Pros: Excellent value for money. Andre has everything in place and just superb. A great welcome, with a super room and so quiet, ensuring a great nights sleep. The shower was great, the breakfast was fresh and tasty. We could not have asked for any more, and finally Andre is a great host. Thanks so much.
Cons: Nothing to add.

Pros: Meat, cheese and eggs could have been available
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property was fantastic! It as modern and comfortable while still being warm and inviting. Our hosts were very friendly and accommodating. They were helpful and patient with our poor and limited French. They were happy to speak to us in both German and English and gave us a great tour upon our arrival. The kids really enjoyed seeing the farm animals and playing outside. The location is great with close proximity to the city center and fairly good dining. We will stay here again and will recommend it to friends.
Cons: The restaurants within walking distance were just ok. However, it just wasn’t that far of a drive to better dining.
10.0 Excellent

Pros: Fantastic little guest house with the most accommodating host. My children loved the way the room was set up and our little dog was so happy in the garden. Breakfast was just beautiful and nothing was too much effort for our hosts. Only regret is that we arrived too late to enjoy their company and beautiful house and gardens.

Cons: Boring and small breakfast, fresh, and nice products ... but ... very simple.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: breakfast was great, plenty on offer, location was chosen as a overnight stop on our journey, so did not get to see city. because of location hotel could benefit from a restaurant on site. we used the local IBIS.
Cons: NOTHING TO DISLIKE
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff were all very attentive and well informed of the local facilities Spacious room/bathroom
Cons: A restaurant would really suite this location. Although the bedrooms are spacious they are not furnished enough and the layout could be much improved.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice family room and good breakfast!
7.5 Good
Pros: Clean comfortable rooms.
Cons: No where near for evening meal.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Clean rooms and great shower, secure car park on site, good breakfast. Air con was a bliss after travelling 12 hours in motorbike gear in 30 degrees heat! Staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: When I originally looked to book this, I was positive there was a restaurant for an evening meal as we were travelling from Austria to Metz and knew we'd be arriving in the evening and would not want to go out again. However we were surprised to find that there wasn't one, but the hotel opposite had a restaurant that we were able to use, so wasn't as big a deal, but a minor whinge. The bed was rather hard for me, though the rest of our party slept ok.

Pros: It was a reasonable sized room. We did ask for two single beds and the sofa bed but got a double bed instead. This actually worked out better in the end. The staff were lovely and very helpful and the breakfast was extensive, fresh and accommodated my fussy teen and 6 year old. Would happily stay there again. Close to the centre and perfect for visiting the Metz Pompidou centre which we visited and thoroughly enjoyed.
Cons: We were happy to stay there for two days and would recommend it to families on a short stay.

