the property. Fantastic setting overlooking the surrounding hills. It is often v windy, but this does ameliorate the temperature. Swimming pool small but good to cool off. Atenas is a small town with a few restaurants & easy access to the airport - about 30-40 mins as well as San Jose, the surrounding towns, San Ramon, Grecia etc. The climate particularly of the B & B (higher altitude than Atenas) is v pleasant. Staff helpful.
Cons: The room was supposed to have tea/coffee making facilities & a hairdryer. When we asked, there appeared to be only 1 hairdryer on the property, which did not work v well. There was a room which had info and other things eg tea, but this room was locked after breakfast. Our room needed updating. Other rooms appeared to have even given a makeover & were brighter. We would have been better booking the cheaper double room, rather than the triple room with the double & single bed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Tap water git nice and hot! Very accommodating when my friend needed to check in early. Sweet little grounds dog greeted us in the morning. Beautiful view to wake up to! Cute common room with small library.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely place not too far away from the airport. We booked this our first night in Costa Rica after picking up our rental car. Perfect for one night to recover from the travel, calm down, get into the vacation spirit. Nice room and pool area. Good breakfast and friendly staff. Spectacular view!

5.0 Okay
Pros: Great location. Friendly staff.
Cons: Missing basic room supplies. Shower dangerous in design - left pools of water on bathroom floor. Included breakfast was meager and not kept well supplied, unlike past years we have stayed here. Room decor stark and room echos.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Mattress, pillows, cleanliness, wifi, breakfast buffet, and friendly staff.
Cons: Wished they sold wine in their store as they do beer.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is very close to airport so great for coming in late or leaving early. Good breakfast and rooms are spacious and very clean. Hotel staff very welcoming.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Everything about this now premium travel hotel is fantastic. Expensive but everything you need as a transit hotel.
Cons: Have stayed many tines, but unfortunately last night the first I have been addressed by a sour, unfriendly and frankly rude female receptionist. Shame on her. Really put a negative stamp on my stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazingly helpful staff. The shuttle was continually running and prompt. I had a hard time ordering pizza for delivery using Uber eats due to language. Staff helped me so it and was patient and smiled the whole time! Felt completely safe as woman traveling solo.
Cons: Could’ve had coffee out for those early flights. Not the full breakfast, but just the coffee station would be nice.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location near airport
7.0 Good
Pros: Spacious and very nice rooms , provision of 24 hour coffee and good breakfast
Cons: There was only one issue, there were two large beds in room , unfortunately when I pulled back covers on one bed there was a clump of human hair which was not very nice. I reported this to the cleaning manager who promptly attended and was very apologetic, and said he would investigate issue.
7.0 Good
Pros: Close to airport
Cons: Under remodeling and noises from jackhammer
7.9 Good
Pros: Near airport
Cons: Staff was excellent. Hotel nice but more than twice as expensive as a similar hotel I stayed at in San Jose a week earlier which had slightly better facilities and a better breakfast.
7.0 Good
Pros: Clean, good location
Cons: We asked for quiet room and ended up by elevator that made noises each time it was used.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: easy check in and friendly staff. The breakfast is also very good and well prepared. Hats of to the cooking staff.
Cons: nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We love staying at the Hampton in San Jose. It's real close to the Airport and the service we received is above expectations. They answered all our questions we had . I would recommend this place over and over again. See you again next year.

4.0 Okay
Cons: Much too expansive for the service provided
9.0 Excellent
Cons: A small fridge would be welcome.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about this hotel is wonderful! The linens, breakfast, cheese and wine in the evening...all first rate quality! A few minutes from car rental and airport and with dining next door-it works so well for me!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We got in late to San Jose so we like the name/brand recognition & convenience to the airport. The facility was clean, people friendly & helpful & the breakfast good. We think it was a little overpriced for the room but the breakfast made up for it, it was a very good breakfast, comprehensive & the service/attendant was great.
Cons: The hotel is a little "dated." It could use a little spruce up. It smells a little. Musty/musky. Hallway carpeting? Get rid of ALL the carpet! But, it was CLEAN. Very important.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Shuttle made it convenient to head to the airport. Also appreciated that we could exchange US dollars for CR colones at the front desk.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was so comfortable, pillows perfect for us. Everything was clean. Pool was clean with lots of towels, seating. Staff very accommodating. Nice end to our vacation
Cons: The room door tended to slam shut if you weren't careful when letting the door close. This was for all the rooms so ended up hearing a few loud bangs over the course of our stay. But I think it may be necessary for security to ensure the doors closed behind clients
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: No

