6.3 Good
Pros: The hotel had a lovely lobby and good reception staff. Parking was good, perfect location for us. I think it needs a financial injection to bring it up to a good level.
Cons: The rooms are tired, the shower head sprayed in different directions and there was dust. The Base of my bed was torn. Very limited refreshments in the room and no USB charging points. Breakfast was limited and not replenish when run out. Staff smiled but did not provide milk for all tables and didn't clear tables quickly. Looked like they needed more floor staff.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Close location to Scout Dike fishing club. Excellent SPA facilities and a lots of space for carpark. Good bar and good food in restaurant. Big function rooms and ideal for big venues and parties.
Cons: Bar staff don’t know how to make cocktails. I was surprised that they don’t know Pimp’s at all even I could see the bottle on shelves. That was so odd to me.

Break was supposed to be for rest and relaxation.was mentioned to reception wed eve but totally blanked in the morning .. I know singletons we usually get duff rooms but as my stay 4 nights was unhappy got dumped out back.. Priority over certain football team staying on the Monday night...

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were so helpful. My wife is 8months pregnant and was unable to sleep the first night, when she asked for extra blankets to help, they went and upgraded us to the executive room. It was an amazing room so spacious and a very comfy bed, it really made the rest of our break so much more special. Breakfast was perfect so much choice. The swimming pool was clean and full of thoughtful bits. Overall we had a fantastic break. Thankyou to all the staff.
7.9 Good
Pros: Staff at the front desk happy and made me feel very comfortable.
Cons: My bathroom still had another’s guest’s left over shower gel etc
5.0 Okay
Pros: Under normal circumstances this would have been a very nice hotel with a nice room and breakfast was good. But...…….
Cons: …......for the 2 nights we'd booked our stay there were weddings on both nights. Our room was on the first floor and directly above the function room. As a result the noise from the party during the evening was deafening and ear plugs were ineffective as the bass made the room vibrate. As we were not part of either wedding we felt it unfair not to have been informed by the hotel that there was a wedding party on both nights which went on until 1.00a.m. when we informed the reception staff of this all we received was a shrug. this is not the reaction I expected there was not even an apology or even any recompense for the inconvenience of two bad nights sleep.
7.1 Good
Pros: We got adjoining rooms that we wanted. We had a dog with us and had requested for something close to an exit. We were placed on the 2nd floor a few rooms away from the stairs. Didn’t cause much of a problem. Service, food, staff were excellent. Rooms were clean but could do with a little face lift. A lot of parking available. We used this as the base for our trip to Peak District. About an hour away from Bakewell
Cons: Pool isn’t open every day for kids which was a disappointment. The location was alright.

Pros: Place is lovely and well-kept, just ensure you get a room which is in a good location otherwise there can be lots of noise within the walls.
Cons: The walls are thin between the rooms and you can hear almost everything, this particular can spoil experience, especially when you request a quiet room in the first place.

Pros: Room was fine. I had requested a room with a shower cubicle. There was none available but they accommodated us by giving us a room which had a wet room. This was much appreciated.
Cons: Only one thing. Food for breakfast is kept warm under lights which makes the food dry out. It would be better if food was kept in covered dishes.
