Pros: Thank you for an unforgetable experience, it was so great to meet you!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I can only recommend staying there! It’s a fabulous spot with more than welcoming hosts, great local if not homemade food and a cosy and peaceful accommodation!! Will certainly book again when in the area.

Pros: Tous is a pearl, a real discovery The couple who run this place are delightful and brilliant cooks too. Also v intelligent and interesting people.
Cons: Aol perfect
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful welcome, tastefully decorated, comfortable room. Fantastic, copious breakfast. View from the breakfast table was stunning. We aslo ate an evening meal which was lovely. Nothing was too much trouble and we were given very useful information about were to go and what to see in the area.
Cons: The light above the mirror in the bathroom was blue which was a bit wierd and made doing my make-up a challenge. The house is a bit isolated, nothing really within walking distance.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful welcome by very helpful hosts, speaking English and French. The bed is confortable, which was quite rare during our stay in Toscany. The bedroom was nice and well-equipped, very clean. The breakfast is wonderful, made to measure according to our tastes and diets. The view on the sea during the breakfast is amazing. We had dinner one evening at the B&B and it was delicious. A very very nice stay
Cons: The beach and the city are not that far, but the B&B is at the top of the hill so better to get a car to go there (or be prepared for a sporty walk to come back ;-)) Bring some mosquito repellent for the evenings.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful hosts & a delicious breakfast. Nice to be away from the tourists and in a residential area with a beautiful view of the sea.
Cons: Walk back from beach is up a steep hill, but many gorgeous beaches are within easy driving distance.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Amazing hosts, comfortable bed, wonderful breakfast, fantastic view from the breakfast terrace. We had a small apartment w. everything we needed. The house is in a wonderful location, in a big garden. There are some stairs, could be difficult for disabled. Our hosts were very helpful in everything. Thank you Bruna and Marco!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We were really happy with the room, which was rather like a small apartment. The property is situated up the hill in a forest and it is very quiet and peaceful. The beach is not in the immediate vicinity but all the nearby resorts are in a 10-15 min drive. The breakfast is served on the terrace overlooking the sea and in addition to the pleasant view offers a great variety of sweet and salty bites. Literally everything was perfect during our stay!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Family atmosphere, very clean, close to the beach, nice pool, excellent dinner
5.8 Okay
Pros: location
Cons: value for money
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Close to the beach Staff
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Castiglioncello is a lovely small town just 35 minutes from Pisa Centrale on the train so makes a great stay for both a short break or longer stays. The Villa Martini is superbly located with attentive and helpful staff. I would certainly stay again. The pool area was clean and tidy with lots of sun loungers in fact the hotel had lots of seating both inside and out.
Cons: For the time of year it was excellent in every aspect. Saying that I believe that in the summer the lack of air conditioning would be an issue.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was a nice continental, with a good selection. Good location that was easily walkable to most of the attractions in Castiglioncello. Bonus of having free on-site parking, but the parking is limited during busy periods. The room was nice and clean and the balcony was a great addition. The area around the pool was a nice play to sit outside and the staff were all very friendly. Would stay again.
Cons: The lift was a bit small (but typical for the area) for most modern prams (as we travelled with a small 4 month old child). We only just squeezed in, otherwise it would be the stairs. So if have children try and request a room closer to the ground floor.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Staff helped us book restaurants as very busy town on the weekend. Clean room, good size for three people (not large per se). Highlight was lounging by the pool after a day at the beach.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff
Cons: Room a little bit small
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very personlised stay. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast.
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very charming family run hotel with friendly staff and spacious facilities. Quiet and clean hotel. Lovely sun deck with various pools.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Loooved our room (junior suite) and the view - the best! Central but still relatively quiet location (apart from the Italian mofas). Very close to the beach. Castiglioncello is a cute little town with pine trees and a few shops/restaurants right around the corner. No problem if you require a glutenfree breakfast. They even made a glutenfree birthday cake for my boyfriend. Would go back again!
Cons: Their 3 pools were too cold for me (in June).

