10.0 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful house in a beautiful location. Hospitality was outstanding with homemade bread, cakes etc. The freshly made bread in mornings and fresh cakes in the afternoon left in our room were great little touches that made us feel welcome. Lovely homely touches of paintings of the area, and lots of choice on breakfast. The hosts were on hand to help with any little thing and were very sweet and talkative. It was a delight to stay here. The area is fab if you're a Walker, not so much if you struggle with hills. There are some great walks around the area for experienced and not so. The house is kept in a wonderfull condition with soft colours and very natural surroundings in keeping with the houses age and nature around area. Overall a lovely stay.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We received a lovely warm welcome and stayed in a beautiful comfortable room. The farmhouse is set in a lovely location with great views and a short drive to Boscastle. Fabulous breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Host was extremely welcoming with a pot of tea and tea cakes for us to have sat on the patio in the sunshine. The bedroom is lovely with a huge comfy bed! Breakfast was very tasty. Overall we had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay here and hope to be back.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful beautifully decorated farmhouse (although I would say "farmhouse" as it is a magnificent. It is however on a working farm so therefore qualifies! The setting is quiet and gorgeous.), VERY comfortable room (great bed) and very tasty breakfast. Liz was very friendly and had great advice about things to do. The walks along this section of the coast are a real treat.
Cons: The shower could be stronger (but that's a pretty minor issue)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My wife and I had a two night Easter break in this wonderful, historic house in a lovely, peaceful location close to the spectacular north Cornwall coast. Reddivallen provided everything we could have possibly wished for, and more. We stayed in a luxurious, quiet and very comfortable en suite bedroom, with everything being spotlessly clean. (We loved the bowl of mini Easter eggs thoughtfully provided in our room!) We had a wonderful breakfast to start each day and our hosts were very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Perfect! We only wished we could have stayed longer.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent rooms , clean and tidy with all the trimmings. Unbelievable breakfasts, to cater for all.Hosts were such a delight to meet and above all made our stay so welcoming.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Such a large room, with a comfortable large bed. Liz the owner was magnificent, friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was wonderful. Meg the puppy was an added bonus.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was exceptional and Liz is very personable and a super hostess, very informative of the local area. The bed was also very comfortable and the room beautifully finished, its a working farmhouse but has a nice homely but contemporary feel. The room was spotless and the linens crisp and clean. Location was very central for getting to lots of the areas we were interested in visiting. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and look forward to returning.
Cons: Nothing major, the WIFI was very slow but was expected due to the location and the thickness of the walls of the farmhouse (its very old and has thick walls) so I would advise anyone staying to do your homework for visiting areas etc before you go as it was a little frustrating not being able to access the WIFI to do any research before heading out each day. (our fault for not doing the above!) Also another small niggle was the pressure for the shower, it was very low although Liz did mention this was going to be updated in the future. Having said that, neither is a big issue and it certainly wouldn't prevent us from staying here again in the future.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazingly comfortable bed, very clean throughout and superb freshly cooked breakfast.
Cons: Shower a little weak, but very minor issue.

Pros: Our second visit, soon to be repeated, to The Old Rectory, a beautiful country house in a beautiful and peaceful location with stunning gardens including a pretty walled garden. Apart from its stunning appearance, the property is spacious and homely, an extremely comfortable bed and a lovely touch with freshly picked flowers from their garden in the room await. The owners are very friendly and accommodating; the house enjoying fantastic views and countryside walks just the other side of the garden gate. In the morning there was a very nice breakfast with fresh eggs and tasty fruits from the property’s country garden. 2 lovely Golden Retrievers make you feel almost like one of the family, extremely well behaved and friendly.
Cons: Nothing remotely to dislike here

Pros: We loved the place and we felt very welcome. We loved all the stories about Thomas Hardy and his beloved Emma and the stories about Sally’s grandfather. The place has so much charm and feels like going back in time and we really enjoyed our stay. The garden was very pretty and there was a lovely spot to enjoy the sunset but sadly for us it rained. We can recommend the place with all our hearts.

Pros: Breakfast was excellent. The people who ran the Old Coach House were both friendly and helpful suggesting walks for us and places to eat. There was even a traditional Cornish afternoon Tea and scones with jam and Cornish cream for us when we arrived.
Cons: The room was a little bit small but rather that than no on suite, probably the reason the room was small, we had a brilliant view from our bedroom window.

