Pros: Superb breakfast. Charming, helpful, hostess. Immaculately clean. Comfortable beds with lovely cotton sheets.

Pros: Lovely breakfast. Very welcoming host. Spotless bathroom and cosy, pretty bedroom. Bed very comfortable. The little kitchenette would have been very useful on a longer stay.
Cons: I prefer softer pillows, but this is only a very minor point.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Really, really lovely people running the hotel , they were really helpful and let us check in very early as we arrived having travelled thru the night , getting us out to the slopes that day . Great location - parking easy at hotel but also on bus route - easy to get to the best lifts for the whole area. lovely room, more spacious than most ski rooms , nice balcony and view , unexpectedly had kitchenette which was really handy . newly done bathrooms . Great breakfasts. restaurants and bars nearby walking distance, town accessible with car , could have walked tho that might have been a bit of a trek uphill but I did walk home downhill one night which was fine !

Pros: Quiet location but within reasonable distance of local amenities. Very friendly staff, we knew just enough of each others language to make ourselves understood. Very well decorated and comfortable room with kitchenette. Great WiFi connectivity. Superb breakfast selection at a good price. Free parking. Easy access 'after hours' via side door. Fleur De Neige Hôtel - Châtel - Bedroom
5
9.1 Excellent (235 reviews)
C$ 275+
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Fleur De Neige Hôtel in Chatel, you'll be in the mountains, within a 10-minute drive of Portes du Soleil and Super Chatel Ski Lift. Featured amenities include express check-out, multilingual staff, and an elevator (lift). Free self parking is available onsite.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location, the view from the rooms, the size of the rooms and storage space.
Cons: In Rooms 21-24 and others on those floors there is no drying space for wet clothes and only one heater on the wall. Nowhere to hang ski jackets or any wet gear so we had to lay it on the floor. Not even pegs to hang it on the wall. I thought a ski hotel would have had this as standard. Niowhere to plug phone chargers in, you had to unplug the heater or the lights and even then a travel plug would not go in most of the plugs so we had to share one charger between us for all our electronic devices, phones, lap tops, shavers, hairdryer etc. You can't stand up to have a shower as there is nowhere to hang the shower handle so you have to hold it above your head. Probably quite easy things to rectify.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a fabulous stay with an amazing view of the mountains from our balcony. The room was large and perfectly suited our needs. Chatel is a wonderful place to stay both in the winter and summer. Highly recommended
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great service, friendly helpful staff. Excellent family rooms.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel, extremely comfortable bed and a lovely room with a balcony and ensuite. Excellent breakfast
Cons: Nothing
7.9 Good
Pros: I particularly liked the size of the family room. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bedding luxurious.
Cons: I thought the spa facilities feel well short of those advertised: the jacuzzi was tiny, the steam room cold and there was so much chlorine in the pool the smell permeated the entire building and caused our eyes to be sore for some time after swimming.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location of hotel for skiing was excellent with bus stop right outside that could take you to either ski location. Coffee and tea facilities in the room, friendly staff, nice restaurant
Cons: There were no stairs to connect the lower floors, not the best breakfast we’ve experienced.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Pretty much everything was spot on apart from parking
Cons: Parking on night of arrival was a problem, as the restaurant guests had used all the spaces - maybe they need to allocate those who stay in the hotel a space?
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beds were very comfy. Staff excellent
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The Restaurant exceeded our expectations, superb cuisine. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were comfortable clean and well equipped.
Cons: I found being on the street side a bit noisy with traffic and snow plough noise waking me during the night. They only have one bedroom with a bath (rather than shower) on the quieter side.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Complete staff is very friendly. Restaurant is excellent, the best we experienced in Chatel! Breakfast is not "waw", but more than sufficient and fresh. Rooms and rest of hotel are extremely clean. Skiroom is is nice, safe and heated. Location next to skibus. We will surely come back next year.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Superfriendly staff, great atmosphere, great food. We got a '4 person room' with a separate room, which was much appreciated!
Cons: We didn't like... to have to go back home...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I booked an economic room, but when I checked in the receptionist told us that we would be settled in a upper grade room with view to the mountains and it was incredible. The breakfast is good with homemade bread and tasty hot chocolate. Dinner served at the hotel is delicious and at a reasonable price.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. There is not a single thing i can flaw about this accomodation... the view was spectacular from our room on the 2nd floor, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom was clean, dinner was delicious and affordable and the staff were very friendly and spoke quite good english. 10/10!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It's a family hotel, and you truly feel that vibe during your stay. The staff is attentive, warm, and welcoming. And one of the true gems of this hotel is the dinner and wine selection. We ate there every night, a gourmet French meal, with sustainable and local ingredients, served by a talented chef. The hotel is cozy, and you are welcome to lounge about and enjoy a local glass of wine, personally selected by the house expert. It was so nice to return back to the hotel after a long day of snowboarding and feel like you're coming home (but with the above-mentioned gastronomic benefits!).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were fantastic, bed room was great, ski room to keep stuff warm in is great. Very accommodating, they let us arrive at the dead of night and then check out the day before as we were leaving very early. Very close to the lifts. I would definitely stay here again.
Cons: More clarity around the breakfast menu and pricing. It seems that the normal breakfast buffet is €8.50 then the bigger breakfast is €12.50, it appears that the only difference is an egg, but I can't be sure. Tasty but I wasn't sure what constituted what.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: I recommend this place for jews who Shabbat the owner really tried to help us. With the sensors.
7.9 Good
Pros: The staff are very friendly and always will to help. Very clean.
Cons: It states WiFi everywhere. You don’t get WiFi in your room and if your lucky enough to get it your restricted to 30 minutes. 30 MINUTES!! This is a joke. Don’t state that you have WiFi if 1 it’s restricted to 30 minutes and two you have to sit in the bar! Room service - The only thing they cleaned/ would do is make the bed. We left dirty bowls and glasses on the side, went skiing come back 7 hours later and everything still there. Jesus I know it’s 2 star but come on. A kettle - No kettle to make hot drinks. This is the most simplistic thing you could possibly place in a room. Or at least complimentary drinks at the bar.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The beds were extra comfy. Also the hotel owner was particularly kind and welcoming
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful stay, very friendly staff, comfy bed and smooth check in etc
Cons: The coffee at breakfast could’ve been better
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff were incredibly helpful. Just a small walk from town. Provided extra space to keep skis and boots.
Cons: Room was a little small, but we didn’t spend much time in the room. Good value for money!