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel has a stunning view and even at full capacity remains quiet and peaceful. The sea view from the room is breath taking! The location is ideal; you can walk everywhere in the charming village and there is a private access to the sea. The staff is nice and professional. We will come back!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful & comfortable hotel right in front of beautiful Tirrenian sea, wonderful swimming pool, 3 terraces on the beach rocks, good Tascan food, naturally & kindly helpful stuff and lots of Sun and Blue Sky !!
Cons: Unhappy to leave the hotel !
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a wonderful three days stay. Staff was incredibly helpful and friendly , the location, building, views and facilities are superb. We were very lucky to get an upgrade, so we had a room with a terrace overlooking the sea. We could not have wished for anything better. The hotel has a great restaurant too. We will certainly be back. So thank you for this !
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Overall our stay at Villa Parisi was very relaxing and comfortable. The room, swimming pool area and access to the sea were all very good. The area on the sea front was particularly nice in the early evenings when we took a picnic and had a swim for the sunset. The staff on the front desk were extremely accommodating throughout our staff no matter what the time was.
Cons: An area for improvement would be the breakfast and poolside facilities. The hotel had a large group on our first and second day and as a result the staff were solely fixed on serving them. Only on one of the three days were the staff attentive enough to open the pool bar. I would recommend Villa Parisi utilise their staff and explain to guests what options are available at breakfast and when the pool bar may be open.
Locanda Garzelli - Quercianella - Building

9.1 Excellent (700 reviews)
C$ 121+
Overview Reviews
Set on Quercianella Bay, Locanda Garzelli is an elegant villa from the early 1900s. Offering beautiful views of the Tyrrhenian Sea, its restaurant specialises in fresh fish. Completely refurbished in 2011, the Locanda offers rooms with free WiFi and a private bathroom with a hairdryer. Half of the rooms offer a balcony with sea view. An Italian breakfast of coffee and croissants is served in a dining hall with veranda overlooking the sea. The property aims to satisfy any special requests. The restaurant is set in a smaller early 20th-century building. It is set directly on the waterfront and offers panoramic sea views. Free parking is provided.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Our room on the shared terrace was gorgeous. We had our own space and sun chairs, and were able to go between the beach and our chairs easily. The meals at the restaurant were also delicious. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Cons: The lack of flexibility was difficult—we would have loved to move our stay to the next night for the sake of flights and it was not an option. Quercianella is also adorable for a day or 2 but not much exists there beyond the beach and a few hotels.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful sea view, high cuisine restaurant, very friendly staff
Cons: Everything was fantastic
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location and the staff is undoubtedly the best part of this experience.

