Cons: miss fresh breads in the morning.
Pros: Great spa facilities and fantastic location
Cons: Noisy plumbing
Cons: turn-based shuttle service,reception .
Pros: Stunning location, stylish rooms, really good choice for breakfast. Shuttle minibus into St Cirq Lapopie is very handy.
Cons: It would have been good to be able to get a simple light lunch onsite on those days when we wanted to linger by the pool.
Pros: The shower.
Cons: The owner/manager was incredibly rude and abrupt. Not only to us but to another British couple too. If you are English speaking give this property a wide birth.
Pros: Fabulous location, lovely room. Good to catch the shuttle bus up to saint cirq lapopie for dinner. Highly recommended!
Cons: Would have liked tea and coffee making facilities in the room, otherwise delightful
Pros: We booked a room with a patio with a view across rows of vines to Saint Cirq Lapopie. It was amazing! We spent two magical evenings looking at the view and after dark, star gazing. The whole experience surpassed our expectations.

Pros: Excellent buffet breakfast, friendly staff & very clean.
Cons: Nothing to say
Pros: Value for money. Good for 1 night.
Cons: Loud zooming from the fusebox. No smoke detector in the room. No compensation for a horrible night sleep.
Pros: Close to the pilgrim routes and Saint Cirq, pool and clothes washing facilities. Super-friendly staff who helped book onward travel, find restaurants etc. Very nice breakfast with Greek yoghurt, pancakes and French toast and maple syrup.
Cons: Shame there was no restaurant for an evening meal or possibility of half board but the lovely lady on reception made nice toasted baguettes.
Pros: This place really was so much better then I expected (and I already expected a lot). Very friendly staff, good breakfast, good location (near everything, beautiful surrounding). The pool was amazing with a nice view on a small mountain. We had a room directly at the pool which was really handy with the small children. I really recommend this hotel ! It was quiet but with a lot of stuff to do around. I would definitely go here again !
Cons: No airco, but they kept it cool with some ventilations machines.
Pros: Swimming pool, breakfast and location
Cons: Lack of air conditioning, very hot night.
Pros: Beautiful location right across the bridge from the town. Nice pool. Easy parking. Decent wifi.
Cons: Very hot and stuffy room with no air con or windows. Plastic-feeling mattress which didn’t help. Not a very hospitable atmosphere or attitude from the staff.
Pros: The beds were very comfortable with lovely linen. The shower was good & easy to use. The staff were very friendly & the breakfast offered plenty of choice. Although there was no restaurant for dinner - there was an excellent bistro round the corner & the hotel booked us a table.
Pros: The place, the friendly staff, the room.
Cons: No lift ( but there is only 2 floors). No restaurant .
Cons: Not making full use of the hotel's potential.
Pros: Ample space for parking and very helpful staff who assisted us with our luggage and showed us the room. Also, information was given with directions to nearby sights. Reception was very warm and welcoming.
We welcome you in our old farmhouse renovated Quercy, just 2 km 500 m from the medieval village of Saint Cirq (elected favorite French village in 2012), in 5 guest rooms and 1 bed apartments, all completely independent with private bathrooms and individual terraces. A lounge, a dining room and a kitchen (fitted), are available for breakfast but also for you to be completely independent if you want to prepare your meals. Our pool is waiting to refresh you after your long days of ballad and discovery. For us the key words are: simplicity and usability but also peace and privacy, the best mix for a successful holiday.
Pros: the accommodation was good value for money, and self contained so very private, everything you needed.
Cons: but it the sleeping area was rather cramped, and overall it felt too cluttered and small , but then we were only staying one night. I would not have liked to stay longer. Good for overnight stop.
Pros: It was cosy and a bit out of the ordinary.
Pros: Very clean and comfortable. A quiet and picturesque place to stay and very reasonably priced.
Pros: The location was excellent, the facilities were very good for families
Pros: Such a quiet village but well placed for all our exploring. The breakfast was breads and jams so if you like something a little more substantial perhaps buy supplies. We cooked our own scrambled eggs. However, the gite we stayed in was amazing. Fabulous bathroom, very well equipped kitchen and so quiet. Grass to curl our toes in, outside seating and vibe that's a good few notches down from our usual daily routines! The dining room is such a treat. Old artefacts everywhere you look taking on different uses than were intended. We would definitely go back, it was very lovely.
Cons: A more varied breakfast with some meats and cheeses to accompany the bread at breakfast. There is the most wonderful local goats cheese that we would have loved with our bread :)
Pros: The property is situated in a calm place so you wouldn't experience disturbing noise at night.
Cons: The air in our room was very stuffy with an earthy smell and we were not allowed to open the window during the day to avoid insects getting inside. There was, in fact, a number of those things including some bug and a spider (see photos) The breakfast was disappointing - no eggs or cheese, only different kinds of bread, cereals and jam - a killing blow of carbohydrates. The hosts English communication skills are quite poor. The card terminal at the property didn't work so we had to pay in cash. Despite the fact, the card payment was specified as possible at booking.com
Pros: Nicely decorated room with comfy beds! It had a nice yard with outdoor seating too and lots of space. The host was very nice and there was a great breakfast buffet. :)
Pros: quiet area. decoration of the room. close to Saint Cirq. big room. breakfast ok.