9.2 Excellent
Pros: I am a frequent visitor to Chatel and wanted to go for a walk down memory lane one more time! I have stayed in this facility several times and always found it to be clean and easy to access, with good parking. The wifi worked well and the staff were very helpful and personable.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Spacious room Big bathroom Good bed, quiet during the night Very kind personnel
Cons: Breakfast was a bit simple not much choice
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Afternoon sun and view from balcony
Cons: Restaurant closed in low season
6.3 Good
Pros: Clean tidy....
Cons: Didn’t like the surprise when paying the bill That breakfast was a chargeable extra, Booking.com don’t have it clearly stated on their Web site!! And 11€ for a child’s breakfast is Much!!!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Hotel did exactly what it needed to! Very short walk(cut through Car park using lift) to buses to Pre la Joux to ride Avoriaz etc and only another minute past the bus stop to the main lift for Chatel resort. Rooms nothing fancy but quaint, comfortable, warm and clean. Staff had better English than my French, although not fluent, but even when language was a barrier they were very courteous and happy to help.
7.1 Good
Pros: Stunning views and a homely, warm and friendly reception. My son took a turn for the worse and it wasn’t any trouble having the chef make a soup (off menu) to make him feel better. Small things like this make you remember a place. Dinner serves up Savoiyard (excuse my spelling) local dishes which were rich and generous. Breakfast was good value at €11 Per head and there was free parking as promised. Did I mention the views?
Cons: Pillows - I prefer mine a little firmer but am nitpicking.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: I had a wonderful, spacious room with a small balcony. The view was gorgeous. The hotel is centrally located. The breakfast was excellent.
Cons: Though the hotel was overall very good, I suggest two things: - shower curtain in bathroom - soap dispenser instead of these little pouches which are hard to open and produce unnecessary waste.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely decor, very alpine. Dinner was excellent, brilliant dessert. Comfy bed and warm room with great view over mountains.
Cons: Sadly one night one room was having a loud party. Not the fault of hotel as it was stopped.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is run by an incredibly hard working family who go out of their way to ensure you enjoy your stay at their amazing hotel in this beautiful, picturesque town.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were very comfortable and clean, hotel was quiet, perfect as somewhere to put your head down after skiing!
Cons: It was dated, but all functional!