Pros: Location to airport and super clean
Cons: People next to us were constantly going in and out at late hours at night, just heard door slamming which made it hard to sleep.

Cons: The hotel is close to the airport which we requested but the aircraft noise was constant through the night.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Really good breakfast buffet. The hotel staff where really friendly and helpful to me with whatever I needed. They were able to find a rental car for me,in high season at a really good rate. The car was brought to me right to the hotel the very next day.

Cons: Bill was mixed up & Never did get our points
8.0 Excellent
Cons: many rooms are on the ground floor. they did move me when I requested it but I would not be comfortable staying on the ground floor in this area.

3.7 Mediocre
Pros: The beds,work comfortable
Cons: Major sewage problem, breakfast issues and staff unwilling to help with excursions or seeming to have a problem ordering takeout for guest!! I requested to speak with the wonder, no success.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I've stayed here 3-4 times so far. It's my go-to when I arrive Costa Rica and depart. The staff is very helpful, the rooms are very clean, I wanted to take the bed with me - very comfortable! I have only tried the New York Strip and tiramisu - both amazing. A great quiet little hotel.
Cons: Very very strict on their 11 am check-out time.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was comfortable and clean. Room was handicap accessible. All systems worked well. Toilets were silent type. Ample hot water. Staff was helpful and courteous. The hotel continues to be our go to place when staying in the Central Valley and a very good value. Hotel owner was flexible when we had a change of plans due to the virus.`
Cons: Beds were a bit too soft for our taste. This is a personal preference. I am sure for others the beds would be fine.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very good rooms. We liked ist very much. I can recommend. Ist was nice and a lot of Space in the Suite.
Cons: Our room was a little loud. I don’t know maybe a AC from the neighbor suite. Maybe I am too sensitive with noises. Staff could have given a smile while checking in but in these special days I can totally understand that everyone is stressed and overworked!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was clean and simple. Nice pool. Comfy soft bed.
Cons: HOWEVER the description says ten minutes to airport. It's completely not true. It was about 45 minutes to airport at 5:30 am. If it were traffic it would be longer then an hour to drive to the airport.

Cons: Breakfast could have been a bit better.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Close location to airport and free airport shuttle.
Cons: Bed sheets were not clear. Furniture in room were dusty.
7.7 Good
Pros: Perfect hotel for the money. We had three rooms, all with two queen beds for only $92 per room. The staff was exceptionally friendly, the pool and gardens are nice, and the restaurant was one of the best meals throughout our trip. Airport shuttle was on time even with our 3:30am pickup.
Cons: The shower has soap/shampoo and conditioner (I think) attached to the wall. I'll probably avoid the "conditioner" if I stay again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the shuttle service to airport worked great
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff. Good restaurant with variety of options. Shuttle was very efficient. Great WiFi.
Cons: Open air so floors etc were a bit dusty. Pool didn't tempt us.
7.0 Good
Pros: Proximity to airport was perfect. It was like a little oasis next to the factory/warehouse district near airport.
Cons: The airport shuttle ran only every hour. We were hoping for more shuttles. Once there, especially without a car, the restaurant is the only eating option. While convenient, it's expensive and average.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice Ambiente. Good Restaurant en Site. Spacious rooms. Friendly staff. Good WiFi. We will be back.
Cons: Showers are difficult to work. A bit tricky to find if you drive your own car.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Gardens- even though really near the airport
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: The swimming pool and gardens. Breakfast OK
Cons: The staff on the front desk were the worst we have ever come across. It started when they made it clear that they they did not give a flying fug about the promised transfer from the airport not arriving - this nearly lead to us being mugged and cost us money. Simply NOT bothered. It was also the same with any simple request for advice - "Don't bother us, we couldn't give a fug!" Poor introduction to CR (and we didn't find this in any of the other places we stayed in CR). Needs new management.

