we didn't even get to stay due to the staff. I used my card to secure booking and to pay cash on arrival , I also rang the hotel before leaving and they said it was fine to do so just to bring the card used which I did. when I got to the hotel the receptionist who I had been on the phone to completely denied telling me it was OK to pay cash that their policy is you must have a credit card . so she lied straight to my face because 4 other colleagues were watching and listening she then walked away from me in the middle of explaining trying to sort the situation out . I was spoken to like a dog and her attitude was appalling I then asked for the manager and explained how I was treated and still continued to solve the situation she also spoke to me like a dog so I turned on my heel and left . I have never felt more humiliated in my life staff could really do with a communication course . I then left and stayed in the maldon Newlands hotel unexpectedly explained what had happened and they were so kind and helpful . I really enjoyed my stay in the maldon spotless rooms the staff couldn't do enough and the atmosphere was great.
everything was nice . start with check-in to check-out. rooms are good size, clean and bed wear very good. breakfast was nice, worm, busy morning but well organized. would be nice if they have some croissant and selection of danish pastry on breakfast. breakfast chef and service staff was helpful.
check out time was 11 am. it should be 12 am for checkout as other standard hotels .

Nothing. Avoid this hotel.
Carpets were soiled (stains and debris), bed was broken, the room doubled as a conference room and had recently been converted for our stay (sign still on the door), next door neighbors were smoking and our room smelled of smoke, building is tired, staff did basically nothing to resolve complaints.