Pros: All perfect, very clean and pleasant decor
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I came across Boscastle completely by off chance, when I booked this accommodation last minute. The location fit perfectly into my travel itinerary to visit Tintagel Castle. The room itself is clean, with a comfortable bed (6x shared female room, no bunk beds, just single standard, comfy beds) and all the necessities needed and beyond. The bathrooms, kitchen and the lounge rooms were all neat, tidy, clean and well equipped. I fall in love with the village and its quaint, wonderful atmosphere and ended up extending my stay. A shop, restaurant, post office are all in walking distance and parking is free in the large car parking about 5 minutes walk away between 17.00-10.00. Superb walking paths, a few local shops, farms, cafés with delicious treats and museums also nearby. You can not beat the reasonable price of this hostel in the area and the value it offers for it is absolutely fantastic.
Cons: Nothing that is the hostels fault. The wooden window frame has expanded due to the weather and I did not manage to close it. Everything else was perfect. Thank you!

Pros: It was lovely to be by the water and quiet too. The staff member was friendly and very helpful, showing me around and explaining what happens (first stay in YHA). I was sharing a room with 4 other ladies who were all friendly. Very clean and tidy.
Cons: The temperature of the room, it was too hot even with the windows open.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice People, very friendly. Staff is very helpful and knows the area. Great! Cosy place away from the backpackers crowd. Amazing for hikers and cyclists.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wide range of cooking tools, ie ovens, stove tops, microwaves, fridges and freezers. The dining/lounge area had plenty of comfy dining chairs and sofas and tables plus plenty of tourist information. The warden was very personable and helpful. She gave us a personal insight into her experiences during the floods at Boscastle in 2004.
7.7 Good
Pros: This YHA has an excellent location, it was very easy to do the coastal walk from Boscastle to Tintagle & then return on the bus. It is a very clean & attractive facility. The manager is very efficient & friendly. We phoned the day before & she was able to accommodate us to leave our backpacks while we explored for the day. Although we did not use the kitchen to prepare food, it was very well equiped and well organized. I would recommend YHA Boscastle to anyone.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything!! From arrival to departure it was simply put, the best get away we have ever had. Fantastic location, a short drive to some wonderful parts of Cornwall. Tintagel a few minutes in one direction and Boscastle a few in the other. And central to explore the wonders of Cornwall. The accommodation was first class, 5 star all the way. Sandy and Pete were the best hosts you could ever want, you were made to feel most welcome in their home. Fantastic food, lots of local produce, home cooked bread, served with a smile. The best breakfast ever! A truly wonderful feast, setting you up for the day ahead. Lots of choices, to suit every diet. Nothing was too much trouble, both Sandy and Pete, went out of their ways to make your stay as relaxing and rewarding as you wanted. You occasionally come across places to stay where the hosts go the extra mile, Sandy and Pete would happily run a marathon if it made your stay a happy one.
Cons: Coming away on our final day, we could have stopped there forever, neither myself or my partner wanted to leave. Having travelled extensively around the UK, this is the first place I have stopped where sadness descended upon checkout. On the plus side, we will return to enjoy another fantastic stay, again and again.

