Pros:Economy Car Rental didn't allow me to rent the vehicle. My license was expired by 42 days due to the DMV in Texas being closed from COVID-19. Renewing my license was/is physically impossible to my knowledge. I provided a current passport as an alternative form of identification. Alas, to no avail.

Cons:Be more empathetic of the customers situation. "A prepaid customer (Me) has an expired license and couldn't renew it due to the DMV offices being closed during COVID-19. This person (Me) is scheduled to meet with clients while relying on the rental car for on-time transportation. The car won't be released to the prepaid client (me). Rescheduling ensues for myself, my clients and their clients because I am now late." An incredibly rough spot to be forced into during a pandemic. You had my money and wouldn't release the vehicle. Then you wouldn't even refund my money. I took an Uber to my Turo.com car rental that morning. If my small business was structured with these unethical values, I wouldn't have a company. Expecting any type of accountability from Kayak or Economy Car rental is obviously a 0% chance. Whoever you are reading this: Start your own company. Rental car corporations are the new Blockbuster, Turo.com will surpass them. Have a wonderful DAY!!!!!

Pros:Nothing about this experience was pleasant.

Cons:They have no idea how to provide customer service. Awful experience from end to end. Charged me the taxes and fees for an upgrade that I only needed because they didn't have the vehicle I reserved. Moved locations with no notification so I had to arrange another shuttle after taking the shuttle to the rental car facility. Couldn't get a hold of them to get a shuttle so I waited on the phone for 30 minutes trying to connect with someone who could help me. Never, ever rent from this company unless you want to experience an adventure just to get your vehicle.

Pros:Only thing they got right was have the right vehicle for me. (They didn’t have a single available vehicle my second reservation and I booked it over 2 weeks in advanced)

Cons:Pickup was horrible. The company is a complete joke. Everyone in the lobby was laughing at how ridiculous some of the fees and excuses. Check your gas, check every single scratch and dent because they will find a way to over charge you. Have your own insurance? It’ll cost just to transfer it. The vehicle we rented was dirty to begin with and had a broken seat so when going to move the item we rented it for, we could not move it. They wouldn’t give a discount or anything after we specially rented a van to move an item in another city. Will not rent from here again.

Pros:The line at pick up was very short compared to payless car rental. So got service very quickly (the service was of very poor quality...see below). The person showing us to the car on level 3 was very friendly and efficient). The cost of rental was low ($117 for 5 days).

Cons:The lady who gave us service at the desk was horrible. Her name is Pamela (with a Puerto Rican or Mexican accent) and she is working at the San Diego airport location. The first thing she tried to do was to have us take a car of higher value as soon as we approached her. She said it is better to take an SUV than a midsize car. Then she said it is mandatory that we pay for insurance regardless of what we chose to do. We called our insurance company while there to give her proof that we have coverage from them. After these attempts were unsuccessful, she tried to convince us to buy a card for toll bridges and roads saying that there are tons of them in San Diego and that we will have to pay large fines for every unpaid toll fee. We did not take that option either given her low credibility up to that point. Needless to say, we didn't encounter any toll roads or bridges during our entire stay and we drove to all the major attractions of the area. So...beware of Pamela. She is the worst agent with the worst attitude toward service of clients. She was obnoxious, unkind and unpleasant to work with.

Pros:We cancelled the rental car. They wants $284.00 US for Insurance and a $4,500.00 deposit. It is not on Cancun Airport property a 15 min cab ride.

Pros:The staff was very inhospitable. I was rudely ordered to provide information like an insurance card and for a three day rental amounting to $38 I was charged a hold of $1000 on my credit card.

Cons:Staff could have been nicer as and considerate if the circumstances surrounding necessary travel. I felt like the agent who checked me in was hostile and unaccomodating

Cons:Having to provide proof of insurance was inconvenient. I also brought my EZ pass from home after researching that it would work in Florida. I went through one 1.00 toll and the EZ pass didn't work. The rental company charged an additional 20.00 on top of the 1.00 toll. There is no reason for this charge.