Hôtel La Citadelle Metz - Mgallery - Metz - Building
5
8.4 Excellent (2,299 reviews)
C$ 220+
Overview Reviews
Opened in 2005, Hotel de la Citadelle, near the historic and cultural heart of Metz, is worthy of top recognition for high-end hotels. A large military building, built in 1559 to preserve Metz square, conquered by King Henry II. This simple and pure building has 68 rooms: 2 suites, 4 meeting rooms, 1 lounge bar, 1 gourmet Michelin starred restaurant "le Magasin aux vivres", directed by Christophe Fosse.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Location was good, central for cathedral and main area.
Cons: We found the hotel overpriced for what it was. Average decor, average fittings, nowhere near a 4 star in our experience and twice the price it should have been. No towels or tea provided for our 11yr old (i.e 3 people in room). Extra for parking and breakfast and had I not challenged an extra 20E per night for our dog who was small and didn’t impact anything. Reception staff unfriendly and unhelpful on arrival, thankfully much more polite and helpful on checkout. Would not recommend compared to others available.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful checking in. Several staff spoke English very well. (Something we needed since we didn't speak much French and the trip had been spontaneous so no time to brush up on it.) The location was SUPERB for easily walking to shopping, eating, local venues, and historic tourist attractions. Peaceful and in the middle of things all at the same time.
Cons: Hard to find where to park and then parking was said to be included but wasn't. The shower didn't function as a stand up shower. It was more a sit in tub and spray off.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Convenient stop over between Rotterdam and Les Houches. Excellent quisine & réputation of the Chef.
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The position of the hotel and the a la table restaurant
Cons: The room could be more updated
8.3 Excellent
Pros: All the rest. P
Cons: That the reception desk was unable to tell us the way to the hotel as the road to the hotel was blocked by roadwork that the GPS did not show.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The building is 500 yrs old and was built as part of a military fort. The rehab is very new and has five star furnishings, finishes, accommodations and services. The staff was ultra friendly and could not have been more helpful. Short stroll to town (5 min) and Metz is very cool.
Cons: Nothing to complain about. And I'm normally a grumpy old man about things
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good location in the city center. Staff are helpful.
Cons: The hotel is well conserved but you see the time in the room decoration and bathroom equipment. Price without breakfast not parking is a bit high
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location and parking
Cons: The air conditioning very noisy
8.8 Excellent
Pros: brilliant location and nice and quiet
Cons: staff were indifferent
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Quality
Cons: Mattress.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and friendly staff. Rooms very nice and bathroom spacious and modern
5.0 Okay
Pros: In a good location
Cons: 1) Information written on booking.com is not accurate and reflecting the real situation of the hotel 2) towels are ripping and old 3) room booked with air-con but allocated one without air-con, thus needed to open window and too noisy outside
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is amazing, right across from a stunning Cathedral. Lots of restaurants close by to choose from for dinner. Old style look but with some modern comforts. The staff were warm and friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was good simple food with a nice variety. Really enjoyed the atmosphere. The parking is a little tricky but the hotel goes out of their way to make it easy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Centralized to the Catholic and Protestant cathedrals, the Theater, the Market, shopping, restaurants and many other things to do. Front of hotel is overlooking the Catholic Cathedral and the rear overlooking the rear street with views of other Cathedrals and the river in the distance. Breakfast is worth eating there; you could save some money by eating at the McDonalds but the food will not be as good as what the hotel restaurant offers in the morning.
Cons: Inner rooms get views of the small garden lounge area. I did not mind the room we got which was facing the rear street and was tucked in and quiet. Best views are facing the front towards Cathedral. I didn’t mind the antique look of the place, but my wife immediately said she would rather stay in a more modern place. After the first night, she had a change of heart and was pleased with room and hotel.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Charming hotel in a great city. Location couldn't be better. We stayed in the annex, the rooms there have A/C! Great value for money. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Lots of restaurants and bars at your door step.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The bathroom was tastefully appointed and with an attractive polished wooden floor.
Cons: I had stayed here previously and loved the elegance and spaciousness of the rooms. Therefore it was a great disappointment to be given a far inferior room in a sort of annexe which bore no comparison to the pictures on the brochure or website. It was pokey, dark and airless, not to mention a trick up a rickety marrow staircase. I feel the drop in quality should have been reflected in the price and made clearer, as in other hotels, that there were vastly different types of rooms on offer.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A very nice hotel for its age Staff very helpful A great breakfast And fantastic location
Cons: No lift up to room
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful room with exceptional view.
Cons: Traditional bath only makes showering difficult if you're not used to taking baths.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect lication, wonderful old building, very good service and breakfast excellent. Good parking arrangements with local car park.
Cons: Nothing- all excellent. No lift but fair enough in such an iconic building.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Courtesy and location
Cons: Bed (too small) and lack of cabinets and vardrobe

Pros: Comfy beds Spacious room
Cons: Little English TV Breakfast expensive
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I felt as comfortable as if i were at home
7.5 Good
Pros: Rooms very clean Good food. Good location
Cons: I paid in advance for the room, then was charged a further £15.70, but not sure why. Breakfast for the 2 of us was a complete rip of, 37 euro for coffee, a bit of bread and some small pastries! We are meant to be staying again Sunday on way home, but not sure I want to now! Bed was rather hard too. But
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Comfort was good reception was good .restaurant staff fairoom.
Cons: Area of location could be explained better as it is in light industrial area.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It had a large enough car park that was not too busy it was accessible with a couple of places that are suitable for supercars. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were spotlessly clean and fresh.
Cons: The breakfast quality and variety was absolutely disgraceful. Also with 14 euro per person one would think that all the food available at the buffet probably cost less than 14 euro. Breakfast seriously let down an otherwise very good hotel.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We liked the room size the bar area and the pool
Cons: After informing the hotel staff that my husband was on a gluten free diet, there was no connection with us over it and therefore the breakfast experience was not so good.

