Pros: Second visit, this time for a week! A fantastic place to explore the area and/or relax. Michele and Jacques were superb hosts. Michele was a great help in deciding where we could visit, so we could discover even more hidden gems in the area. Who doesn’t love to be welcomed by a great cup of tea!
Pros: Château Larroze is a stunning property surrounded by vineyards and well positioned for visiting many nearby towns of historical interest and the lovely city of Albi. Our room was opulent and could have easily featured in any top quality Homes & Interiors magazine. The grounds and the lovely swimming pool, overlooking the neighbouring vineyards, were the perfect place to relax. Michèle and Jacques were generous and hospitable hosts. They went out of their way to ensure that our stay was a memorable one. Breakfast each morning, served by the pool, was an elegant affair with Michèle’s delicious homemade preserves and other treats. We loved our 3 nights at Château Larroze and wished we could have stayed longer! Thank you so much Michèle and Jacques.
Cons: We loved everything!
Pros: Jacques and Michele were perfect hosts and the property was absolutely lovely. Wonderful pool with beautiful views, plenty of suggestions for things to see and do in the surrounding area and fantastic restaurant suggestions. Could not fault it!
Pros: Brilliant hosts
Pros: Surrounded by beautiful vineyards and countryside. Owners Jacque and Michelle,as everyone else has said, are great hosts. Has only 2 rooms so very private, tranquil and relaxing. We will be back!
Cons: Nothing, it was perfect
Pros: Wonderful old house with a great view. Clean room, comfortable extra large bed.....piece of history with contemporary taste. The owners are very kind, stylish and helpful people.
Pros: Absolutely everything about our stay was fabulous. Michele and Jacques were charming, friendly and attentive hosts, the room was spacious and delightfully presented, the whole property is very well cared for and beautifully located amongst fields of vines, and overall attention to detail was impressive. Breakfast, served by the pool, was delicious. Our stay at Chateau Larroze was a highlight of our trip to France.
Pros: Superb in every way. A truly delightful stay , attention to detail outstanding.
Cons: Could not be improved.
Pros: Very friendly hosts, beautiful room and location.

Pros: The hosts were really welcoming and we enjoyed hearing about the renovations of the property .The rooms were decorated in a French style with vintage bed linen .The hosts provided a lovely breakfast with home made name and yogurt .
Pros: Unique experience and a wonderful old chateaux with fantastic features. The owners were so nice and helpful. A special place.
Cons: It wad perfect.
Pros: Everything! Fantastic, renovated winery/chateau in the French countryside. Owners were so accommodating...they do not serve dinner, but because we walked in and were without transport to a restaurant for dinner, they kindly provided us with a perfect picnic dinner in the medieval dining hall. A wonderful experience!
Pros: Beautifully restored, welcoming and friendly and very comfortable.
Pros: Beautiful accommodation in a wonderful setting. We had a very comfortable room with great views. Hosts were very helpful and friendly. They provided an excellent breakfast.
Pros: The historical building so carefully restored with attached vineyard where you can try and buy the wines.
Cons: Nothing - all was lovely.
Pros: Château de Mayragues is set in a very quiet, rural location. although you can walk to the nearest village across the picturesque countryside, which takes about 30minutes. The Château has been lovingly restored by its owners. Our bedroom was very tastefully decorated with lovely french linen bedding and a very comfy bed, we slept extremely well. We were given a warm welcome and looked after very well during our 2 day visit. We were given detailed information about the area, tips on walks and places to eat, including a very good Michelin star restaurant. The breakfast was delicious, typically french and served in a stunning dining room. The Chateau has its own vineyard and the wine is produced in the grounds, we were treated to a fascinating tour and wine tasting experience. Château de Mayragues is such a unique and wonderful place, not to be missed.

Pros: Very easy to find. Absolutely fantastic host, very approachable and welcoming. Dominique spoke excellent English and took an active interest in his guests. The breakfast was good and it was nice to try the local jams. Great value for money and loved the character of the pigieonnaire!
Cons: The toilet feeling a bit open and not 'sound proof'!!!
Pros: Good location, very close to Castelnau-de-Montmiral and convenient for visiting other small towns in the area or Albi. The dinner they served was excellent. The hosts were very nice and spoke good English. The setting is beautiful. Our room (the bread oven) was comfortable and full of character.
Pros: The people were very friendly and the food was very tasty
Cons: A shelter would be handy for when it rains so you can still sit outside
Located in Cahuzac-sur-Vere, Chateau de Salettes is in a rural location, a 4-minute drive from inVINcible VIGNEron Museum and 9 minutes from Gaillac Miniature Trains. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Amazing value Spacious and very private Spa The bar was opened until late
Cons: All great
Pros: The views were stunning and the whole experience was very romantic.
Cons: The charge to use the Jacuzzi and Sauna at 40 euro each was unrealistic.
Pros: Lovely location. Superb staff. Lovely alfresco restaurant. Air conditioning very good.
Cons: Bedrooms lacked certain items of furniture ie bathroom chairs/stools and clothes hooks too high. Bedrooms lacked bedside tables and mattress was at least 6" too narrow for a very wide bed.
Pros: Amazing country location. Quiet
Cons: Not much
Pros: Nice scenery, large room. Friendly staff, we got early check in.
Cons: Impossible to have a shower without splashing the whole bathroom with water since there was no curtain etc. bathtub was cracked. Ants and dead spiders in the room. Mattress is overused and very hard.
Pros: Helpful staff
Cons: Dead insects behind glass in bathroom not very nice Main room very dark Lack of taxis from station and difficult to get to if you dont have a car
Pros: Setting, rooms, staff, food and wine - superb
Pros: The staff were absolutely lovely! The views were stunning. The tasting menus and wine tasting were outstanding!
Cons: The breakfast should have been included in the price or be a higher standard. 19 euros was too expensive for what we got (e.g. we could have had freshly cooked warm croissant; hot bacon, tomatoes, avocado or mushrooms; proper coffee rather than from a machine)
Pros: View from the rooms and the pool is outstanding and you truly feel like a chatelain living in a nice castle
Cons: Hotel’s Restaurant prices are very high and it’s unlikely will want to have dinner at the restaurant every day (food is great but i would say value for money could be improved given prices are very high). But hopefully there are nice and cheap restaurants a few kilometers away from the hotel.
Pros: Swimming pool and facilities OK
Cons: Value for money is very poor. In the restaurant, the cocker wants to do his best but no special products. Prices are almost the same as a Michelin star restaurant but the taste is far from it. Except the local wine, everything was overpriced. The spa is accessible only upon reservation, it would be great to let the clients know upfront. Furniture of the room a bit outdated. Big deception even though it has a big potential.
