10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was spacious, and thoughtfully designed to have everything we needed. We felt well looked after as soon as we arrived. The pool looked so inviting and relaxing but sadly we didn't have enough time to use it! We will most definitely be back again and stay for at least a couple of nights. Breakfast was fabulous - fresh local produce or else food prepared by the owner. We couldn't have been happier with our stay apart from needing more time to enjoy it!
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: After an exceedingly long journey, it was a pleasure to receive such a warm welcome from our host. The room exceeded our expectations, upon entering the room it was beautifully cool due to the modern air conditioning unit that was set up - the main room had ample space with a large double, connected to that was another large double with a wonderful view of the surrounding landscape. Connected to that room was a very well equipped and spotlessly clean shower room. Bedding and towels were of a high quality and the mattresses/pillows were extremely comfortable giving us a very well rested nights sleep. Tea and coffee was available in the room and also to note there were plenty of plug points so there wasn't any arguing over who got to charge their equipment first!! The breakfast provided by our host was huge! Breads, croissants, cheese, cereal and yogurt, fruit and jams/preserves made by the host herself from trees on her land. Freshly pressed orange juice and a large selection of teas and coffees also accompanied breakfast. The pool was a welcome relief after a long day in the car and was kept open late into the evening so we didn't have to rush upon our arrival. We will definitely be coming back!!!
Cons: There honestly was nothing we didn't like. Everything was excellent.
10.0 Excellent

Cons: Nothing

Pros: Beautiful town
Cons: Rooms a lilttle basic
7.9 Good
Pros: Location La Canourge. Restaurant served traditional French fare cheaply.

Pros: village location,
Cons: booked this property for the air-con. there was none?
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were lovely, very accommodating and helpful. The hotel was spotless and we had a lovely view of the river from our balcony, so relaxing. The breakfast was ample and tasty. The surrounding village was a real surprise. We will definately include that village and the same hotel on our next drive out to Spain. You don't notice what a gem of a village it is from our hotel but if you walk 1min from our hotel through the streets opposite, it's like 'little Venice'
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good bar and good food in the restaurant, quiet given it is on the road through town, easy to explore the quaint old town and town canals, all of which are situated adjacent to the hotel

Cons: There was an awful lot of flier which actually stopped us eating at the hotel in the evening, the tables were covered in black flies. Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hotel Le Calice du Gevaudan in Banassac, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Cévennes National Park and Golf des Gorges du Tarn. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location good. Friendly staff.
Cons: Not as clean as the first stay. Air con remote was missing!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The property is beautiful and is just next to the autoroute. If you are doing a road trip, it's a nice place for a quick stay. The family room was wonderful and very comfortable. There is ample space for parking and the hotel is surrounded by beautiful mountains. Also, the level of security at the hotel is very good.
Cons: Breakfast could have been better with some more variety. And reaching out to the hotel staff after the reception hours was very tough. At times you go to a hotel, instead of an apartment precisely to have security of available help. Also families that want to check-in please ask where your room is! There are no elevators and if you have very small kids still using prams and cribs, it might be tough for you.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We liked the proximity to the A75, the comfortable beds, the cleanliness and the friendly hotel staff. The peaceful night sleep is to be recmmended too
Cons: We felt the cost for the starter course was a little overpriced for what it was. The room was also a bit too warm overnight and would benefit from having the temperature lowered.
7.1 Good
Pros: Good location for an overnight stop down south. Gorge du Tarn is worth a visit.
Cons: Room was a bit dated. Missed the rush for breakfast- so we were left with crumps and coffee (our fault). One room smelled of cigarette smoke.
7.1 Good
Pros: Very clean.
Cons: Only found out 72 hours before our stay (email) that there would be no-one on reception and the restaurant was closed on Sunday..... The room entry code wasn't for room 9 as informed in their e-mail, but for room 10.
7.9 Good
Pros: Nice and clean ideal stop over spot Friendly staff, but alas restaurant was not open Breakfast not included but at €11 a head very little choice But superb coffee
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were very lucky that a considerate and thoughtful lady called us to ask what time we might arrive. We hadn't thought that we'd be so late and that check in may be closed. She kindly sent us codes to enter the hotel and our room. Easy peasy!

Pros: Good breakfasts.
Cons: Newly painted room which was a bit smelly.

Pros: Conveniently positioned just a few minutes from the A75 motorway and next to a river. Large car park which was useful as I was pulling a trailer. Restaurant very high quality but also expensive.
Cons: Room heating air blown and very noisy. Bed and pillows covered in plastic waterproof covering. Cost of menu and wine for one person with coffee was more than the cost of the room.

3.3 Mediocre
Pros: It felt like a prison cell. Requested a non smoking room. Smelt badly of smoke.
Cons: Too basic
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We were travelling through France through the recent blizzards terrible and our car broke down. I emailed to ask if we could postpone till the following day and I received a response within the hour....yes! When we finally arrived, it was a relief to find the hotel so close to the main road, the area had been cleared of snow and ice and the rooms were lovely and warm, as were the showers.
Cons: More soundproofing would have been nice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: all was perfect for my needs , reception lady was very helpful ,room was spotless
6.7 Good
Pros: Not a lot.
Cons: The name of the hotel says it all - Eco. Vastly overpriced breakfast for a second rate establishment.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: I didn’t like the property at all!!!
Cons: Just about everything! The outside was a disgrace to start with. It looked like the property had been abandoned years ago. The main door was insecure all night. The room was a disgrace. The wardrobe had no door on it. The heating didn’t work. The shampoo/soap dispenser was broken and empty. The bed was a grey sponge mattress. Hope it didn’t have bed bugs! This property should be condemned ! I paid €47 for a suite in a 4* hotel the night before and this was €47!!!’ I don’t think I will share any photos thank you. I don’t want to be reminded of it.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Cleanliness and warmth.
Cons: A charging point for electric vehicles would have made the visit even better.

Pros: From the outside the property looked very inviting and the scenery was beautiful
Cons: The property was very basic, the room was cold and there was no heating available. The room had a dedicated bathroom and toilet but it was a walk down the corridor The restaurant was closed even though they advertised being a hotel and restaurant The hostess did not seem very helpful when it came to offering information on alternative places to eat. She actually gave the impression that we were an inconvenience and that she would much rather be in Greece. Overall the hotel and the hostess did not meet the expectation that were being advertised.