Pros: The location was fantastic and ideal for when I am working in the area. I will be staying here regularly from now on.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Nothing really. Could have got another B&B for £35 this was £86
Cons: The bed was well past it's used by date and so uncomfortable. Food was average pub grub. Breakfast was not until 9-10am. To me that's morning tea time. Compared with other hotel we have stayed in in the West of UK this hotel is overpriced for what you get. Wifi was no existent evrn with a modem outside the door. They did not offer Free cancellation. Would I stay again. No
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was basic but generous. No fruit, nuts or natural yoghurt. Excellent, freshly cooked English breakfast. Toast but not croissants, muffins etc
Cons: See above.
6.7 Good
Pros: Location, parking arrangements, breakfast.
Cons: We're not advised that the restaurant was very busy in the evenings and reserving a table was essential. We couldn't dine here, even though we were guests. Our room, 9, has a separate shower/wc, across the landing, awkward, but manageable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The size of the room, silence and yet near the pub with excellent food.
7.1 Good
Pros: Beds comfy. Friendly staff, helpful , very clean, spacious. Parking free, good breakfast
Cons: First impressions the annex was to clinical. To bright! lamps needed in the living room, a nice rug would be nice. Pictures on the wall. More homely. Curtains needed. Although helpful the equipment to dry shoes didn’t look good on entering the hall!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location with car parking in the public car park next door (you get a card to put in your car). Really lovely and friendly staff who really went out of their way to make us feel special. The breakfast was great too, lots to choose from.
Cons: The room we had included a private bathroom, however we didn’t expect to have to cross the hall to get to it. It was a lovely bathroom though and they provided bath robes.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a hotel that I would happily return to, everything from the car parking to the room its facilities the food, atmosphere, and a very hard working staff who do all they can to help.
Cons: I was very happy with everything.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location, near Port Isaac. The friendly staff. The beautiful sunsets. The large bed was perfect in a room with ample space. Also helping us to find a taxi to and from the airport and train station was appreciated.
Cons: The drunken men coming in around 1:30 am. Not really the hotels fault but still annoying. The only other thing I would add is having someone at reception more often. But we managed and we had a lovely stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great manager, beautiful setting, lovely evening meal and breakfast, secure bike storage.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: They were able to accommodate our late check in (we were coming straight from a wedding), provided us with a cot in our room for our 4 month old free of charge and the room was clean and bed comfortable. The staff were friendly and polite.
Cons: The soundproofing between rooms could have been better. Our 4 month old slept through the night but we were woken between 2.30 and 3.30am by a rowdy party of men singing Lionel Richie in the room next door to ours.
6.3 Good
Pros: The workers at the check-in were really friendly. The beds were nice for sleeping and good shower.
Cons: The apartment that we had booked was at the back of the hotel as if you were put somewhere in the back corner. It was a spacious apartment but not at all cozy and seriously outdated.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location for visiting resorts and other places of interest on both the north and south Cornwall coasts.
Cons: No quet public area to rerlax. The only area for guests was the bar and that was always full of golfers either chatting or watching television
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice staffs, large room

Pros: Room 15 with the sea view and big windows is really nice, location is good with only 20 mins walking distance to Tintagel, quiet area with nice views, guests and staff were lovely

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The mill house is in a lovely location, the staff are very welcoming, helpful and friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed. The food is really good and the breakfast is excellent.
Cons: We thought the outdoor area needed a little attention.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Quiet, calm, cosy
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: All good.
6.3 Good
Pros: Traditional building and atmosphere. Friendly staff.
Cons: The bed was small.
5.8 Okay
Pros: the location was good, close to Trebathwith Strand which is a lovely cove. Also close to Tintagel and facilities. The hotel was quirky in a lovely setting by a stream. However, we felt the hotel and rooms were looking run down and tired. We read reviews regarding the food and had hoped for a more extensive menu with better quality. However, the breakfast was good.
Cons: This is obviously a dog friendly hotel which is fine but as we do not have a pet it would have been nice for the restaurant to be dog free, especially when you are eating. Or make allowances for guests who do not have dogs ie a separate dining area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quiet location in a beautiful valley really close to lots of amazing cliff walks. Feed was excellent.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely scrambled egg and smoked salmon
Cons: Nothing
7.1 Good
Pros: The facility manager was absolutely amazing. She was every where, seemingly doing everything. Dinner, breakfast, checked us in, checked us out....begining to wonder if she had any help. The breakfast was incredible and the overall concept/facility was amazing.
Cons: There is no nice way to say this...the rooms were horrible!!! I felt like I had a curtain between the 4 rooms. I could here every word from all of the other four rooms next to ours. The doors slammed shut, people were talking, yelling, biligerent, and up all night. Bottom line...I truly did not get more than an hour or so of sleep...seriously. I loved the concept, staff, breakfast, and manager...however, I will not be going back to the location as you simply cannot get any sleep at this location. I would not recommend staying the night here.
6.7 Good
Pros: Breakfast was good.We opted for an evening meal due to the reviews but were disappointed.Expensive and was expecting better.
Cons: The little cottage could have been cleaner, lots of cobwebs and needed a good polish.Windows needed cleaning. Also in this day and age a larger screen Tv is a must, the one in the room was tiny, not much bigger than a laptop screen.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The setting was lovely and good good.
Cons: Room was nor clean. Facilities dated and lift lk e care paid to what guests might need. No shampoo very tiny bars of soap. Spiders in the bathroom and dirty furniture.