All air-conditioned, rooms at the Tirreno also feature free Wi-Fi, a minibar and a flat-screen TV with satellite and pay-per-view channels. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: From the moment of our arrival, to that when we let, a really good experience. The hotel is well placed in the town with excellent proximity to the sea, the staff are most welcoming, and the accommodation comfortable and immaculately clean.
Cons: The fact I had to go home!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel with a warm and friendly atmosphere. Room was execellent and very tidy. Loved it here. We will definetely come back!
7.1 Good
Pros: Evrything, without the bed
Cons: The bed!
7.5 Good
Pros: Location and it’s a beautiful house.
Cons: The Air condition was controlled front the main desk and was set very high. The temperatures were in the 90s and the rooms were very hot, uncomfortable and so was the entire house.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Very small room
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very good breakfast and nice terrace to eat it on. Good clean room, well serviced, and hotel. Pleasant staff.
Cons: There was no information on the local area available in the hotel. Food and drink options would have been especially useful and was a particular problem to us as early May was very much off peak for the area and lots of the restaurants were closed.
7.1 Good
Pros: Quality hotel in good position. Adequate rooms. Balcony rooms worth the extra cost.
Cons: The hot water system failed totally our first day. Although the cold water was actually tepid, my lady was unable to complete her natural wish to wash the sea salt out of her hair and had an uncomfortable night. To complicate matters, the staff gave contradictory advice. First, it was just our room; then the hotel. Then it would be fixed before dinner; then not. All questions were referred to the owner who was not on duty and really had no better idea than the staff. I suggested (in passable italian) that we should receive a discount for that night. The suggestion was met with incomprehension bordering on hostility.
7.1 Good
Pros: A hotel with a very good design. But, the room went out and it was noisy. The air conditioner was also buzzing. The room was well cleaned. The location is fine, the exit directly to the large beautiful park. The sea is five minutes away. We stayed here a second time. But this time we did not like the food in the restaurant. Find a close-good restaurant could not, some fast food.
Cons: the air conditioning and food in the restaurant for lunch and dinner are very loud.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: location is simply perfect. The hotel is in an amazing turn of the century liberty villa with a great garden. Very quiet and close to all amenities. breakfast is good
Cons: Rooms are a bit basic but the rest is good
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely decoration of he property
Cons: No real bar, inside or outside, as such. Evening meal poor, with little choice.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: swimming pool, calm and 5 min drive to the ocean, perfect for families, lots of kids
Cons: the kitchen was less modern than the whole very beautiful furnished appartment
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Amazing ambiente, very comfortable bed and room with outdoor tables for breakfast or other needs. Very calm surrounded by olive trees and friendly personnel. Definitely worth a recommendation!
Cons: I couldn’t find a tray or a cloth to dry the dishes after cleaning them.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Oooh..heated pool, nice staff, really good price for the comfort. Visit spiagge bianche.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: heated swimming pool, nice location
7.1 Good
Cons: there is a lot of building work at the property , no where on site to buy provisions
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful place in very nice country of Toscana. Very helpful lady, the owner. Rooms are stylish, very clean, nicely furnished.
6.3 Good
Pros: I was there before and I loved it. The apartments are nice and clean and the green area all around is pretty nice and well cared of. It is a peaceful place and the renovation of the check in area is taking a new great shape.
Cons: We went there for our second time to spend a longer week end; the feeling was not the same as before. The place is great, however some renovation works were in progress and some areas (like the play ground for kids) were not entirely available. Some more new buildings are being added to the original place and, even if works haven't been completed yet, you can imagine they are going to have quite an high impact on the future landscape. We asked for late check out and it was no possible; last year we were told we could spend some time at the swimming pool provided we leave the room on time. Actually they ended up doing our room at the very last so that we could even take a shower before leaving. By the way, the swimming pool was not really heated and they close/cover it up too early. Swimming at 19.30 during this season is something anyone want to do.
2.5 Mediocre
Cons: On the check in day I wrote to the property that I will arrive late, @ 9pm. No reply. When I arrived nobody at check in desk, all personel gone, and nobody answered the phone no. from booking.com. I called booking.com help desk but nobidy answered. I ask other guests and one had a private phone no. of the check in desk from a previous stay, he called her and that's how we could find out which is our room and how to enter it. If this guest didn't help us we would had to find another place for that night.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice staff and beautiful location
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in completely new building with new equipment. AC worked perfectly no charge. Super nice self service bar by the pool.
Cons: You could hear neighbours as there is possibility to join rooms - only one door separates rooms.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent host and the apartment
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, staff was amazing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I arrived by car and in front of the B&B is a parking garage where I could park the car for free for the one night I was there, courtesy of the B&B! The room (named London) is very spacious and clean. The twinbed is very good. Breakfast voucher is included for a simple but good breakfast in the bakery 20m away. Owner is very pleasant and sweet. Good location.
Cons: There is a kitchenette, but the microwave and watercooker couldn't be connected to the powernet (no sockets in there). I had tot place the watercooker on one of the nightstands besides the bed.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: well organised with the parking, fast check in nice apartment welcoming atmosphere
Cons: it was a little bit cold, although with the heating was better, but it was difficult to maintain the temperature

Pros: Everything was just great! We were extremely excited about this stay. The personel were so kind, and the location is perfect with a swimmingpool and the sea just 10 meters away. The restaurant on the hotel was furthermore very good and we had a fantastic experience with the kitchen deciding our dinner for us. We ended up paying two times for our dinner in a misunderstanding but the hotel was very fast and gave us great customer service when they gave us the money back for the one payment so we didn't paid twice.. Great experience!

Pros: A gracious old building beautifully modified . ACin bedrooms excellent and fresh breeze through fine public rooms . Terrace restaurant majors on seafood - excellent opportunities to interview fish before eating !