7.5 Good
Pros: Relaxed atmosphere in a quiet area
Cons: Hotel showing some signs of its age but still very comfortable
8.0 Excellent
Pros: It's a nice boutique hotel feel, although there seem to be many rooms. Restaurant on site. it's on the top of a hill, overlooking the city. Good value for money.
Cons: The tour I had booked with the hotel never showed up. I ended up ordering an Uber both ways and touring San José by myself. The restaurant is nothing fancy, and the wine list barely average. It's kinda far from anywhere, so a car is necessary. Overall it feels somewhere between colonial and needing to be refurbished a bit. The transfer from the airport is 40 USD, and it's overpriced.

Cons: The girls at the reception need a big training on costumer service. Not helpful at all. They didnt make us feel welcome. They look upset at all times. No one cleaned our room. We booked a Canopy tour and they cancelled without telling us ahead of time. When we showed up at the time of the tour they said that the guys were gone. And they didnt give us any reason why it was cancelled they just said: "The canopy tour guides are gone".
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: The flat screen, furniture and breakfast food.
Cons: My reservation had breakfast included, they gave me a room without breakfast, without confirming. I found out until later when I went to eat the next morning. The receptionist got mad when we could not find the room, so she had to get up and guide me, you could see it in her face, she wasn't happy. Plus everything in the room had sounds, the door, the bed, the bathroom door, the fan, everything. It's like staying at an old house below (u guessed it) their bar... awful

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel has a boutique feel to it but everything is also clean and in very good condition unlike some other rustic/boutique hotels I've stayed at. It's located on a hillside and has amazing views in all 4 directions. Great outdoor seating options and a nice pool. Also a lovely indoor lounge with fireplace and a quaint restaurant and bar. The rooms and bed were huge too, I was completely shocked at how nice it was for the minimal price I paid for a weeknight stay. The staff was also extremely friendly and helpful, even helped me print my boarding pass before checking out. Would definitely stay here again!
Cons: Honestly can't think of anything I didn't like about this place.

Pros: The location is great & I've stayed there before. The staff is always pleasant
Cons: The hot water knob in the shower didn't work. So I could not shower in the early morning before a flight.

Pros: Manager & food
Cons: Place
8.0 Excellent
Pros: it was in a great location being a five minute ride to the airport. The manager took me in her car as a bonus and out of her kindness. Friendly staff. The place was very clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay again the next time I go to Costa Rica and need a place close to the airport. I travel there every winter and have never found an airport hotel that was this nice for the money, so I highly recommend it. A great value for the price.

