10.0 Excellent
Pros: Authentic period property Good breakfast Hosts local knowledge of down town restaurants very good. Walk into Laval centre an easy 35 min walk
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bedroom was spacious and nicely decorated.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The host and hostess are lovely and very helpful. The site itself is attractive. The rooms are clean.
Cons: We booked two rooms for an over night stay and were put in the “stables” (this is what it is referred to on their website). The rooms are clean but basic with a bathroom and ‘kitchenette’ crammed in. The kitchenette (a sectioned off area) is shabbily executed and pretty pointless. The shower door did not close and was precarious. The window handle in both rooms was not attached and the shutters were flimsy wood just about nailed together. Although dressed nicely, the bed was a “put me up” frame with a thin mattress. Not a 75 Euros a night bed! Nothing other than towels are provided, no milk, tea or coffee (although to be fair this is not mentioned on booking.com) or anything at all in the kitchenette, not even a kettle or cups in one of our rooms. Their website refers to kitchen equipment. Wi-Fi for the majority of the time was not accessible from one of our rooms. The whole place looks like a work in progress - with much more work to do. Our rooms were not worth the 75 Euros per night fee. They should be nearer 50 Euros compared with other much, much better places we have stayed. The breakfast (although in a lovely setting) at 8 Euros is similarly of poor value, little choice and very little of what is there actually is. We won’t be staying again until problems are rectified.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: A historic, almost fairytale, property, the Manoir is a wonderful place to stay. The rooms are spacious and well appointed and the husband and wife team couldn’t be more welcoming. The evening meal was delicious and cooked to meet personal dietary requirements. Take your time over dinner, enjoying some wine from a well chosen cellar. Then relax in front of the huge open fire with a glass of the Manoir’s own Calvados!
Cons: Sadly the Manoir’s estate was compulsorily purchased for local housing which now surrounds it; reaching the property is tedious and a complex in heavy traffic and rain. The entrance off a roundabout is difficult and could be better signed. Despite this you will soon be hit by a wow factor that makes the tedium worthwhile! There are no beverage-making facilities in the room and hanging space was at a premium.
Hotel Auberge Des Remparts - Laval - Bedroom
14
8.8 Excellent (135 reviews)

Local activities include visiting the town’s market or golfing at Laval golf course, 7 km away.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location,we could walk everywhere ,
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Typical French breakfast. Do not expect a large buffet. In the middle of the town (needs a good satnav) Location is super, very old building (charming)
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Stuff is super friendly and smiley!
Cons: Noise when flushing the toilet
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel manager is very cool person, and was very helpful and friendly The room had everything i needed, from a small disk and chair for working to the awesome olive soap and shower gel. The location of the hotel is ideal if you are visiting the main parts of the city, as well as the Laval Virtual exhibition. Although i didn't have breakfast, it looked really nice.
Cons: The room was a bit loud because it had two windows directly on the street, so if you are a light sleeper like me, be sure to drop an email and ask for a room in the back, as it will be much more quite.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable stay (quiet room, nice decoration), cleanliness, gentle and helpful host, convenient location (short walking distance to the city hall, shops and cafes, the old bridge, and the city bus stops--including the line B that goes to the train station).