4.0 Okay
Pros: The location at the historical center
Cons: Cleanliness of the room, the bed covers were stained and not clean. The bath needed improvement as well the closet was clearly an issue. Also they advertise parking. But do not have it. I had to pay my own parking about 700 mtrs from the hotel.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was located in city centre with all point of interests in walking distance. The hotel service was absolutely polite and let us check in earlier - they also agreed to take care of the luggage after check out for us to have another full day in Metz.
Cons: n/a

Cons: Drunk people in the street

Pros: Fantactic, helpful staff
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location, comfortable and clean room with a great shower. Friendly and helpful staff
Cons: Nil
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Central location, functional room and lovely staff.
Cons: Hotel has a deal with a car park - bit of a drive away - and not high enough for cars with roof box on it.
7.1 Good
Pros: Building and location in Metz was perfect and very quaint. All in all a fun hotel.
Cons: Parking was far away. The room lacked air conditioning and on a 34 degree day it was uncomfortable most of the night. The bathroom was a bit dated. Great in cooler weather. Not summer.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: As the name suggests, this hotel is very central to all the attractions in the city. On this score, it can't be beaten. The price was very reasonable which compensated for the negatives.
Cons: Reception is on first floor, up steep stairs. Rooms are on second and third floors, up spiral stairs. The rooms and decor are old and tired, although some will pass this off as "character". The window opened onto a street with at least three noisy restaurants. Double glazed windows shut out the noise, but we roasted in Europe's heatwave without air conditioning. There is no storage for bikes. We paid €5/night/bike in nearby underground parking, which was locked at night, but anyone could walk away with the bikes in daytime, as the garage remained open and there was no staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely staff, good breakfast, cute rooms.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Exceptionally helpful staff.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful welcome with good recommendation for dining and places to visit Hotel is in a great location; easy walking distance to cathedral, shops and restaurants.
Cons: There was some street noise that disturbed some members of our party - the down side of being in such a central location

10.0 Excellent
Pros: the parking though 11 euros was excellent right behind the hotel with secure gates and door entrance into lobby
Cons: could have spent longer there
5.8 Okay
Cons: Hotel really needs renovation
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good location, own parking, comfortable rooms, all in all, we like this hotel
Cons: Sorry, but the breakfast selection is a little bit poor ... Unfortunately, this characterises not only this hotel, but characterises all French hotels. There are never any kind of vegetables: no tomatoes, no peppers, no onions, no cucumbers, nothing! There is scrambled egg what made from egg powder... What I hate... This is a fake scrambled egg, what is inedible! You can find cold boiled eggs... I could recommend the French hotel managers to look around at some Italian, Spanish or even Polish, Hungarian or Czech hotels and they will see immediately what a good breakfast is... And in exchange for giving us such weak breakfast, at least they do it very expensive... Never included in the room rate:( This is the truth, once again sorry ...
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The entire package
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The receptionist was particularly helpful and we appreciated the secure parking. The close walking proximity to the Centre Pompidou as well as the centre of the city is very good.

Cons: The sofa-bed for the children was squeaky and not very comfortable.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Nice location, friendly staff.
Cons: The breakfast. The kitchen was not well organized. They forgot to buy eggs or the pancake mix and there were not anough people to clean the tables and to bring more food so breakfast was to long. And with no eggs or pancakes....

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast. Good WiFi. Gentle staff. Child-friendly. Centrally located. Close to the central station. City center within walking distance.

