Hipotels Hipocampo - Adults Only

Staff was very nice. Rooms were very clean and the Hotel is located on the beach. We liked also Flamenco night.

Unfortunately we didn’t like many things. After very nice welcome at the reception desk we get very good first impression about the hotel. Altough we didn’t get the room we booked with partial see view and they gived us superior room at the 1st floor, where we have had a see view only when we were near the balcony fance, we didin’t complain. It was time for dinner and head of restaurant told to my husbund about dress code for a dinner. That he needs to wear a long trousers. We felt very uncomfortable weil other guests were staring at us. We felt a little better when we sow that more guests have arrived in shorts for the first time too. My husband was allowed to eat a dinner in a shorts that evening but not also the next day. The worst thing was that my husbund didn’t took any long trousers with him. After dinner we needed to spent our first night in Cala Millor buying a trousers for my husband. And it was not so easy to find a fitting long trousers in a middle of summer + that caused us an extra costs. So the first evening was total ruined because of a dress code for mens. The hotel is trying to make a fake gala atmospfere. For that you should also have a gala gusts and offer a gala dinner every day, not just once a week! Comparing how were people dressed at breakfast can I say that there were normal and defenitely not gala guests. And the ladys were in so short shorts or dresses and that was totally unappropriate. Food was tasty. Breakfast was every day the same and so was the dinner too. For main course was always offered the same: grilled fish or meat (different types every evening). To many of other see food was offered. The last day we leaved hotel very early and there was a buffet prepared for those who are coming late or leaving eary. The buffet was very disapointing. It doesn’t need to be much bit at least something fresh and we could eat. There was an old bread, salami and cheese (we had a luck to get some piece).
