Pros: Maureen was very efficient (and nice)! Check in was speedy but professional. She even gave me a quick run through of features/buttons on my car (as a NYer, I don't drive that often and having driven Hondas for most of my life, it took me a little while to figure out where everything was on my rental Chevy.)
Cons: This National is located in a hotel, and the check in/check out desk was a little hard to find. I ended up following signage up to the 8th floor parking deck at first. Luckily, I ran into Maureen on the way and she brought me back to the desk (down a hallway to the left of the lobby). Other issue was getting the car out of the deck. The deck is a paid parking deck that services the hotel as well, and apparently they don't have a system in place for handling the rental cars. When driving out, deck attendants told me I should have grabbed a ticket at the deck first, checked out my car, and THEN paid for parking on the way out?!? Made no sense, and I had to wait at the gate for 5 minutes while they verified my information.

One Way Rental
Pros: The service was good and it was nice to have a larger vehicle although I would have preferred to have had the car the we reserved ready and waiting. We were upgraded because the car we'd reserved wasn't available at pick-up so it probably cost me more in gas than I would have liked. The agents on site were very professional and friendly.
Cons: I didn't dislike anything about this experience other than it would be really nice if locations in Manhattan offered one-way rentals. It's a pain in the neck to have to coordinate getting to Jersey City to be able to find this rental option. One way drop off charges seem high to me given that I can't imagine there is any issue with cars being rent-able on the other end or that enough cars don't show back up in the NYC area.