Overview Reviews
With a stay at this residence in Metz (Les Îles), you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Metz Cathedral and Centre Pompidou-Metz. Featured amenities include laundry facilities and an elevator (lift). Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
6.7 Good
Pros: Location of Hotel (central to everything), Price is very reasonable.
Cons: You get what you pay for. There is a reason why this Hotel also rents to students. This is what it feels like, like a student home. Fairly modern, but cheap, also regarding comfort (i.e. bed+ air conditioning). You can not expect more for this amount of money. Problem was to find it, a couple bigger signs (outside, or road-marks) would be nice. The parking is a nightmare. The architect of the parking garage should be slapped.
7.9 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: No air condition. Difficult to sleep on a hot night
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Clean, 2 windows, a big bathroom and a small terrace
Cons: The parking is too small and always full
7.1 Good
Pros: Good parking but garage bit cramped. Difficult to manoeuvre with car larger than compact.
Cons: Breakfast was rather minimalistic
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location is quiet and close to the old city centre. The balcony was a lovely space to look out over the rooftops to the Cathedral. A big bathroom and good shower. Parking 2 mins walk away in place St Vincent is free after 7pm.
Cons: A little hard to find when approaching by car - it’s off a street that looks like it’s only for buses and is set back from the road - Look for a big yellow building set back off the road down a pedestrianised walk way, directly opposite the Pl St Vincent car park) Room was a little smaller than anticipated and a little basic.
7.0 Good
Pros: very quite place. In suitable walking distance from the city center. The room is new and the beds are pretty good, although narrow.
Cons: the refrigerator was not very clean
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Modern hotel near to the centre
Cons: Difficult to find hotel and parking
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location is good, at walking distance from the old center, with the possibility to park nearby.
Cons: The smell in our apartment was horrific. Same for the hallways of the building. This building looks like temporary student housing that is rented out to tourists in summer - it would help if it's advertised as such. Overall not booking.com quality.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was comfortable Spacious Good view.
Cons: Parking lot is like a maze. I was told go down once and go up twice. It was not that simple.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The proximity to the city centre
Cons: The room was quite small, compared to the photos. We would prefer a room with balcony.

Cons: they charged me twice
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast as always in Ibis hotels.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast. We had connecting rooms with an extra door in between, which was very nice for our family with four kids.
Cons: The location is not suitbale for a walk with the kids in the evening. But an Ikea is located within 200 meters with a nice indoor playground for the kids and cheap dinner!
7.1 Good
Cons: They took a holding payment without my consent after I had booked through this website on a free cancellation booking. I had to wait for my bank to refund my money.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: A very nice place for a night stopover. The hotel location was ideal if you are traveling on auto routes. Parking is very spacious and free of cost. Breakfast was reasonable and with sufficient variety. Beds were comfortable and room had air conditioning for a sound sleep.
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Twin room very comfortable, air conditioning super as very hot. Meal good inspite of service
Cons: All new trainee staff in restaurant resulting in total chaos.

7.9 Good
Pros: Good location and good breakfast
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Breakfast
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff is very helpful. They sent me my phone charger after I left it in the hotel. Excellent service. Good parking nearby and close to to the city centre. Walking distance, nice area.
Cons: Overall very good hotel. Some small room for improvement at breakfast. For example espresso machine instead of only filter coffee in thermos. More choice in fresh fruit. For a 3 star hotel ok breakfast but with small changes csn be made excellent.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Position, staff, cleanliness, room (two windows!), bathroom
Cons: Breakfast (sorry but bread and croissant weren’t absolutely worth of France!)
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice selection of food for breakfast and very central location close to old town
Cons: No air-conditioning
7.9 Good
Pros: The location is quite good - close both to the train station and the city centre. We had a nice view on the square and the fountain. Breakfast had a sufficient variety. There is an elevator.
Cons: The room was not ready by the time of check in (15.00). There's a smell of some cleaning substance in the coridor. The elevator only works from the reception to the higher floors (you have to carry luggage from the ground floor to the reception at the first floor). The room for breakfast gets quite full in the morning.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Spacious room for 3 people. Good Wifi. Very good breakfast with juices, joghurt, cereals, cold cuts, cheese, croissants, baguette, jam. Good shower in the bathroom. Close to Place de la République.
Cons: we stayed there on a hot summer day. The room was right under the roof and has no air conditioning. It was very hot in the room!. I, personally don't like carpet in a room. Very small bathroom.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is amazing. Staff are friendly.
7.1 Good
Pros: Pretty much everything else. Nice staff. Clean room. Comfy bed. Great shower. Good breakfast (fresh coffee and pastries). 6 min walk to centre.
Cons: Roof top room. Very hot (though they gave us a fan). Water pipes made noises throughout night. Only 1 night stay so didn't bother to say anything