Pros: Excellent service from receptionist meant our stay went very smoothly
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The pool was fantastic!very clean and stylish area with plenty of comfortable sun beds. It was such a relaxing place to be. The apartment was great with a big balcony. The reception staff are so friendly and helpful and allowed us to check in early and use the pool after we checked out. There is a filtered water cooler that you can get water from at anytime and refill bottles free of charge which we found a great extra touch. There was a good childrens park too to help keep the little one entertained. Parking and acess to the hotel was through a security gate which was another bonus. We would stay again!
Cons: Not many resteraunts within walking distance. We had a hire car so we were able to go to some fantastic ones.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Friendly stuff. Nice pool area. Breakfast
Cons: We were travelling with a 1 year old kid and one the most important things for us was cleanliness. First thing what shocked us ,was a dirty floor at the room. Even after asking for proper cleaning and washing it few times by ourselves ,it was still impossible to walk without shoes. Feet become dark with muck in 2 min. This villa was located in very small village. Without car, there are hardly any places to visit around. By photos, it's showed amazing clean sea. But unfortunately, we didn't find it close by. For really clean water with nice sand you have to go by car about 15min. One more point was internet. Or better to say absence of it. You hardly can open even Google mail, what to say about any other web sites. If you are traveling with small kid, you should be not surprised if older kids will wake up at 6am and will playing and shouting next to your window. The last thing is mosquitoes. With central ac we couldn't use it because was afraid that child will get cold, so only one option was is to open the window. And then no mercy.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice and hlpfull stuff.
Cons: Too many mosquitos, we couldnt sleep for 3days, they nearly killed us :( then we learned what to do against. Private beach was not so nice. Room was a bit different then the pictures showed.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The receptionist Jessica where absolutely great, very helpful and kind.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It's a lovely house with separate flats for families or couples. The territory is very groomed. We took bikes to go to the seaside - it was an amazing ride. We also had a swim in the outdoor pool.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, amazing breakfast, a short walk to the nice beach, helpful staff, good bed
Cons: There wasn't a “Do not disturb“- or “Leave the appartement alone“-sign, so the towels were changed every day, which wasn't necessary, but you can arrange more ecological options with the very friendly staff at the reception.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is great and clean, friendly and helpful staff. The grounds of hotel are very clean and well organised. Great place to stay with the kids, lots of activities, swimming pool and the beach close by. Would definitely recommend and if passing by again will definitely stay again.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The architecture and garden is very nice. The sunsets are excellent. Outdoor showers are fun.
Cons: It is not a private as implied in the advertising. The beach is of poor quality. The villa only has one wiring air con unit in a back bedroom. There was absolutely no flexibility in check-in or check out. Staff were late for the arranged times on both.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Really lovely hotel with swimming pool overlooking the ocean. Room & Bed were super comfy and the dinner was lovely too.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Everything about the hotel was great the design the setting the staff were friendly and helpful even with the language barrier
Cons: There was no snack menu for day times
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff super friendly and helpful, location and view amazing. For those who likes a small luxury hotels, this one could be the one. I don’t understand why it has just 3 stars. Only the breakfast was on the level of 3 stars hotel. Everything else is at least 4.
Cons: Noise in the morning with room doors. Mechanisms for closing the doors should be different in order not to make such a noise and wake up someone who would love to sleep a bit longer, considering that the hotel has a super relaxing and silence atmosphere. Closing door mechanism should be in line with a hotel’s atmosphere.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: As a young couple with a small dog, we absolutely enjoyed our stay at this Hotel. The Villa with its approximately 25 small rooms is perfect for a relaxed pool vacation, but also gives you the opportunity to visit famous cities in its surrounding (Pisa, Lucca, Firenze, etc.) The standard double room was traditionally decorated, perfectly equipped and very clean. What we loved the most was the salt water pool with sea view, such as the see view from the restaurant during breakfast and dinner. We also highly recommand the Hotel restaurant for dinner, it is by far the best arround and offers a large variety of delicious italian meals. The staff is absolutely brilliant. VERY friendly and funny, and after 2 days they knew what we wanted to drink for example. The breakfast was ok. Everything was there, but it was pretty average to be honest. We didn‘t leave the table hungry anyway.
Cons: Since we had to take a small cage with us to put the dog in while we were at the pool, we found out that the room was a bit too small and had one too many chairs in it. We had to put one chair on top of the shelf in order to be able to move around the room with one bag and a dog cage laying around. The bathroom is also too small and the ventilation in the bathroom had no effect at all. We had no chance to dry our swimming clothes or towels, and the mirror took ages to dehaze after a warm shower. The parking situation is a lottery though. First come, first served. But since you have to take the car to move arround, our parking space was not reservated. I must admit though that we found a always found a free space at every time of the day. EXCEPT for our las evening. After returning from a long drive threw the heaviest thunderstorm I have ever been through, we arrived at the Hotel and quickly realized that there was more going on that normal dinner service. Yes, a wedding. The parking lot was absolutely jammed in a real italian way. Cars were parked literally everywhere. We didn‘t even managed to enter the site with our wide Audi (compared to all the Fiat 500 and Fiat Pandas ^^) That night, which was our last night, we had to park our car illegally since there was litterally NO other space left in the entire street. We would have loved to be informed about a wedding taking place that night, maybe we would have planned our day accordingly.

