10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stunning setting - very peaceful and of high quality - in close proximity to hustle and bustle of busy beach life restaurants and shops. Good information provided by the owner of the property on places to visit in things to do.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: La Madrugada is a little oasis. We hadn't been to the region before and, to be honest booked because parking our car seemed easier than other places in town. But what a find. The owner, Pieter, could not have been more welcoming or friendly. He happily shared information on the area , especially over our very generous gin and tonics! The hotel was spotlessly clean and the view from the terrace is amazing. The pool was lovely and refreshing after a hot day touring the local towns. It was very busy, and a bit salty, in the beach towns but there was a lovely breeze up on the hillside. Breakfast was great each day and Pieter provided excellent restaraunt recommendations if you didn't want to eat in. ( we recommend Giro's tapas in Benissa...amazing and great value.). We'll be back to see you Pieter.
Cons: Nothing....Pieter was the perfect host and the hotel provide everything we needed for our short stay while on tour in the region.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Relaxed atmosphere, clean and spacious rooms.. Host, as usual, is welcoming
Cons: N/A
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It's a 5 star experience with lots of personal attention. At a really nice and quiet place. Perfect to unwind! In the hart of an area with lots of tourism but just far enough to enjoy the real Spanish vibes. We had an amazing time. Playing a little tennis in the morning on the private court, followed by a tasty breakfast with fresh products, ready for our activities of the day wherefore Peter gave us spot on advice and of course spent some time at the poolside enjoying that ASEM view. And above all we enjoyed Peter's hard work to make us and the other guests feel completly comfortable and at home. We will visit again!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was ideal. 10 minutes from Calpe and Benissa and a view to die for!
Cons: All spot on and comfortable with traditional furnishings and some modern bathroom/showers.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved this hotel everything was spot on, our room was beautiful with luxury you would expect from a 5* hotel , Our jacuzzi bath was a real treat and lovely fluffy towels and dressing gowns added to the relaxation . Although the weather wasn’t kind to us we did have a brief time to enjoy the pool area and the extremely comfortable sun loungers and I can’t think of a more relaxing way to while away a day or Two enjoying the views . Pieter is a very friendly host and nothing is to much trouble , all in all we very much enjoyed out time here and will hopefully return in the future. Thank you Pieter for looking after us .
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place is superb, a real little gem. The property itself is beautiful and it is obvious it was once a beautiful home, so staying there feels special. There are only 8 rooms so everything is peaceful and calm, perfect! The host has perfected his skills perfectly, he's there if you need/want anything and responds with pleasure whilst also allowing you space to feel uninterupted. The baths and beds are huge!
Cons: The weather, but we were just unlucky!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice view to Calpe. Beautiful garden. Nice pool area. Pieter is an excellent host!
Cons: Difficult to find the sideroad from main road. Should have a sign but we understand this is not accepted by the road authorities.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly, an excellent place to rest. Stunning views, spacious room. A very very pleasant stopover. We wanted to stay longer.
Cons: We have nothing to complain abut

Pros: The site
Cons: The road noise
7.9 Good
Pros: The Hostal is located on top of a bar where your breakfast is server, perfect. The village is an oase so close to the coastline with cities like Alicante and Benidorm, real Spanish with workingclass people around and not only tourism.
Cons: None
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice room where everything worked. Lovely staff. Lots of 'locals' bars and restaurants very close by.
Cons: Not much really. The room was quite small with no chair.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Rooms are comfortable and very clean. It is near bars and restaurants and a short walk away from Benissa’s old town. The young man on reception spoke some English.
Cons: There is no exclusive parking attached to the property, although I did not need any this visit. There is on street parking nearby but can be difficult to get a space. This visit the room was located at the front and I could hear some traffic noise but it was not a major problem.
7.9 Good
Pros: whilst the owners had tried very hard to make the room upmarket, lots of nice touches, echoing a boutique hotel, the room was very small indeed. The dog was made welcome and we were able to take him into the cafe whilst we ate our evening meal.
Cons: The biggest fault was the curtains were thin voiles, lovely, but we felt with the lights on in the room they offered no privacy, especially as our room looked onto the street. Also there was a security light outside our window lighting up the whole room. Thicker curtains over the voiles would have given a feeling of privacy and kept out the intense light. We slept very little due to this. We spent 30 minutes looking for somewhere to park. The streets are very congested.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Unbelievable cleanliness and comfort, whoever is in charge of maintaining the hotel truly takes pride in their work. Great value and excellent location (20 minute drive from the beach).
Cons: If there was someway to incorporate breakfast that would be nice.

Pros: Absolutely lovely people there. Couldn’t have been more helpful
Cons: Single duvet on a double bed was a little strange but it was only me staying there. Could have done with a kettle and cups for coffee in the room, etc. I ended up buying a kettle but it was cheap. It was lovely and quiet though. Nice place overall
7.9 Good
Pros: Very helpful staff. Nice continental breakfast. Enjoyed the pool and garden.
Cons: The whole place looked tired and needs some TLC.
7.5 Good
Pros: Beds are very comfy
Cons: No hot water for two days
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely guest rooms. We booked a little terraced apartment. Was absolutely gorgeous. Nice pool and grounds. Great for kids . Convenient and good restaurant and the staff are lovely and friendly.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The friendliness of owners although unprofessional
Cons: Disappointing. I would recommend the owners to attend a catering school. Many basic things are missing which is a pity considering the nice infrastructure and surroundings. Starting from the hammocks with no cushions and reeally uncomfortable, the grass full of prickles, the really tiny shower, the way the bed sheets are arranged, the dinning room decoration and lack of facilities, the quality of jam and cheese, the artificial orange juice (in Valencia!) the advanced payment, the publicity all around on some development near by... It is not prepared for a relaxing weekend.
9.6 Excellent
Cons: Hard to find with Sat Nav in the dark, they need so better signs
5.8 Okay
Pros: Great bed, friendly staff, nice pool
Cons: Bathroom very bad, although clean
5.8 Okay
Pros: The bread (brought from Germany, frozen) was good
Cons: You have to be a mountain goat to find the place. The staff were preoccupied with a large party and seemed to be unable to respond to our needs. They advertise a restaurant but it was closed so that they could take care of the other guests. Made us feel like second class guests.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All members of staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts and lunches were excellent. The pool was lovely. Our one minor problem was attended to quickly and most satisfactorily which is the sign of good management.
Cons: The staff was clearly at full stretch for much of the time, especially during functions for non residents. Additional staff would be good at peak times.
