Pros: Really nice little cosy hotel just next to Elze railway station. I went to Mera Luna festival with my friend and we stayed here 3 nights. Very kind and professional staff and we had our own terrace that was more than what we were expecting. Vielen Dank!
Cons: First we had little problems with the door lock (opening the door took some practice at first) but it started to get better during our stay :)
Pros: The newly refurbished rooms are a treat and very comfortable with modern facilities such as usb charger integrated. The breakfast was typical german and decent.
Pros: For a traditional Hotel in rural Germany I expected it to be oldfashioned and even somehow outdated. To my surprise the owners have added a wing with a modern concept! New and modern decoration and very clean lines with very confortable furniture, that resemble more the furniture in American hotes! The Boxspring bed was marvelous, as was the bathroom. Each room had an independent accesss, so we needn't walk through the whole building to get there. Breakfast was superb and even made to order! And the owners were very nice and efficient, even the senior mother, who took care of us at check-in! Everybody was very friendly and helpful with directions too! Hotel is located next to the train station, but we never heard trains passing by or felt the rumbling of them. Convenient location because, even if a bit off the main street, we just had to wheel our luggage across the street from the train staion and could explore the little town without the luggage!
Cons: Nothing! The only thing I would recommend is maybe a covered connection between the original building and the new wing to get to breakfast without getting wet.
Pros: Breakfast was OK
Cons: The rooms are like a cheap American motel, all ground floor, all with windows only on one side, which happens to be the West side so sun was streaming in and heating it up if you opened a curtain or left the door open. It was a warm night and of course there could be no cross-breeze. To get any adequate amount of air, you had to leave the window and/or the door wide open, which is crazy, anyone could walk or climb right in. On top of that, there are bright lights in front of each unit. If you leave the window and curtain open, you will be able to read in bed without any other lights. The train noise is probably not too bad in winter when you have the window shut, but you definitely hear the trains when the window is open. Because of the inadequate ventilation and the unsafe situation created by the need to leave the ground-floor window open for even minimal air, we will not return.
Pros: The staff was extremely courteous and helpful, as well as the facilities were OUTSTANDING, as well as the location...only feet away from the Bahnhof/train station, a +...GREAT!
Cons: NOT A THING!
Pros: Helpful staff. Good breakfast. Clean and nice rooms. Perfect place if you are staying just for one or two nights.

Pros: Great hosts. We enjoyed talking with the owners and the restaurant is amazing!
Pros: Bad experience. Nothing really to like about this hotel.
Cons: Worst hotel experience for years. Arrived at 19.30, rang the bell five times before my wife spotted a note in the window with a phone number. I called it. They knew I was Herr Downs, so they'd been expecting us, but still hadn't bothered to turn up at their hotel to let us in. They made us wait for them another five or ten mins until they arrived by car. I explained we had been on the road for four hours from Bonn and would need some dinner (I speak some German - they speak no English at all). Their small dining-room was deserted so I asked for just some sandwiches. The girl there said 'no problem'but was later corrected by the manager fellow, a man with an expression like a block of wood, who looked at me as if I were mad, then explained it was 'Ruhetag'(Quiet Day),therefore, he said, no restaurants, nothing would be open. Like their restaurant. It was Monday, not Sunday. I've lived and worked in Germany and never heard such nonsense. Perhaps it's only in Saxony or Brandenburg where they can't be bothered. As to our sandwiches he said it was ''ímpossible'' (unmoglich). The girl then directed us to the local supermarket. So our dinner, after a horrendous day on the Autobahn, was packets of ham and cheese eaten in our room with no cutlery or basic eating facilities - the manager could not have cared less. I was offered no help with our bags to our room, and told to park 30m away round a corner in the back in their car park. The room was large but overlooked the only traffic circle in town so we had motorbikes and buses going by during the night. The bed-linen was atrocious and revolting, a type of strange draylon or upholstery fabric that fretted like sharkskin against your hand. For 145 Euros I expected a decent little place with at least friendly staff and a bit of a welcome.
