Fletcher Hotel-Restaurant Erica - Berg En Dal - Building
1
6.9 Good (1,960 reviews)
C$ 101+
Overview Reviews

Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Overall personal working in Hotel Erica is very family friendly
Cons: I like the good service here, I don't have any other comments not like
7.5 Good
Pros: Lovely peaceful setting and good place to go for walks. Africa Musuem close by. Hearty breakfast available.
Cons: It was very comfortable and clean but old perhaps not as modern as presented in the photos. Location is good but own car would be recommended or at least access to a bike.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Very big rooms in nice woodsy location. Beds comfortable and clean. Heating and plumbing worked. Dining room with passable food, but expensive breakfast. I left one day early and they at least credited me with some of the cost.
Cons: A sign announced they were trying to eradicate bed bugs - honest anyway! The room was in a shocking state of repair - carpets in room and hallway stained and worn out, the furniture looked as if it had been 20 years in a school dorm: unfashionable and battered. The staff in the dining room not attentive or professional. Amazing this is a Fletcher hotel, but still they have let it run down like this!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location, very nice with pool and friendly staff.
Cons: Bit worn down, rooms are very spacious but also very dated.
6.3 Good
Pros: It will be good once they have finished renovations
Cons: Upon check in we were told emphatically that to pay for extra time a late checkout was not possible .. however the morning staff said it wasn’t a problem ☹️ rooms were cold no heating on and it’s front office controlled. Construction renovations start at 7.30 am not the best time if you arrive after 1 am I guess it’s the luck of the draw but staff who are accommodating really do make all the difference to the weary traveler.
6.0 Good
Pros: The room was nice and large Scrambled eggs and bacon and fresh croissants was very tasty.
Cons: Shower didn't work properly The wifi was slow and wouldn't work for certain applications.

7.9 Good
Pros: Staff friendly breakfast good
Cons: Breakfast room Long Line to get coffee and food same line to wait Move coffee machine on other table not close to food stuff
5.0 Okay
Pros: Good and beautiful location with nice views. Big and modern rooms
Cons: Overpriced, the beds were unconfortable and it was basically a thin mat over a bigger one. They kept moving during the night. Pillows where really uncomfortable
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was beautiful as were the very spacious, well decorated rooms, each with their own patio. There was a good selection at breakfast. As we were travelling with a guest in a wheelchair, we appreciated that everywhere was accessible - though why the lift was so slow when it barely had a few meters to travel was a mystery!
Cons: There were a few details that could be addressed to improve a guest's experience. There was no way to regulate the temperature in the room so in December we were too hot under the covers at night. Strangely too there was no bin for hygiene products in the bathroom. We also had a couple of problems with our room cards that had to be reset at reception.
7.0 Good
Pros: Amazing food, beautiful room and calming nature
Cons: There was no warm water at all, which made the bathroom mostly useless.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: + very nice location between greenary + Nice balcony view + Rooms were usually bigger than other properties I have stayed.
Cons: - bed were too soft - breakfast was okaish, had missing fresh juice option
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Extensive menu selection at breakfast of both buffet and hot food choices.
Cons: The waiting service at dinner was very slow although the meal was excellent.
7.5 Good
Pros: The environment was beautiful.
Cons: Room was very hot and no A-C. Mosquitos in the room.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the location is wonderful for long walks with the dog. The room that we were in with our dog was very spacious.
Cons: They are a Green Key Gold hotel, but we had to open the warm water taps for at least five minutes, before it got warm. We also left the towels on the racks as a sign that we wanted to keep using them - as requested on the note next to the towels - but they were changed anyway. Not what we expect - or want - from a Green Key hotel. Breakfast was okay, but not great. I expect a bit more from a four star hotel.
7.9 Good
Pros: Breakfast was good, especially fresh croissants, good quality coffee. We liked the spacious room with terrace and park view.
Cons: The pillows on beds are enormously big and you should sleep without them to get a proper sleep overnight. The elevator is the slowest I've ever seen in my life. If you are in a hurry, don't use it :)