7.5 Good
Pros: Good personnel, we asked to check in early because I was a little sick, they made sure the room was ready as soon as possible.
Cons: Our room was right next to the breakfast bar, so we heard people eating (knifes scratching over plates) while still trying to sleep.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel, friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast
7.9 Good
Pros: It was a beautiful hotel with a lot of charm and character. The breakfast was lovely and the bed was a king size. Staff were also very nice.
Cons: Our toilet cistern was broken, which made things a bit unpleasant. The noise from downstairs and people coming upstairs was a pain. The front door after hours was very loud, as other guests let the door bang over and over again. If it only happened occasionally I wouldn’t be mentioning it. The hotel needs to somehow silence the door.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view from the bed was truly stunning
9.6 Excellent
Cons: Bed was very hard
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Vey clean hotel, with a great staff located near the sea.
Cons: Sounds of reception calls can be heard in the room above, I would recommend taking the garden view room which is more quite
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent staff. Room very comfy and roomy - bed firm (to my liking). Breakfast good value for money with a good choice. Close to the main promenade in Livorno but a bit far to leg it to the centre. Easy enough to drive in though, A few nice restaurants within a 10 minute walk. A very nice stay and would recommend.
Cons: There is no parking only paid outside in the road. We travelled off season and had no problems but finding a space might be an issue in the summer. There aren't many "facilities" that you might expect in a three star hotel - think of this place as a posh B&B and you won't be disappointed!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, quality of the hotel.
Cons: Not as close the centre as I thought.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location with seaview, opposite to the Naval Academy and within walking distance to city center. Very friendly staff, both at the reception and at the breakfast. Well implemented classic Navy style in the hotel corridors and in the rooms.
Cons: Windows too high to look through.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful location, couldn’t be better. They have successfully managed to maintain the old world grandeur and combine it with contemporary ie the bathrooms are modern. The history is everywhere and draws you in. Staff are super and very friendly.
7.5 Good
Pros: The reception staff were unbelievably helpful. Probably the best I’be ever come across.
Cons: Beds could have been more comfortable. A lot of climbing involved and no direct access to the beach even though it’s very close. No bar or food available during the day. Also a grudge in the room would be nice given that water etc has to be brought in.
7.1 Good
Pros: the breakfast was good, with lovely sea view
Cons: could have provided some ant spray, a tea/coffee tray would have been nice. More electric socket in the room also
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is fantastic with great history, very well preserved, good breakfast. Tuscany is magnificent!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! Fantastic location, great view toward the sea, extremely friendly and cooperative receptionist. We're already planning to go back!
Cons: There was nothing that we didn't like! Well, we didn't like that we had only one night to spend there.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great staff - really nice people, good service, nice historic building, and good location at the sea (but no sand, rocky - not very good for swimming) sunbeds and lunch/bar easily available
Cons: No air condition(!!) how could I forget to check that...my mistake...but no air condition means I cannot recommend summertime. With aircond would be a nice place for a couple of relaxing days.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view
Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: The location is fantastic. The interiors date the opening of the hotel in 1912 and they are beautiful.
Cons: Beds were uncomfortable, and you could hear noise from nearby rooms. The breakfast wasn’t as expected either.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: A blast from Castiglioncello’s iconic past, this hotel is excellently located and full of other worldly details that are fab. I hope this place never changes.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Staff all very friendly and extremely helpful. Convenient location
7.9 Good