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good position to visit the city, very nice view from the window, very clean
Cons: The bathroom is very small, but everything works well
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff always willing to assist in any way. Easy access to the city center [5 minutes walk to Place Saint-Louis and 10 minutes walk to Metz Cathedral]. Very quiet room / neighborhood. The private underground parking right under the hotel was provided at very reasonable price and was very convenient for us since we were traveling by car [we had make reservation].
Cons: Relatively small room. However, this was not an issue comparing to the benefits, location and price of the hotel.
7.5 Good
Pros: Great location
Cons: On arrival after a long drive. The male receptionist was rather abrupt and impatient with our attempt at speaking french. Bad start to holiday.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Secure underground parking (remember to reserve a place). Room was a tad small but it was fine for an overnight stay, it was clean & comfy. Staff were friendly. Breakfast good. Central location for city centre restaurants.
7.9 Good
Pros: Parking was very convenient. Location was not where the hustle and bustle of the center is but in a nice quiet street.
Cons: I expected it but fair warning that the bathroom is small but functional.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location was very good. Memory foam pillows were very comfy. Overall very good value for money.
Cons: Breakfast could have been a bit better, it was missing some veg. Selection was very limited.
7.1 Good
Pros: The location was good and the rooms simple and clean looking, but too small for a wheelchair user like me.
Cons: Breakfast was unspectacular and the juice machines were not stocked the night before. I'm in a wheelchair and the access was tight to the restaurant and the room and lift. The bathroom was too small to manoeuvre in
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Friendly staff. Rooms are compact but clean and comfortable. Perfect for an inexpensive nights stay in an ideal location
Cons: Bathrooms needed a little tlc. But for the price it was more than adequate.
6.7 Good
Pros: Location, breakfast, quiet and the staff were quite helpful
Cons: The size of the room
Grand Hotel de Metz - Metz - Building

Overview Reviews
A stay at Grand Hotel de Metz places you in the heart of Metz, just a 3-minute walk from Metz Cathedral and within a 5-minute drive of Centre Pompidou-Metz. Featured amenities include a business center, express check-in, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby.
7.5 Good
Pros: Central location, at €125 a spacious room (24 mtrs), seperate toilet, excellent breakfast. Good hotel but not in high summer with dito temperatures. Parking easy at 300 metres in indoor parking Cathedrale.
Cons: No aircondtioning is not of this time; at least a proper ceiling fan would be called for and/or a seperate airco unit - at this price. The only really authentic parts are the staircase and the facades, but the interior has been renovated extracting all quirky details one would expect from such an old hotel. Room and corridors lack interior decorating: only one small painting on the wall and the rest a blank canvas .....
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This is a nice comfortable hotel. Staff are friendly and it was nice to have access to ironing facilities which are needed when travelling through multiple destinations. There are nice restaurants nearby and although the hotel is quite central the street noise is not at all noticeable
Cons: Plastic cups for coffee facilities in the room...
5.4 Okay
Pros: The location is in the middle of the center.
Cons: The bathroom was very old fashioned and not very clean. They have tried to upgrade the hotel with litlle investments but it stays old fashioned. Small elevator. The parking place is also a few blocks away.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location was good. Large clean room.
Cons: No airco or fan
7.5 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Old interiors in need of renovation
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Brilliant guy on reception
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very nice Hotel in the middle of the town Metz, very comfy beds, quite silent, good breakfast
Cons: Parking your car nearby is very difficult and costy....
7.1 Good
Pros: Room overall was quite sufficient for a one night stay - I would not want to stay there any longer. You could see that it was an old building that was very grand and it has been renovated but without air con. Very central to the shops, cathedral and restaurants. Parking was also close by.
Cons: The hotel would benefit from air con in the rooms or at least provide proper fans for their guests. Whilst we were there the temperature in Metz was in the low 40's and overnight this did not drop below 35 - so sleeping was a problem. We asked for a fan which did not work very well at all. We did not take breakfast as we thought 11 Euros per person was very expensive - and there were shops along the road where you could purchase breakfast for less.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: location was great, breakfast was simple but delicious - coffee was pretty good, there was a machine and oranges to make you fresh juice which I loved
Cons: all good, nothing to complain about
7.1 Good
Pros: The location was close to everything and easy to walk around the city.
Cons: I overlooked the fact that this hotel doesn't have AC. It was 41 and they didn't have fans for the room. That would have been useful.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Convenient, centrally located.
Cons: No air conditioning, typical for European hotels. Parking is terrible- you have to park in a lot that is 5 minutes away from the hotel and hail your suitcases there.