Cons: bed is a bit soft. my girlfriend loved that but for me it was a bit too soft.
Pros: Superb location. New owners: very friendly !
Located in Saint-Cirq-Lapopie, Hotel du Causse is in a rural location, within a 15-minute drive of Chemin de Halage and Chateau de Cenevieres. Featured amenities include multilingual staff and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The hosts are excellent, very interesting couple. Wish them great success.
Pros: The new owners are doing a great job working to improve this Hotel. They have only been there for a few weeks and seem to have good plans to make this Hotel a better place to stay.
Cons: The rooms are very basic with very little sound proofing so you could hear a lot of external noises from outside and adjacent rooms. The toilet was extremely small.
Pros: Nice garden and free activities. Very quiet place only 2 km to Saint Cirq.
Cons: Room was a bit chilly without the possibility to warm it up.
Pros: The owners are very friendly and hospitable. Loved the location.
Cons: I was on the ground floor near the front door to the hotel. The walls are very thin and I could hear noises from all directions. I could hear everything above me. I would recommend maybe requesting a room upstairs. I would also recommend maybe a fan in the room for noise as well as air flow.
Pros: Clean, friendly and helpful owner. Nice rooms, rural setting. Would recommend it for families. Kid play area outside and pool available outside.
Cons: Finner Food could be improved. Breakfast was very good.
Pros: Fantastic facilities especially for children in the garden, with a trampoline, climbing frame, football goals and a pool. Our hosts were very welcoming and highly attentive to our needs, with plenty of advice for things to do in the area. Breakfast had a lot of choices and diner in the evening was very good value for the season and locality. We’d certainly stay here again if we were visiting the region again.
Cons: Nothing to fault with the property or service.
Pros: Very friendly hosts who couldn’t do enough for us Excellent breakfast spread.
Located in Bouzies, Hôtel Les Falaises is a 2-minute drive from Chemin de Halage and 6 minutes from Château de Cabrerets. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Close to St-Cirq-Lapopie. Nice pool and river access. Free parking. Good restaurant.
Cons: Bell tower bell too early and noisy
Pros: Staff and restaurant
Cons: Room, damp smell and very dated. Wi fi didn’t work in the room.
Pros: The location is fantastic with excellent views from the hotel and access to great attractions within a reasonable distance. (However, if you wish to visit the caves at Grotte du Pech Merle consider booking in advance because when we arrived they were fully booked for two days.) The restaurant served good food and the staff were very friendly. The pool is excellent and the poolside bar very handy with incredibly friendly staff.
Cons: The weather was very hot and the fans provided did not cool the rooms sufficiently and sleeping was very difficult. Also, although I accept it was difficult for the hotel to control ,the number of flies in the restaurant made eating unpleasant - I was very much put off my evening meal when I found a fly had landed in my sauce and was trying to crawl under my confit duck! Perhaps they could consider some prevention measures? We asked for rooms with level access due to mobility issues which the hotel agreed to but all our rooms had stairs (not many but still difficult for someone using crutches to walk up/down) so not suitable. There were a considerable number of stairs to the restaurant.
Pros: Riverside gorge location in tiny hamlet, a top tourist hotspot. Some staff were pleasant and helpful.
Cons: Bedroom was nicely presented, but very small. It is a large hotel with rooms located in a range of separate buildings, ours was across the road from the hotel. The stated hotel features/facilities were definitely an exaggeration on reality for our September visit; presumably defined as out of main season. Daytime staff on duty were few and hard to find. Enquiries in English were met with a dismissive wave. An attempt in broken French was ignored. Restaurant bill unreasonably high, presumably wrong, but not itemised so unable to reconcile. Initially charged for meals not taken, but once pointed out corrected.
Pros: The restaurant was exceptional. Probably the best we have ever been to. The fish my husband had was lovely and my lamb was exceptional.
Pros: Wonderful location on River adjacent to tow path 4 km beautiful walk to Saint-Cirq. Room and bed and bathroom were all excellent. Restaurant has large variety of delicious food. Breakfast is substantial and very good. Front desk and food service were truly outstanding.
Pros: Private car park. Indian student staff charming.
Cons: Hotel seemed to be running down preparing to close for the season. Wifi cannot be used in bedrooms, reception area only. Menu needs to give consideration for vegetarian. Breakfast unimaginative. Senior management need to take responsibility for the issues arising from my negative comments; the staff on site were fine.
Cons: Every thing besides location. The staff were particularly rude and couldn't care less if they tried.
Pros: a really nice location in a river gorge/next to a river in a tiny village; possibility to swim in a small pool overlooking the gorge, comfortable rooms