The property features a spacious living room with a large wood stove and free WiFi access. Each room includes a wardrobe and a private bathroom with a bath and shower and a hairdryer. Châtel Ski Resort is just 5 km away, and the ski slopes are at 1 km. You will find a choice of shops and restaurants around the property within the village centre.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The chalet is beautiful in a traditional style which we loved, the living room is amazing with a stunning fireplace. The rooms were big and very clean, the doors on to the balcony/hot tub is a plus. The bathroom was also a good size, great pressure in the shower. Great breakfast. The host and her gorgeous dog Max were very welcoming, kind and accommodating! The village where the chalet is situated is charming and peaceful bearing in mind it was out of season.
Cons: Nothing!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Easy to find, very roomy and warm interior. The host was superb. Really good food and wine. Breakfast was excellent. Would recommend highly.
7.9 Good
Pros: Good dinner prepared by the owner. Was delicious and elegantly done (to be honest, we did not expected that in this region and from the chalet rather old style like this. It was a very pleasant surprise. The owner made sure that we can arrive safely sending us the direction in advance, otherwise we must have lost. We can imagine a very good atmosphere in winter seasons around the big chimney.
Cons: The picture of the chalet was a bit misleading (it is from the garden side, although we understand the reason why). We have to say, we were disappointed at the arrival which will be on the other side of the house, finding very different view. So, if you are visiting this property for the first time, we recommend you to just be prepared.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My daughter and myself enjoyed the chalet very much. It is very beautiful, cosy and comfortable. The location was also ideal to discover the valley, we went for kilometres of walk every day. Cities, such as Evian, or the Lac Leman is close by car. So this was a good option for a rainy day. We recommend it absolutely!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The proprietress, an Englishwoman, is warm, welcoming, and extremely helpful. The common room is superb.
Cons: It's hard to tell it's a hotel from the street, and we were unsure whether we'd found the right place, despite assurances from the tourist office. Ring the bell: you'll appreciate the welcome!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great location (walking distance from ski lifts and ski school); good breakfast with bacon, eggs, warm croissants; friendly staff (including Max!); comfortable bed; spacious room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: As soon as we entered the chalet we knew that a great holiday was ahead of us. The welcome, the bedroom, the food all first class. We will be recommending the chalet and the host to friends. See you again Christine and of course Max. James and Abigail.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Warm welcome, centrally located. Lovely comfy room and generous breakfast.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The proprietor was outgoing, friendly, helpful, and fluent in French and English (her native language). The salon is spectacular. Unfortunately we had to resume our hike very early in the morning and missed breakfast. :(
Cons: To us the hotel was so unassuming from the street that we were sure we had the wrong place. There was a small sign saying Ferme du château so of course we should have simply pressed the bell...

Pros: We really enjoyed the meals at the hotel and the convenience of the location. They have a great wine selection and have a cool bar to hang out in before/after dinner.
Cons: The rooms tend to be on the smaller side (for American standards)

Pros: The food was typically French and very good. Staff couldn’t have been more friendly and the whole experience was very relaxed. Didn’t know they had a pool and wish it was made clearer on booking.com form. The bus service into the centre was excellent and as a base for skiing, the hotel was a very good location.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great stay at Le Grand Ermitage, with the beautiful view all over the sunny Chatel valley. The cleanliness of the apartment was 10/10 and the always smiling receptionist Adèle was just an icing on the cake, always there to help and answer our numerous questions.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The Pool and Steam room facilities were a great bonus on rainy days. Easy to park your car for free around the property in the summer months. Not to far from shops and restaurants, easy walking distance.
Cons: There was no oven in the apartment only a microwave, I would have preferred an oven. The sofa bed sofa is not comfortable as a sofa. The mattress in the bedrooms were very firm, they are good - if you like a firm mattress!