Pros: Location was great and bed was really comfortable.
Cons: We were sometimes made to feel like an inconvenience. Hostess was a bit abrupt at times
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The guesthouse owners were really helpful and friendly.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: View of Camelot Castle hotel and ocean Quiet and secure. Good breakfast.
Cons: Too many steps up to room for us both with arthritis in knees. Could not even get our cases up to our room so lived out the boot of our car One night we had nowhere to park so had to find nearby street.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Owners were so friendly and helpful, offering advice on the best places to eat, tips for enjoying the village and views. I read some of the negative comments before I came, all I can say is if you want expensive hotel accommodation, don’t stay in a B&B!! I had an amazing sea view, tasty breakfast, clean and very comfy bed, tea making in my room - all in a single room which surprisingly wasn’t in the rafters (often they are if you’re travelling solo). Would definitely stay here again.
Cons: I didn’t book enough holiday to stay longer!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was excellent. But Jo and her husband were just lovely. Jo gave us all sort of info and touristy stuff to do. Her husband even got our car out of its tight spot for us. What a great couple and hosts. Nothing was too much trouble.
Cons: Nothing. We loved it.
7.9 Good
Pros: Superb location friendly hosts
7.5 Good
Pros: Comfortable clean room
Cons: Breakfast was very poor
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I like that it is family owned so you know they care about you and what they do. We arrived very late and they were still kind enough to show us their establishment. The location was perfect being in town and close to all of the attractions nearby. We arrived by car and having a free spot to park on site is a bonus. The room was quiet and clean. The breakfast that they cooked for us was amazing!!! We are sure to recommend the Pendrin Guest House to anyone who plans to stay in the area!
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: The position
Cons: Room was not clean everywhere was very tired bathroom had hair on the floor and stayed there all the time we were there room was asked if we wanted sausage and bacon the night before which we did and when we got it in the morning was told she did not think we asked for it very rude
6.7 Good
Pros: They had problem with the cooking facilities., but coped very well , needed an extra member of staff to help with the breakfast,
Cons: The sausage was rubbery, the coffee/ tea was cold by the time we had our breakfast

5.0 Okay
Pros: The view from the bedroom window, fabulous vista of the sea. Parking was great, could leave the car there and wander into Tintagel. Also distance from the South West Coast Path was incredibly convenient! (It’s on it.) The impressiveness of the castle from outside.
Cons: The bathroom. I’ve literally never stayed anywhere with such an awful bathroom, it was like we had a portaloo in the room! I though there was perhaps too many of Ted’s paintings; there were 9 of them in our room alone! Breakfast was canteen style and I’d have been disappointed if we’d had that in a Travelodge. There were no biscuits in the room, though I could have purchased a nice looking piece of cake from the bar. The TV was smaller than my laptop. There needs to be some additional signage on the location of your room and the way back down. I had to go through a door that I had to carefully check wasn’t alarmed!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Bathroom facilities in the room were like something in a caravan and was far too small
7.1 Good
Pros: Five star views and amazing location, staff lovely and helpful, great breakfast and good coffee, the room we had breakfast on had sensational views of the tintagel ruins and sea , the hotel had potential to be a truly 5 star hotel, rooms just need some serious updating .
Cons: Room overpriced not comparable to other accommodation in the area , we paid extra for ocean views which we got , except the window was only about 2 foot wide, bed uncomfortable and old mattress , room very tired , the shower toilet you could hardly turn around in .
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Very expensive room with not very nice fixtures and fittings. Chair had broken springs and needed cleaning. Not up to standard for the price
7.5 Good
Pros: The bed was comfortable and the room was large with the most wonderful views.
Cons: The bathroom was disappointing! A ‘plastic pod’ reminiscent of Student Halls! A bath would have been lovely! I wanted a bottle of water to take up to our room, was not expecting the £4.50 price tag!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Room was lovely and surroundings amazing xxx
5.4 Okay
Pros: Lots of character dated as a castle should be don’t expect modern luxury
Cons: Prices and extra cost on top for breakfast and misleading sea view on room if you lean out of the window you can see the view .. 305 room side of the property mostly looking at the moorland .. back of the property Is the full sea views was disappointed room small dark and not worth £150 per night and then £20 on top for breakfast with the smallest of plates and buffet style was not expecting that
5.8 Okay
Pros: The scenery was magnificent
Cons: The bathroom in the room was hazardous and not safe for the elderly. The beds in the rooms must have come out of the Tower of London torture room. Hard as a rock.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Despite the hotel being reasonably priced, I felt like I was truly staying in a castle. The views were magnificent and the staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. The scenery is breathtaking. The bed was very comfortable and the food was also delicious.
Cons: It seemed as though no one had stayed in my room for a while, as it was a little bit dusty!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Historic Clean Friendly staff Easy walk to town and Tintagel Castle Good food
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The location was the only good thing about this hotel
Cons: Hotel in really bad condition. Room was stinking, broken damp walls and windows, the bathroom is basically not existent...some sort of really tiny plastic room with stained toilet seats. It was the worst hotel we ever stayed at.
