Top 10 hotels in Benidorm

Discover the top hotels in Benidorm, hand-picked by local expert Lori Zaino.

Benidorm is a classic European destination known for its sandy beaches and lively nightlife. But it’s not just sand, sun and parties—Benidorm also has numerous hotels for every type of traveller, whether you’re celebrating a bachelorette party or on a family vacation. Some are located directly on the city's golden sands, while others have chic rooftop pools or sprawling gardens. Nearby, you can discover quiet fishing villages and hidden rocky coves or go full-out social at Benidorm’s restaurants, bars and long stretches of sandy coastline. After nearly two decades living in Spain and enjoying the best of the country’s Mediterranean shores, these are my top choices for the best hotels in Benidorm, from adults-only hotels and sleek high-rises to Spanish-style boutique haciendas and family-friendly resorts.

1.

Hotel Gold Arcos 4 Sup - Built in May 2022

Address:

Lepanto, 24 16 1

Price:

C$ 116-C$ 841/night

Just a few moments on foot from the famed Playa Levante, you can’t miss the colourful high-rise building that houses Hotel Gold Arcos. Rooms are simple yet comfortable with outdoor terraces, some of which feature sea views. Many of the higher-category guestrooms even have wraparound terraces with sun loungers.

One of the best hotels in Benidorm if you’re looking for chic pool vibes, Hotel Gold Arcos has a stunning, half-moon-shaped rooftop infinity pool. However, my preferred hangout is on the next level up of the roof deck, with a smaller hot tube-style pool and various lounge chairs that make catching some rays of sunshine possible, even in the cooler months.

Another hip hangout spot is the hotel bar, lined with pink velvet stools and green paneling, perfect for a cocktail before heading out to experience the infamous Benidorm nightlife

2.

Hotel La Cala Finestrat

Address:

Avinguda De La Marina Baixa, 10

Price:

C$ 128-C$ 409/night

One of the best hotels in Benidorm for beachcombers, Hotel La Cala Finestrat sits directly on the coastal sands, making it easy to wake up, throw on a swimsuit and head down to the sea.

Although the hotel has more affordable interior rooms, I suggest opting for a sea-view room, as you’re just a few feet away from the crashing swells of the Mediterranean. There’s really nothing like leaving the doors to your terrace open at night and falling asleep to the sound of the ocean waves. And if you want to visit the famous Playa Poniente in Benidorm, you’re just a 15-minute walk away.

Since I often travel to Benidorm with my family, I usually stay in one of the hotel's apartments, which have kitchens and gorgeous vistas of the entire Finestrat beach cove.

3.

The Level at Melia Villaitana

Address:

Avda. Alcalde Eduardo Zaplana, 7

Price:

C$ 509-C$ 897/night

The Level at Melia Villaitana is the luxury section of the regular Melia Villaitana, one of the best hotels in Benidorm for travellers who want an upscale Benidorm experience and don’t mind being slightly further away from the beach. Close to the Terra Mitica Amusement Park and the Aqua Natura Water Park, it’s also one of the best hotels in Benidorm for families travelling with children.

The resort grounds offer a tranquil ambiance that feels more like its own tiny Mediterranean village than a resort. Suites feature massive terraces that overlook the hills and the sea, as well as Rituals bath amenities. Still, my favourite part of the hotel is the lake-inspired swimming pool exclusively for the Level guests. I also appreciate that Level guests get preferential reservations at the property restaurants – I know I’ll have the best seat in the house overlooking the sea.

4.

Grand Luxor Villas Costa Blanca

Address:

Partida Del Moralet

Price:

C$ 140-C$ 529/night

Seeing the Egyptian tombs at Valley of the Kings has always been a bucket list item for me, but I get to do it right here in Spain at the Grand Luxor Village, a Spanish resort inspired by ancient Egyptian culture. While the regular rooms are modern and fresh, it’s worth selecting a villa to admire the hieroglyphics and Egyptian murals on the walls. You can appreciate the Egyptian carvings from your own private pool, too.

One of the best hotels in Benidorm for families, the Grand Luxor Village has plenty to do for the little ones, such as various pools, mini golf, a Kids' Club with an indoor playground and an arcade. I love spending time at the hotel chillout zone, where you can have drinks while admiring a Spanish sunset.

5.

Gastrohotel RH Canfali

Address:

Plaza San Jaime, 5

Price:

C$ 102-C$ 294/night

Built into a rocky outcrop that hangs over the sea, Gastrohotel RH Canfali is a short stroll away from the Balcony of the Mediterranean, a viewpoint that overlooks the foamy waves. It’s also near the golden sands of Playa Levante.

One of the best hotels in Benidorm for budget travellers, you can easily snag an affordable interior room. But, if you have a little extra cash, opt for a bright and airy sea view terrace room.

Romantic and sultry, this is one of the best hotels in Benidorm for couples – the rooftop coffee and cocktail bar is my preferred spot for an intimate cocktail, especially at sunset. There’s also a rooftop hot tub and a sun deck, too.

6.

Hotel Primavera Park

Address:

Calle Verano 15

Price:

C$ 110-C$ 522/night

Hotel Primavera Park is one of the best hotels in Benidorm if you prefer spending time poolside rather than on the beach. With a large, ground-floor swimming pool plus a rooftop chillout lounge with a sleek infinity pool boasting expansive views of the Mediterranean and beyond, you can choose which pool is the right fit for you.

When it comes to the guestrooms, I always prefer one of the Sunset Attic rooms, which have terraces that overlook the city of Benidorm and the sea, complete with a large, freestanding soaking tub and a rainfall shower. The all-glass lobby entrance is a stunning place to meet friends or have a quick coffee before heading to the pool.
