9.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is very traditional Swiss style in a old and unique way. Never seen anything similar like that in Switzerland or all over the world. The breakfast buffet was very tasty and I slept like in heaven. Only a little bit sad that there was no sauna or/and steam bath. I think the owner of the hotel should think about that to build this in the near future. A lot of people like me loves to go a spa and it is good for everyone's health.
Cons: See above. That's all.

7.5 Good
Pros: Location in the middle of Filisur. The breakfast was very nice and the staff too. The hotel has a certain charm. The facilities were new.
Cons: The room was small for 4 people. The toilets only closed with a curtain, no doors.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Filisur was a key (central) location considering the train routes planned, sites to see and the feel of a small village. The hotel decor is simple, but provided a very comfortable stay, specially nice and warm at night! Walking down from the train station to hotel could be a problem if too much snow has fallen, but we managed ok. We would recommend taking the road, it may be longer, but safer! The town was surprisingly beautiful, this was an unexpected good surprise. The main street has a number of massive old homes and farm houses, impressively well kept and beautifully decorated. We loved the walks at night and day along the main road, where folks kept lanterns and candles during the night, what a great tradition! We woke up to the sounds of cow bells from the farm down the hill, this along the sunrise was magical!
Cons: Walk to hotel can be difficult during the winter months.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a really nice place to stay!! Great location for relaxing, for train enthusiasts as well as nature lovers and hikers. Very comfortable and very clean rooms. The breakfast is delicious with local specialties. And last but not least, Peter, the Owner is a wonderful gentleman who gave us great directions and tips and made us feel very welcome. Our plan was to stay for one night, but we liked it so much that we stayed for three nights! We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again if we are in this area
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Filisur is a charming village. It is quite close to several famous resort towns such as St Moritz, Davos and Chur. The hotel room was spacious and very comfortable. The balcony was a treat on which to sit and look across the valley to the mountains.

Cons: There is always something that could be better - but there is nothing to single out here.

Pros: Nice sauna and jacuzzi, but cleaning in the showers could be better. Great views! Great breakfast. Billard table.
Cons: Cleanliness in spa showers
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The host was very friendly and always there
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice hotel located at the foot of Julierpass. Very friendly personnell. Despite being popular by bus tours, they took care of us very well and made us feel at home. Food was served quickly despite the large travel group. Rooms clean and great view from the balcony. Spa and sauna area is phantastic and free of charge.
Cons: There could be more regional Bündner dishes as there is only one on the menue. According to the owner the bus tours dont appreciate local food but we would have! And very awkward: you can look from the parking lot directly into the sauna/ spa area which is surprising for both the people in the spa and the people looking at you...
4.2 Okay
Pros: The girl from the reception was nice and helpful.
Cons: We didn’t get the same accommodation/ treatment from the male host compared to how he accommodated the European guests. I felt unwelcomed and discriminated. The hotel has good reviews based on the European guest’s feedback. Unfriendly host.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Right on the railway platform, this couldn't be handier if you are traveling by train and it's also a perfect spot for the trainspotter to walk to the landwasser viaduct, explore the various RhB lines, look at the pictures on the walls and read the magazines! Despite this there is no train noise - they don't run overnight and also no road noise. Great views out over Filisur town, the mountains and the valley. Staff were wonderful. The food and wine in the attached restaurant below was fantastic (really, really, really good). Great breakfast too. Excellent wifi if you need it.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The host is very friendly, we have returned to this property on several occasions. The food in the evening is excellent. The location is excellent, especially if you want to travel the area by train. Can highly recommend it. Lovely location and very quiet and relaxing.
Cons: Nothing springs to mind!
4.6 Okay

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very cozy and friendly small hotel right at train station, only 50m away. Can watch trains pass right outside hotel while guests having breakfast and dinner. Yet, not noisy at all. A train fan hotel that you can simply walk to view points of viaducts nearby. Delicious dinner every night of stay. Situated at a small and old village. A bit remote at first but has train to come hourly. Still convenient

Hotel Restaurant Rätia - Filisur - Bedroom
13
8.4 Excellent (250 reviews)
C$ 112+
Overview Reviews
Located in Filisur, Hotel Rätia is a 4-minute drive from Alvaneu Bad Golf Club and 5 minutes from Landwasser Viaduct. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
7.0 Good
Pros: Simpel but sufficient room, good location to discover the area like the Landwasser Viadukt or Lake Palpuogna. Breakfast was very nice, staff is friendly as well
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Service, staff, location, food and room all excellent.
Cons: Very basic slatted bed. Was worried it would break (iam a large person). No english speaking channels in tv.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: From the positive I can note: good Wi Fi and good weather))) If you need a hotel from the middle ages - you are here: the hotel is equipped with old furniture made from scrap materials, decorated with children's drawings and dusty crafts made of flitch, chests and artifacts like spinning wheel and muddy mirror. There is a smell of old things and kitchen. The steep staircase to the 3rd floor is a good opportunity to check the weight of your suitcase.
Cons: Völlige Enttäuschung! I didn't like it and I don't recommend staying here: This hotel does not have: electronic room keys, no sockets for chargers and gadgets, toiletries (only toilet paper and liquid hand soap), a standard set of water or at least glasses, no mini-refrigerator and hair dryer, no ventilation and air conditioning, no safe. This hotel has: a microscopic semblance of a bathroom without a washbowl in it, uncomfortable lighting with incandescent lamps, a heating battery that does not heat (only the first two sections) so I had to turn on a dirty heater, old homemade furnishings made of plywood without door handles, washed old bed linen (bed sheet with a hole))) and old thin towels of an unfriendly color, small empty pillows with lumps, the room is very cold. Breakfast is very modest-coffee, tea, a plate of two types of sausage and a few slices of cheese, bread, butter, jam, a glass of yogurt per person is always only pineapple and nut (and I love peach and strawberry))) strange serving of Breakfast - the first morning everything was in the usual amount (coffee in the coffee pot), on the second morning two slices of sausage were served for two persons, I had to ask for two more slices of sausage and a Cup of coffee (but I never got it).. So for 140 francs a night and Breakfast in Switzerland, we were used to a different service and were very surprised: how did "booking" certify this hotel? With all due respect to tradition the owners must replace engineering, update furniture and textiles, include in the Breakfast at least porridge, eggs, dairy products, fruit.. There is no hall in the hotel-there is no place to put suitcases, our check out was at 6 am and I was persistently offered to pay for my stay at night (!), in the end we almost missed the train, since the hotel was locked from the inside, we had a hard time finding the key in some section, we had to leave the door open-what do you call it?
8.8 Excellent
Pros: As ever, a very friendly place to stay for a peaceful little break and within a short walk of the Rhätische Bahn railway. I can really recommend the Malanser Pinot Noir red wine, which is one of the best of its kind.
Cons: Nothing. All good.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very close to station, great view, staff fast, friendly and efficient.
Cons: Not so much didn’t like as a bit cramped in the bathroom if you’re a tall person. But it was clean and plenty of hot water.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hostess was very nice and helped me with what I wanted. I had a hurted toe and had problems walking and taking care of my luggage up the stairs and the long walk uphill to the train station. The hostess helped me with some cream for the toe, her son helped me up the stairs with my luggage, and the owner drove me to the train station when I was leaving. Very appreciated. I also after more than a week of traveling in Switzerland appreciated real good thai food at the side from the suiss food:)
Cons: I did not understand how far the uphill walk to the train station was. Maybe normally not a problem, but with problems walking it was a looong walk. i always prefer a breakfast buffe instead of serving at the table, so I can eat what I prefer.