Pros: Good location close to the beach and the main street, and very quiet at the same time. Free parking! Parking in Castiglioncello is a nightmare, so this option was really important for us. Clean room and bathroom, good bed. Tasty croissants, fruit salad and coffee for breakfast. Roberto was amazingly helpful and welcoming. Make sure to check the "Veneto" gelateria out, it's outstanding!
Cons: "Economy" room was very small. No balcony. No place to dry wet towels and swimwear. Strange decoration of rooms and halls (artificial flowers, drapery on tables and chairs etc). And, frankly speaking, Tuscany is not about beach holidays after all, it is much more than that :)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel provided parking and the staff were very helpful. Very clean, well managed hotel.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was perfect!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was amazing, the ham & cheese was delicious with cooked to order omelettes that were just fab. All the fresh pastries, cakes and breads were lovely and the restaurant was beautiful. The swimming pool was lovely and refreshing and it was delightful that it was an indoor pool out of the sun. The staff were amazing, very friendly and approachable and always willing to cater to our needs. Will certainly stay again in the future.
Cons: Nothing, everything was perfecto!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast spread and the elderly lady and staff in-charge were fabulous and courteous- greeted us everyday! Some rooms have a very old air con but when we told the staff that we could not manage with that, they changed our room with a better and newer air con. Rooms had good decor.
Cons: We were asked to pay a fee when leaving which the lady at the reception changed (increased) 3 times, so we had no clue whether she was right or wrong.
4.2 Okay
Pros: The hotel was right in the center of Castiglioncello. We only needed to walk for 5-10 minutes to the beach, different restaurants and the supermarket. Our room was situated in the second building of the hotel. The pool and the garden there was very nice.
Cons: The room was very, very small. We didn´t have enough room to lay down our suitcases. Furhtermore, there was no space to hang up our beach towels for drying. Around the pool there were not enough sunbeds for most of the day. But there would be more then enough place for more sunbeds. When we entered the room for the first time, the floor was completely dirty of dust, and on our second day, there was also no cleaning. We had no warm water in the shower two times. Therefour on our second day, we went to the lobby to talk the receptionist about the cleaning and the warm water. However, he only said, that it can´t happen that there is no warm water and that they didn´t clean our room because we had the "do not disturb" sign on our door, and after 12am the cleaning ladies are gone. However, we had that sign hanging for about 10 minutes, when we were changing for the beach, around 11 o´clock and not until 12. But the guy at the reception didn´t care for what we were saying. But for all that, what angered us the most, was the breakfast. There was nearly only sweet cakes for breakfast. Everyday only one sort of fruit or vegetables, one sort of cheese, only hard boiled eggs... I´m clear, that a cornetto and a coffee is the typical Italien breakfast, but for more than a 100€ a night I´m expecting a bit more, than a sweet dish and a coffee. Also after 9:00 they didn´t refill the dishes that were empty anymore. Though, the highlight was the orange juice. Every guest was only allowed to drink one glass of fresh orange juice per day!!! And that glass was exactly the juice of one orange. However, after two days we didn´t had to bother ourselfs about that, because from that day on they had no oranges for the last three days of our trip. I would recommend everyone to avoid this hotel!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms are nice, location is great! Parking. Everything were perfect.
2.9 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: This was a nightmare. Nothing was as advertised, they didn’t give us a room in the Hotel itself, but a room in a different facility what they called their “Second Structure” which was 3 blocks away from the so called “Hotel”. The room was on 3rd floor and was more like a Motel (without a Elevator). The AC wasn’t working, after telling them that the AC isn’t working a gentleman came clean the filter but it still wasn’t working and he kindly said he can’t do more...So, we initially booked for 7 days but we decided to change our plan and just leave the next day. We stayed one night but paid for two. This hotel was a nightmare gone wild. I do not recommend it to any one and especially families with Children
7.9 Good
Pros: The swimming pool with jets and waterfall was lovely to relax in after a day on the beach. The room had a large terrace which caught the evening sun
Cons: The bath was on the small side