Pros: Location and view were very good and big balcony and actual interior space was good.
Cons: No lighting in Kitchen area. No free use of internet in apartment. Cutlery could have been cheaper? It was bad. Shower was awful as not thermostatically controlled so was running too hot then too cold. 2 single mattresses kept drifting apart. No tea towels to dry dishes. No wash up liquid. No dishwasher tabs. No appliance instructions in English or Dutch or German or ?? Had to ask how to get the fridge to work.

7.9 Good
Pros: The staff was super nice, the hotel has a distinct family-run atmosphere. Although some of the equipment and furniture is a bit on the simple or worn side, the room, bathroom and the rest of the hotel are impeccably clean.
Cons: The bathtub does not have a shower curtain - either you shower kneeling down or flood the bathroom. Internet access is a disaster - until 23h when most guest have gone to bed it cuts out every 5 minutes, requiring to login in new each time, truly painful.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good, buffet style, plenty to eat. Evening meals of a high standard, lots of food.
Cons: Rooms a bit more basic than expected but satisfactory.
7.0 Good
Pros: The peaceful environmental and the good food and service of the staff especially of the chief woman of the hotel.

3.3 Mediocre
Pros: 4 nights 3 different rooms. 1st room smelt strongly of sewage. Moved begrudgingly to another room and was then made to move again because the second room had been booked by someone else. All rooms very basic. Not sure the second room has been cleaned prior to our occupation. Avoided the hotel throughout our stay. Told on check out that the second room was more expensive. I think the owner decided not to push this when he saw the look on my face!
Cons: Old fashioned, tired and dirty.
6.7 Good
Pros: Good central location
Cons: Room dark and tired.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very nice staff, good breakfast, nice bar too hang out in the evening, food in the restaurant also a decent standard. Second time staying here.
Cons: Bathroom and shower were quite small
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Close to centre Chatel
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was just enough and filled you up till lunch, the bed was very comfy and the staff were brilliant
Cons: the boot room could of been heated
7.5 Good
Pros: central, clean, comfortable. There is a small sauna, you need switch it on yourself but it heats up real fast
Cons: coffee at breakfast is, ahm, really bad. You would not believe you were in France. Even at a roadhouse in the US it would be better.
7.1 Good
Pros: Breakfast was good - eggs, ham, cheese, bread, croissants, and coffee/tea, fruit juice, yoghurt.
Cons: For some reason the hotel could not find our reservation via Booking.com but luckily they had a room available and were able to accommodate us.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: The location isn't too far a walk from the centre of town
Cons: Truly awful attitude from the man behind reception, who I think is the owner - rude, unhelpful & arrogant. Very bad wifi, dirty, cheap, badly equipped and then they took our payment without giving us the opportunity to pay on the card I wanted to which incurred unnecessary charges! When we arrived he arrogantly said our room wasn't ready - no 'sorry' or anything. So we went away and came back later. I should have known what our stay would be like just from that first encounter! No wifi in rooms - and painfully slow & intermittent wifi in the hallway by the door which is the only place I could get it. When I said to him that I couldn't get any wifi connection in our room and that the wifi in the hallway was impossibly slow, he said that his wifi was fine! No apology or effort to help. Reminded me of Basil Fawlty! Room service entered when we had put the 'do not come in' sign on the door and when I had told the man behind reception that my husband was ill - I mentioned this to the man and he got angry and said a sarcastic 'bye bye' and told me we could leave any time we want! Dirty old carpet in room. 2 light bulbs out. No bath plug. Only 2 electric sockets in a room designed for 4 people. No hooks to hang coats & only one high shelf for entire family to put their things on. A loo lid that caves in when you sit on it - and I am only 8 stone! Car parking as long as no-one else has parked in it - only about 5 spaces available for whole hotel. Radiators that don't keep the room that warm. This man does not make any effort to deserve your money!
6.3 Good
Pros: Comfy bed
Cons: No lights in bedroom, shower didn’t work and head was broken.
