Set on a 1-hectare park, Mas du Trezon is 6 km from the centre of Cholet and 9 km from the A87 motorway. It offers free Wi-Fi access, a terrace and a living area with a pool table and a chandelier. With an antique-style décor, the individually decorated rooms feature antique-style furniture and a seating area. The private bathroom is complete with a bath. Guests are invited to enjoy breakfast every morning at Mas du Trezon. A restaurant can be found a 15-minute walk away. This B&B is set by the Ribou Lake, where guests can go kayaking, canoeing and fishing. Horse rides can also be organised and free private parking is available on site.

Pros: It is a beautiful location, with the accommodation being almost half of a fascinating property. The host was very charming and accommodating as well as professional. Breakfast was superb and generous.
Cons: This is not a criticism of the property itself, but it was a shame that the nearest restaurant wasn't open on a Wednesday evening.

Pros: Stunning property in an amazing location. We had a superb suite split over two floors with balcony and a huge terrace and garden with views over lake. Bedrooms, en suite and toilets were of the highest quality. Lots of private areas to relax and play pool. Hosts very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was superb. Great choice of fresh food, including apple juice made on the property. Everything was perfect. Great value for money location. Lovely restaurant nearby on shores of lake

Pros: Excellent hotel right in the center of the old city. Nice clean rooms, good breakfast. Parking belongs to the city, but is really not expensive, we paid less than 2 Euro for 24 hours.
Cons: It was difficult to find an open restaurant on Sunday. Thanks for the hotel staff who directed us to the nearby burger restaurant which was open.

Pros: the staff were very obliging and helpful as we were very stressed as our brand new BMW could not be fixed by them over 3 weeks while we were in france. it is still in la Rochelle and we were being shovelled around like gypsies by BMW Assistance!

Pros: The staff really make this hotel a great place to stay. They were very welcoming, friendly and very helpful. They arranged a taxi service for us and did a fantastic job. Nothing was too much bother for them. The room was lovely too, very clean and spacious. The hotel is located in the centre of Cholet with easy access to shops & cafe’s. We will definitely stay here again!

Pros: The breakfast was the weakest part of my stay. Everything on display was of the highest quality but very minor thinks like keeping everything topped up could have been better. The egg boiling machine was Luke warm so did not boil eggs and cereal bowls/spoons were behind the cereal so not visible. Hot water for tea was cold. Staff very good and as i said superb quality products just let down by minor details.

La Godinière is located on the ring road around Cholet, 4.8 km from Le Pontreau Airport and a 25-minute drive from Puy du Fou Theme Park. Located 60 km from Nantes and 67 km from Angers, La Godinière can provide you with a convenient stop over.

Pros: For a one-night stop en route to the ferry, this stop was first class, though we had not realised that it was a popular overnight stop of long distance truck drivers. However, this did not in any way affect the excellence of this accommodation. The room was spacious, very comfortable bed and it was an air-conditioned room; no noise from departing trucks. Even better was the very good restaurant meal - three courses including help-yourself buffet for first course - all for 11.5 euros. We would definitely stay there again, and possibly for two or three nights to explore the local area.

Pros: Booked this hotel for a stop over, the room we had was one of the little chalet like rooms, very modern and spotlessly clean. The three course evening meal for 11 euros 20 was amazing, I would have paid that for the first course buffet alone. Pros: We arrived saturday evening about 1930 and reasonably expected to eat at the hotel but the restaurant was closed. We were told the restaurant is never open on a saturday evening. Why were we not told this at the time of the booking. Surely if IBIS STYLES is supposed to be a quality hotel it should have restaurant facilities on a saturday. Outside the hotel is a large sign claiming they have a restaurant so we feel cheated. Please comment.

Ideally located 35 mins from Nantes, Angers and La Roche sur Yon, the Ibis hotel is 5 mins from Cholet town center and 45 mins from Nantes-Atlantique airport. Puy du Fou theme park is only 20 mins away by car. The hotel has 59 air-conditioned rooms includ ing 40 refurbished "Coquelicot" rooms, 2 conference rooms, free private car park, independent restaurant, 24-hour bar with snacks, free Wi-Fi internet access for hotel guests.

Pros: my room was immaculate -- clean, fresh and cosy. I stayed in a double-bed room. The room was spacious and bright with a sweet view of a part of the city leading up to a gorgeous gothic basilica. The staff are helpful and accommodating. The location rocks--- very centre of Cholet + if you are a Catholic traveller the cathedral is RIGHT outside your door with a few daily Masses and Sunday Mass of course. All in all, my stay was a 10/10, would totally recommend to a friend!

Cons: There was a problem with the booking information reaching the Ibis Budget in Cholet. I received the booking confirmation by email which I showed to the reception but they had no record of the booking. There was at least 2.5 hours between booking and reaching the hotel. This caused a huge delay for us and it was at least an hour before we were able to check in still without the reception having received the booking confirmation from booking.com. This was very upsetting as we had been travelling all day and have never encountered this before. I believe this was a fault with booking.com technical services and would like an apology and explanation.

Fish of the day 'cabillaud' I think was not cod - but it was good. It's a positive comment. I am bilingual and spoke French throughout so no misunderstandings re language!
Cons: Walls in rooms too thin. Woken up by next door before 6am when I was hoping for a lie-in! At least 2 errors in hotel info : every nights > every night (every + singular) and air dryer available > 'hair dryer'. Am a translator and language teacher!! Lol!!! Could check English version or translate for a fee!

Pros: The hotel staff, decor and room were perfect. It was tastefully decorated, making a very pleasant change to the utilitarian F1 and Premiere Classe
Cons: The location, in the industrial edge of Cholet wasn't very picturesque and meant a 20 minute walk to the centre of town. However, this was reflected in the price, and an added bonus was that the route in to town took us through a pretty and vibrant park.

Cons: Receptionist on booking in was casual and failed to brief us on key things like the wifi, and failed to set up our room for wifi correctly.

Pros: Cheap place to stay with easy check in/out. Clean room with comfy bed and just enough for what you need for a late overnight stop. Think the idea of this place is brilliant and lots of people using.
Cons: Shared toilets although we were expecting this, we just didn't like it. Quite noisy with people frequently slamming doors and running up and down corridor.
