Room is clean. Staff's also good..
Rooms are spacious and okay.
A lot of things: 1. The head chef was apparently the manager of the hotel too. Didn’t have any knowledge about CRM. 2. Property doesn’t mention that they do not have a license for alcohol, our gift bottles were seized upon arrival at the reception in front of a lobby full of guests. 3. One of our rooms smelled like feet just off socks. 4. No minibar in the room but a minibar menu. 5. One room had broken furniture. 6. No provision of tea/coffee in the room so had to order from restaurant. Was sent chipped cups and broken kettle. 7. We had a guest visitor who’s ID was scanned and then told that they don’t allow guests after 9pm so we would have to meet him somewhere outside. Eventually we had to come down, talk to them for 10 minutes that they never mentioned this during checkin or that it wasn’t in the terms and conditions. “MOD” pointed at some random note asking guests to inform reception before using balcony in their rooms (which is weird on its own) and said it’s mentioned there, “we are doing it for your safety”. Our guest was allowed eventually after we had shouted at them pointing their fault. 8. Cherry on top: guests for the next day had arrived by 11am whereas check in was at 2pm. We were asked to empty the rooms ASAP at 11am, which is also their checkout time that they don’t mention during check in. 9. Finally, the room rate was higher than the rate on booking.com. Upon asking why, they said it’s a fixed number given on the site and prices vary everyday, I’d have to pay the regular charge for that day apparently.
The breakfast was good
Location and staff were good.
Complimentary breakfast was amazing. Mizan (waiter) served us really well with food and drinks. Very polite and friendly staff in the restaurant. Minto (receptionist) and Hasan (housekeeping man) showed me the room first before I checked in. Thank you for your wonderful service.
Security guard was a bit unprofessional to my grandfather’s brother (Nana). Security guard wouldn’t let him into the hotel because he wears lungi (traditional Bangladeshi sarong). Nana was upset by security guard’s comment, then later allowed him to enter into the hotel. Really disappointed with this kind of behaviour from the security staff in your hotel. I guess this needs to be addressed to improve your customer service.