Cons: Old dusty carpet everywhere
8.0 Excellent
Cons: swimming pool water is cold
6.0 Good
Pros: Parking
Cons: Beds were soft, small and compressed unevenly.. So one side felt uphill and the other down.
5.3 Okay
Pros: I was upgraded to one of the few renovated rooms because of a faulty tv. This room was very nicely decorated, expect ally the bathroom, the wifi worked well and there was a good choice for breakfast
Cons: The room I had initially been allocated was in need of renovation, dated decor mouldy bathroom etc. the problem with the new room was the temperature, as the upstairs neighbour turned on the heating the radiator pipes in my room were boiling hot. They were also making a lot of noise. And the duvet added further to the uncomfortable temperature, the material it was made of is more suitable for the arctic than for the. Netherlands
6.0 Good
Pros: Good location and friendly staff. Big room with enough rom to work and read.
Cons: It appears as if time had stopped in the 70's - colours and bathroom is dated. Mattress was far too soft for a good night sleep.

Pros: room was very comfortable and nice to stay with 3 adults although not a room especially for a physical disabled person ,the room is suitable breakfast excellent great view

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff very helpful Entire hotel immaculate presentation Excellent bar and restaurant
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful room, great view, comfy bed and nice design. Breakfast was next level!

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The whole package was excellent. A great place for relaxing and joy.
Cons: Niets
7.0 Good
Pros: Clean room and nice location, swimming pool inside/outside is nice.
Cons: We went for a weekend but the massages were all booked full. We were not able to get a bed near the swimming pool (people do the usual towel wars claiming spots).
8.3 Excellent
Pros: My first stay at Spa hotel and good experience. Check in was good and quick. The woman on desk made our introduction an easy one. Good access to the rooms. Only two elevators but across 3 floors meant there was minimum wait. Lots of food locations for hotel size. We used spa restaurant; Breeze (?) and breakfast. Both had great service from staff (excellent throughout) but a little pricey. Rooms were good size, clean and in working order although a little dated (and warm in the evening).
Cons: Food was high restaurant price but snack bar quality...staff and ambience was good, however. Room’s fine, working order but a little dated and very hot (stuffy) in the night (for sleeping). I think the hotel could be a little more overt about cost for bathrobes and flip flops. Aforesaid my first time at spa hotel, and I should know better, but €50 for family is high
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a great stay at Sanadome. The spa is so enjoyable and has a choice of two different restaurants there so you really don't need to leave for the whole day! The rooms are really comfortable and clean. The staff are very helpful at the front desk and in all of the restaurants.
Cons: The whole place could do with a bit of an upgrade, the outside of the hotel and the lobby area are old-fashioned. For the price of the hotel, spa, and all the extras, I would really expect the place to look nicer / more up to date. The food and water are really expensive so make sure you bring a bottle to refill at the water fountains provided.

Pros: The Staff are just really great people.
Cons: Honestly just a lovely place, room and bathroom were neat and tidy and outdoor area at rear a nice bonus. Manager Nick is one of the nicest people you could have looking after you, very engaging and a funny funny guy. A pleasure to have stayed here and the nicest people I have met in Holland.

Cons: For my needs nothing.

Pros: Bar guys very friendly :)
Cons: Car sounds outside to hight in the morning
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: staff was friendly and helpful and did what they could to make the best experience. However there is not much you can do about old run down facilities
Cons: Sheets snelled like cigarette smoke, the interior is horrible: red carpet with red curtains and fake wood closets. They gave me the room right next to the entrance (#20). The room was so noisy with people walking in and out that I asked at 1:30AM to change the room. The guy immediately did and I moved and was able to sleep in quiet. I wish I was there from the beginning of the night! It would have made it a better experience

Pros: Lots to like: full kitchen facilities including coffee and tea corner, good shower, roomy studio or apartment with separate bedroom, flexible helpful staff, indoor pool and fitness rooms, free parking, very nice surroundings and village shops and restaurants within a distance of 1 km.
Cons: Cleanliness could be approved notably the ovens (found greasy twice!) and the ceilings with cobwebs.