Pros: Helpfull staff.
Cons: Some spider webs on the room and borders of sink could improve in cleaning.
7.1 Good
Pros: Big and breakfast included
Cons: It seems a bit old. Too loud between rooms
8.5 Excellent
Pros: They accommodated our very late check in. The rooms were huge and clean. The complimentary breakfast was amazing. The grounds were very nice. The staff was great. Each time I emailed, before the trip, I got a very quick response.
Cons: No hot water for the shower. It was hot for a few seconds, then cold for the rest.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: The prosciutto pizza and the zoo across the street but That's it.
Cons: This hotel is so falsely advertised it's disturbing and the entire property looks to be in disrepair . the first room we booked in the villa was Dark, old musty and dusty smelled like an antique shop so we had to request another option. Ths second room option we saw was upstairs in the villa Had only one old queen size bed in a room with no air-conditioning and in the room that had the air conditioning next to it was an old dirty couch that pulled out into a bed and only had one uncovered piece of foam as a mattress. My daughter saw the foam and said Mommy I can't sleep on that . Finally they said they had a room in a newer building yet it had no decorations no toiletries old bedding dirty walls in the bathroom and old uncomfortable beds. Their website & Name suggest a luxurious Spa that only has one maybe two practitioners working at any given point in time. Still the spa is the nicest part of the entire property ... yet the equipment they're using to do manicures and pedicures has dirty cushions and looks like it was handmade 40 years ago.. We called to book services weeks prior to our arrival and they told us we needed to wait until our arrival.. then when we arrived and tried to book our services they told us they were booked up for the day and so when we tried to book the next day we had to wait all day to find out if they could get a practitioner to come. Then By dinner time they told us they could do a couples massage as well as manicures and pedicures for my family Yet when our massage rolled around they only had one massage therapist and one other practitioner doing manicures and pedicures available and so we had to get our massage services done separately while the other practitioner there did manicures and pedicures .. Their web site touts four bars but actually only has one working bar and sever
7.9 Good
Pros: Decent hotel, easy to find and not far from the airport
Cons: Facilities were fairly tired and not up to the standards you’d expect from a modern hotel. Staff were thinly spread and not enthusiastic. The room facilities were poor (not even a kettle and the air on barely worked)
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful grounds, clean rooms, comfortable beds, air conditioning in each room, lovely patios on our rooms. Room service was quick and delicious. Located directly across the street from an animal rescue center.
Cons: Some squealing pipes and a couple loose fixtures but nothing critical.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Martino lived his dream and he did a good job. He created a great hotel in a fantastic place. I liked especially the wooden carved doors with carvings of the history of Central America with all the culture that was destroyd by Europeans. Also the painting in the the restaurant round the staircase with presentations of life of the inhabitants before the Europeans came and the brutality of the conquerors. Besides, the food was of good quality, the beds were fine; the bathroom a bit small for these days, but ok. Not to forget the wonderful national zoo right across the street, just a two minutes walk away with a big amount of animals in natural surroundings or big cages. We saw hundreds of animals, Even two lizzards near the huge hotel pool, where every now and then also birds came to drink and take a bath.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very practical location close to the airport. Easy to arrange airport pick up and since I left very early the next morning (before the first free shuttle) they arranged a taxi for me (pay about $8-10) and a light packed breakfast.
Cons: Since you are staying close to the airport there will of course be some sound from the planes. As I arrived late and left early it didn't really bother me even though I'm a very light sleeper. Use good ear plugs and you will probably be fine for a night after traveling/before an early flight.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Nice setting
Cons: Gave us a very difficult time about a shuttle for an early flight even though they agreed to it in an email inquiry. They later wanted to charge us. Very argumentative and unpleasant. Will not stay again.
6.3 Good
Pros: Feels safe despite the surrounding of the not so nice neighborhood next to the airport.
Cons: Pool and pool area was not very clean. Room was outdated for the payed price.
7.1 Good
Pros: We stay our last night in this hotel to get our flight early next morning. We had free transportation to the airport, safe trip and on time. Because it was early morning, staff were kind enough to prepare a take away breakfast for us. Room and area were fine. The pool was nice but we didn’t use it because it was too cold for us
Cons: There was a very bad smell (like farm..) coming from outside the hotel. Because we were close to the airport, there was expected planes noise
8.8 Excellent
Pros: There's a restaurant that has the feel of a soda on site. Rooms are comfy and staff is very attentive. Perfect spot if you need a place near airport but don't want to stay in an American chain hotel that lacks character.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very secure location. Alajuela and San Jose are a bit crowded and sketchy. This is is a suburb of Alajuela. We state there the night before we returned to the United States. It's close to the airport and downtown but in a safe and quiet spot that is not too remote. The staff is really warm and helpful. Great experience. Free airport shuttle as well.
Cons: no complaints
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel was conveniently close to the airport. They run a shuttle bus service to the airport. The grounds are well maintained. The owner is very helpful as was the staff.
Cons: Outside the property there is very little to offer a visitor, Only stayed two nights so did not matter. Room did not have a mini fridge, again it did not matter.