Pros: Super clean room and nice beds.
Cons: The rooms were pretty noisy including the airco. The wifi was very weak on the 4th floor.
7.5 Good
Pros: Been to this hotel before. Just off the motorway.
Cons: If you have the windows open you hear everything going on. It was very noisy the night we stayed.
7.9 Good
Pros: The location was adequate, only a short stroll to the city center. The room was small but clean. I wouldn't recommend it for big families, though. The personal is very friendly and helpful.
Cons: The parking - the hotel has a very small parking with a limited number of lots. As we arrived, all lots were full so we were asked to park our car elsewhere. There is a big parking on the opposite side of the street belonging to the train station, though.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Room and bathroom were specious. Location of the hotel in Metz was great for our road trip. Also walking distance from main attraction in Metz Staff was friendly great value for the money
Cons: Bad smell came from one of the sinks in the bathroom. We stayed for night so did not bother us too much
6.7 Good
Pros: Location. And parking. View from balcony.
Cons: Expensive breakfast. Not worth the money.
6.3 Good
Pros: The girl working at the hotel was very nice and helpful. They placed a baby bed as soon as we asked, which was great. The hotel is very close to parking spaces, Musee Centre Pompidou (3 min walk) and not far from city centre (10 min walk).
Cons: The hotel itself however is ‘faded glory’. It’s a warm and stuffy family room. But what to expect for the price - that’s reasonable.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: It was very nice, clean and well located.
7.9 Good
Pros: Good location, helpful staff, no parking fees.
Cons: It was noisy at night - we had to have windows open (it was hot and there's no AC) and the street in front of the hotel is very busy.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent value for money, nice room, nice staff, nice breakfast. Good location- close to the train station which is a nice area in Metz.

Cons: Nothing it's perfect
6.7 Good
Pros: Our two rooms were actually together with a separate entrance. In the main part of town you pass a really nice pedestrian area with shops leading to a lovely square with many restaurants. There is also a great park with manmade waterfalls where children and some adults were wading. Almost all of them have outside seating. We were able to park right in front of the hotel.
Cons: You have to walk 15 mins to get to a restaurant in the main part of the town. No a/c but with two rooms we left windows open and doors and had a breeze.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Such a charming classical hotel, with little balconies in the room and the bathroom as well and huge windows. Good location in a lively and interesting city. Great value for the money.
7.9 Good

7.5 Good
Pros: Good location and quiet
Cons: A bit basic but really okay
7.5 Good
Pros: Located in an old part of town. Many buildings already renovated, many more in the process of. Many shops closed, business for sale. Hotel good and friendly. Car Park entrance very tight. Received guidance from the receptionist. And she helped me get on line. Good hotel at the price.
Cons: Everything was fine.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Nothing particular
Cons: We booked provided we could secure parking. We had received the answer and they said parking would take 10 Euros. We accepted it. On the day of arrival we found we could not park our car there. What could we do except driving around for two hours to find parking. Many of the parking places were "complet" and at last we found one that cost 17teen euros overnight. We had to walk 15 minutes to go to the parking and drive to the hotel to pick up our luggage. If we had been told it was possible we might not secure parking, there are a lot of other hotels. So our lesson is we will never ever stay at Comfort Hotel.
4.6 Okay
Pros: The location.
Cons: The room was not very clean. My friends' room had a leak in the bathroom sink. The garage was over booked and I had to leave my car keys at the reception where I discovered later there was no one with a driving license able to drive!
7.9 Good
Pros: Staff very welcoming. Private (closed) parking (but paid). Tea and coffee with kettle in the room. Checkout at noon.
Cons: Bedroom and bathrooms a little bit small. Some noise from other rooms (superior floor).

Pros: Location is good and in an historically interesting area. The secure hotel car park is a bonus in this busy city. Helpful staff and our room & bathroom were well-equipped. Over-all, very good value for money.

7.9 Good
Pros: The staff in reception and around the hotel were extremely helpful. Good advice when it came to sights and car parking received. Pros: Great location for a one night stop as we were on route to Bavaria. There is a shopping centre five minutes walk away with a pizza restaurant next to a lake which had a beautiful water fountain and light show to jazz your evening up! MacDonalds is almost next door!
Cons: There were no staff to book us in and the electronic key pad was very awkward to use. Set at a height to allow wheelchair users I had to bend down considerably to see the key pad. Another guest helped us gain access and without the help of Karen we may have been there still!
