Best Collias hotelsShow all
Pros: A beautiful peaceful place to stay. Hosts welcoming and friendly but not intrusive. Excellent location - a couple of restaurants and small shops in the village; Nimes, Avignon and the Pont du Gard not far away. Room was spacious, comfortable and clean.
Cons: Take insect repellent - we had lots of mosquito bites (not the fault of the property,. obviously!). Our bathroom was quite open plan -worth being aware of if you're travelling with a friend or relative rather than a partner.
Pros: lovely B & B near Pont du Gard - quiet small town - host was lovely
Pros: Maison de Leonie is heaven on earth - I only wish we had a few more nights there, since it was one of the best places we have stayed in during our trip. The estate is located in a small village named Collias, which is very close to Uzes, Pont du Gard and many other touristic attractions. The place is very easy to find, and from the moment the gate opens you are surrounded by beauty, nature, water and charm. The house itself is beautiful, very old but has been renovated completely. The yard is beautiful, full of trees, flowers and etc. The host was a very charming French woman, who welcomed us cheerfully. She spoke a little English, and together with my French we were able to communicate. She showed us to our room, which was even prettier than in the pictures. It was huge, nicely decorated, very clean and very indulging. We have decided to have dinner at our host's Table D'hote, and it was a perfect choice. We had a three course meal with wine, and it was very very good. They even offered us 2 glasses of champagne for our honeymoon, which was very thoughtful. It was great to come upstairs afterwards, no need in driving or navigating. In the morning we had a very lovely breakfast, which had pastries, jams, crepes, soft-boiled eggs, cheese and coffee. Everything we needed and more. Our host urged us to go and visit Uzes - which at first wasn't on our itinerary - but was eventually one of the most charming and beautiful villages we have visited. Overall, a fabulous experience, I can't wait to go back already.

Cons: Meal was a bit too expensive, though the quality was, undeniably, very good.
Pros: Restaurant area & food, comfortable bed, beautiful place
Cons: Toilets (partially open to the bedroom/not fully separated from bedroom/no privacy), hammam not included in price
Pros: Good beds and pleasant terrace. Good secure parking
Cons: Mix up about room and floor booked but did get upgraded.however 2 mistakes on final bill in hotel’s favour, one rectified before departure, the other seen only after departure. Shower head fixture broken and gurgling toilet all night. Biggest disappointment was food: very limited menu and food was ok but nothing special for the price
Pros: It was peaceful and the baker down the road sold great almond and chocolate croissants for breakfast.
Cons: There was no wash basin in the lavatory, you had to walk from from the lavatory to the other end of the room to get to the basin; not very hygenic! The food was good, if not a little expensive for what you got, but the menu was very limited, especially if you did not like mashed potato.

Cons: The owner wasn’t particularly welcoming or friendly throughout the stay (discussed it with other guests who felt the same)
Pros: We liked everything only wish we had stayed more then one night. The owners are SO NICE. The breakfast was amazing and wish we would could have had dinner there. The rooms are roomy and comfortable and decorated so tastefully. We had a two bedroom on the top floor. It was summer and hot that day but the fans were adequate. They also have screens in the windows to keep the insects out. The pool was very nice and we especially enjoyed the company of their cat that stretched out and napped on the lounge chair next to us. You can tell how much the owners take pride in their home.