Pros: Transportation service
Cons: Limited time for meals

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The environment the room and the experience
Cons: Everything was great!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We got a villa with a nice view over Alajuela, very clear, spacious and comfortable. There is an immense park with a river trail, a beautiful tropical garden, a chicken aviary... ideal for an easy trekking with children (trail not doable with a stroller). There are 3 swimming pools, all with different views. Staff was nice and helpful overall, though standard for Costa Rica and not as personal as in many of our other hotels (bar is high in Costa Rica ;o). Convenient location for visits of Alajuela and nearby points of interests, and the airport (vehicle needed in every case though).
Cons: The restaurant is overpriced: 90USD (with service and taxes) for 2 of the cheapest main courses and 3 glasses of wine, and it has nothing special except a nice view on Alajuela lit at night (but it’s not New-York city, let’s be honest). Also, I asked for an espresso for the breakfast, they would charge me 8 USD ! We ended up having all our meals downtown. This has put us off from the beginning as being the last hotel of our trip we were hoping to settle and rest without having to drive anymore. I was also not convinced by the amount of concrete that they have used everywhere in construction, a lot of massive walls that protrude from the otherwise green landscape; though they have generously painted it with vivid colors which slightly makes it up.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: great place, clean, spacious room, 3 pools (one heated) and waterfalls on site. Staff nice and not pushy. Breakfast was best we had in CR, homemade banana bread was awesome.
Cons: was fine for us but FYI when it says aircon it means a ceiling fan. Was perfectly adequate but if you expect a full-on aircon unit you will be disappointed. The restaurant is nice but if you don't fancy it then there are very limited options for food near the property. None if you don't have a car, especially at night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent villas, superb location, amazing gardens.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stunning property, wonderful staff. We stayed in 2 different villas (due to extending our stay) and they were both beautiful. The gardens are beautiful and the waterfalls are legit! We will be back! Pics are both from the villa, but I have many more of the fantastci grounds.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Such a unique hotel. I loved the gardens, the reserve with 5 waterfalls (such a lovely hike) and the pools especially the sunset pool. The views from our room was incredible. The sunset views were my favourite. I think the room/ villa that we stayed in was simply the most beautiful room I have stayed in a hotel. I could stay in that room, looking over that sunset view from the terrace for days.
Cons: We had a flight very late at night and they kept our luggages out at the reception right by the front door. We were going through our luggage, looking for our things when people were entering the hotel and checking in. They don’t have any room to let you get changed after you check out so if you use the pool after check out your only option is to get changes in the toilet... The restaurant, although it has amazing views, had mediocre food and was extremely!!! Expensive.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved this hotel! We were only there for one night. We were sorry we couldn’t have stayed longer. This property was amazing! After a long day of driving, we were greeted by friendly staff and offered a nice refreshing drink. Our spacious room had a gorgeous view, and the room itself had a lovely patio with a table for nice breakfasts or room service. They grow the majority of the food they serve in their restaurant on the property so it is fresh and tasty! The restaurant view is stunning. The complimentary breakfast was delicious! They make all their baked goods from scratch! Yummy banana bread and granola, plus fresh fruit and some traditional Costa Rican fare. The lands are surprisingly large with hiking trails and some stunning waterfalls and a small bamboo forest. All of this for a sweet reasonable price! We highly recommend this hotel. We’ll totally go back!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This has a large beautiful site with lots of trails three pools and wonderful views
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast that came with our room was incredible. The view of the San Jose / Alejuela valley was amazing from our patio. The villa that we stayed in was very private and it was very unique. It was also far enough away from San Jose / Alejuela where you were not in the middle of the city life but close enough to where a 10 minute drive got you to all sorts of really nice restaurants. I highly recommend Xandari for all couples traveling to San Jose.
Cons: Overall, our experience at Xandari was amazing! If I am being really picky, the only thing that could be improved on is the pillows. However, this is by no means a deal breaker for the wonderful experience we had at this resort.

Pros: Tap water git nice and hot! Very accommodating when my friend needed to check in early. Sweet little grounds dog greeted us in the morning. Beautiful view to wake up to! Cute common room with small library.