Cons: No bar service.

Pros: The comfot
Cons: Far from town
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Perfect for the overnight before the ferry, easy to find, easy to park, easy to check in, easy to check out.
6.7 Good
Pros: For a one-night stay it was ok. Confortable bed, clean bathroom, minibar. Big, modern hotel with modern facilities. The central station is quite close.
Cons: The staff at the reception was rather unwelcoming and cold. Maybe because we only stayed one night? The staff at breakfast looked bored and not interested, made a lot of noise while cleaning the tables and did not offer to help. The bathroom door was made of glass and did not close completely, so that you could easily see the toilet and bathtub from outside... a modern fail, in my opinion (see photo with the bathroom door).

Pros: Fantastic bed and shower, great breakfast and friendly staff.

Grand Hotel Palazzo Livorno - Mgallery - Livorno - Building

Overview Reviews
Go back in time and relive royal and Belle Epoque charm at Grand Hotel Palazzo, one of the most beautiful in the world, located on the ancient Via del Passeggio, behind the legendary Terrazza Mascagni. It offers for unforgettable moments: elegant rooms and suites with view of the Arcipelago Toscano, refined Italian and international cuisine, spa, meeting spaces, the Marconi Bar on the roof and a gym.
7.5 Good
Pros: The staff we're lovely. The room was otherwise comfortable. The roof top bar was lovely.
Cons: Lack of a second chair in the room (for 2 people) A bathroom shower where the water runs down the side flooding the floor. A mediocre breakfast where they seem to steam cook the fatiest bacon I've ever encountered.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great view from the top floor. Good bar and restaurant
Cons: The bathroom was well overdue for a refurbish and the air conditioning noisy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Professional and friendly staff. Quality hotel.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great views & location Huge room
Cons: Bathroom needs updating But ok
5.4 Okay
Pros: Location and beautiful building, reception staff
Cons: Cleanliness very dusty in room everywhere and under the bed, the air conditioner was really dusty and I think that’s where it was coming from. Really bad mould in bathroom around shower, top sheet not changed for 4 days, the rest of bedding and towels were changed daily. Maid didn’t leave toiletries every day I had to ask for vanity set and makeup wipes, no milk or stirring implements for the tea, had to ask reception , gave up in the end!! Breakfast staff didn’t ask what we wanted to drink always had to approach them, very understaffed, scrambled eggs in buffet were green (yes I mean green) had been in heater too long. Staff always got us fresh so that was a plus, bread was dry and not appetising. Generally not what we have experienced at other Sofitels. Guests are allowed dogs but need a rule so not by the pool, I had a dog shake his fur all over me then lay on my clothes, the owner had no control. The Al a carte restaurant was lovely and food excellent. there was no pool food like panini or pizza just the al a Carey menu which was a bit much for lunch, they did crisps nuts or meat and cheese that was delicious.
4.6 Okay
Pros: Parking on the territory is available
Cons: This is not 5 star. 1) no chance to iron your clothes, they don't have irons at all (due to some city policy). And I had an event that day, but they told that nothing to do - side service is not available on Sat. 2) the beach is somewhere 15 min drive, we even didn't try to find it, 3) the phone and coffee machine were broken (then repaired thank you), but coffee capsules are awful, so even do not try them, 4) walls requre repairment as well as bathroom - there was black mold in it, 5) breakfast is average.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful hotel, all the staff was extreme friendly. We had the best room I ever had in my live, thanks a lot to all the people of the Grand Hotel Palazzo. The breakfast was also a dream, thanks for the great stay at your hotel in Livorno. Best regards Bernd Müller
5.8 Okay
Pros: close to the port
Cons: support and kindness of the night shift reception
6.7 Good
Pros: Location, view, and bedroom ....
Cons: Bathroom doesn’t meet the standards of even a 2 stars hotel.. Its marble, yes, but rusty with a rusty self adhesive mirror, blocked shower, and poor lighting. Breakfast is of poor quality and choices.. The number of staff serving are much less compared to number of guests... Disorganized...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely place and extremely helpful staff
Cons: Not a full 5 stars!
