Our room was beautiful and clean and the common areas in the house are spacious. The house feels new but heritage in style and offers a great ambiance. This is a great location for a visit to the Islands Folk Festival as well as everything else the Cowichan Valley has to offer. Beautiful views of Mount Tzouhalem, and its hiking trails are close by.
Everything! It was a beautiful spotless house. We were allowed access to the house And use all the facilities! Host made us feel like family! We would love to return. Dave should is a Super Host!!!!
Only that it wasn’t in Victoria But Duncan was a cute town to explore.
Spacious clean and comfortable suite. Common areas are decorated with loads of activities to make things comfortable and entertaining including pool table and books about the local region. Both suite and common areas are stocked with ample amenities.
I wish I could have stayed longer
Owner was friendly the the place was beautiful! Beds were comfortable and it truly had a feeling of “home”. We would absolutely come back!
Nothing at all!
This is not a B&B - so no breakfast was prepared. But, our host Dave left some fresh goodies in the fridge, and you could have made a pretty nice breakfast for yourself if you wanted to.
The only thing (THE ONLY THING) that I would quibble about was the fact that the lighting in my bedroom had only 1 option - ambient, low intensity. Sounds nice right? But when you're working, you need a place (often at a dark time of day) when you need to crank-up the lighting to get work done. You also need a bright light option when you're packing (often early or late) to get out and make your travel itinerary on time. Again - that's a small thing. When my associate and I were there, we had the whole house to ourselves, so we could improvise work space locations. All-in, it was a pleasure staying there.
