Hotel Spalentor

Every things was exelent .staff are very polite and helpful .room are specious and very clean ..they have gotten basel card to guest

The staff were fantastic. They actually made the stay really good. They were very helpful especially towards my father. He need extra care and patience with this his wheelchair.

We were not on the same floor. Each room was on a different floor.

We booked a luxury room, very specious an comfortable king bed. Very clean, friendly staff, great location with 2 minutes walk to trams and buses. Walk through the “Spalentor” and you right in “Old Town” with lots of little shops and restaurants. Would book the hotel again if going to Basel

The location can't be beat! Easy access by bus, tram and mere minutes from main train station in Basel. They provide you a local travel card good for buses, trams and ferries plus discounted e-bicycle rental and other discounts for local attractions. The accommodations are stylish, well furnished and pleasing to the eye. Many small perks usually reserved for very high end properties but smartly planned and larger than most European hotels. The area is safe, scenic and at the entrance (Spalentor is the GATE of the medieval city) to Old Town, the Botanical center and within the university and medical centers

The breakfast was extensive for a small buffett, tasty but not fabulous. It is convenient so a decent value if with family or on limited time table. Although they did offer "to go" breakfast bags if traveling or touring before hours

Games room was fun, staff were very helpful with luggage storage, restaurant selection and hints on getting around Basel. Tram station very close by with free travel.

Bag left from previous stay already in room. Best breakfast. Awesome staff.