Pros: The apartment was much bigger than I was expecting, and the kitchen facilities were also far better. Was great that tea towels, dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid were all included.
Cons: There wasn't much soap in the bathroom dispenser, and the gentleman on reception when we first arrived - admittedly a little late although I had emailed ahead to say we would be late - was really quite rude and unhelpful.

Pros: Great breakfast!
Cons: The rooms are a bit tight.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room is small but Morden. Too service
Cons: The floor is probably clean but looks not so. And there is no sleeper so makes it a bit more difficult
7.1 Good
Pros: great location, very nice breakfast with excellent coffee. Beds were comfortable.
Cons: We had plastic Christmas trees with blinking lights right outside both windows that completely blocked our view. Probably looked nice from the outside but not when it's your room blocking all daylight and any view outside. The bathroom was practically in the room with no privacy at all. I've stayed in hundreds of hotels and I always get to review the final invoice. This time I didn't; there was just a rather curt remark that the invoice would be mailed to me. It wasn't.

Cons: One of he two wall outlets at my bed stopoed working after one day and the bed lamp at the other bed was broken down.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and welcoming! Foyer decor was very warm and creative. Rooms were simple but effective for anyone out exploring for most of their time, as you should be in such a beautiful city! Breakfast was delicious (those croissants!) and easy.
Cons: Coffee was a little cold at breakfast, but otherwsie excellent!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, quiet and calm room with an excellent shower. The hotel is in a really nice and beautiful area of the city. Staff is happy to help.
Cons: I would like to have a bit more vegan/gluten-free options for breakfast. But if I had asked for it, I think the staff would arranged it. The tv didn’t work and there was no soap in the soap dispenser. Also an improvement could me made by putting a kettle and tea glasses in the rooms and exchange the plastic cups in plastic bags for something less wasteful. These are just little changes that would move my rating from a 3 out of 5 to a 5 out of 5.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location ,close to the river. Nice ,tidy room. Really helpful staff. Breakfast was tasty and fresh although there were no vegetables.

Cons: Hotel seems to be secondary to the restaurant business. Red stains on the shower curtain.

Pros:
Cons: no elevator
3.6 Mediocre
Pros: Actually, the internet was available in my room, other othels try to exploit fees for connecting to the internet, so it was a great plus
Cons: Well, having stayed in other hotels in holland, I think it's average, I mean in other countries you can get much more for the same price, in general the hotel did not look very new, also, I don't like floor carpet, but it's very common
6.8 Good
Pros: The relaxed friendly atmosphere. Also, the proximity to other locations being close made it a wonderful place to bicycle to and from.
Cons: The night staff was a bit less informed about how to route calls to the rooms. The internet access was too week from my room and I had to do all internet access from the lobby.
5.6 Okay
Pros: Good location 2 miles from Niemegen centre and on routes out/around city. Didn't use restaurant-but nobody seemed to anyway. Poor marketing of a very nice looking hotel.
Cons: Toilet/washbasin space too small for comfort. Antiquated toilet flush system which smelled badly when flushed.
6.4 Good
Pros: location, price
Cons:

Pros: The dinner at Manna was excellent. And the breakfast at Hotel Blue was also very good. The staff were very helpful and courteous.

Pros: Such a cozy place (with great beds!) in a fabulous location. The staff were lovely and the restaurant is wonderful.
Cons: The only thing (which is small and personal) was that I was on the top floor and whilst the room was gorgeous, I have a heart condition so the many stairs were a bit much :)

7.9 Good
Pros: Staff friendly breakfast good
Cons: Breakfast room Long Line to get coffee and food same line to wait Move coffee machine on other table not close to food stuff
