Cons: Bar was shut by 12!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic digs, clean, tastefully decorated, lovely staff and amazing choice of breakfast. Also loved the evening meal. I will be back!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Extremely clean, well appointed, well furnished and superb location. Staff were very friendly throughout, from first reception and stay. Restaurant food very good also.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast, "real" bacon with the full English. tasty bread for toasting. All excellent.
Cons: " drainy" smell from our sink. A long delay before hot water arrived at the sink. Shower was fine but a "grab rail" is essential for us oldies.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Just perfect!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were polite and helpful, rooms very clean and comfortable and lovely and quiet. We will definitely stay again, oh the breakfast was fabulous.
Cons: Nothing so that means we will come back again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were friendly and very welcoming. 100% stay again!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Room was comfortable and equipped with everything that was needed! The staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: The water temperature was a little strange when showering! Also there was a fine line between the bath and shower controls.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was very good and was freshly cooked, which is always nice. The seating area was also quote relaxed. We asked for extra tea to be provided and it wasn't an issue. We also had food the night before and we were all happy with our meals and the service we received was very good.
Cons: Nothing- it was all good.I would definitely book again- nice well run place that also had a nice community feel with regular customers. It may also have been a family owned/run establishment, which is always nice as the service is a bit more personal than may otherwise be the case. All and all a nice relaxing place to stay, that I would certainly recommend to others.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quiet location, Excellent service, top quality rooms, excellent restaurant, off street parking, close to shops and station

Pros: Good location and great breakfast with quick check in and out procedures
Cons: The shower could have been warmer
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Restaurant staff lovely
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was amazing. The location was great The bed was very comfortable. The room was quiet, despite being so close to the airport runways.
Cons: We dont like a duvet on the bed, but would prefer the good old fashioned sheet and blanket, as the duvet becomes too hot and heavy during the night.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Breakfast and dinner menu not up to the standard.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Bed, location.
Cons: I wanted to prepay the booking so that the other person using the room did not have to pay on check in. This proved impossible as I did not book directly with them. I added another name to the room and they had to pay on arrival once they finally found the booking, which apparently wasn't there and took some time. When I checked in many hours later they could not find the booking and told me that I had cancelled it, despite the other person already being there. I think that for direct bookings they are using the app rather than train staff. The room was comfortable and breakfast was ok. Great price for a great location. Staff , hmm.
4.6 Okay
Cons: Not being told parking charges and rude staff
6.7 Good
Pros: Location and nearness to T4 is very good
Cons: The staff at the reception was very rude and not helpful. They gave us a feeling like we were a bother when we asked for directions to go to Windsor castle.
7.1 Good
Cons: Could not connect to free wifi
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All staff were fantastic
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great value for the money. Great customer service. Great Breakfast and great dinner. The ribeye was awesome. Get the meal deal. Convenient to Terminal 4.
Cons: 3.5 miles from terminal 5 to terminal 4. Couldn’t figure out how to take the express train to terminal 4 so ended up taking a cab
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very efficient check in and check out. My wife left her wallet in the restaurant and found it afterwards with the staff's help.
Cons: Can't think of any.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location was very good as I was travelling with my 8 year old grandson and his mother who were flying back to Brisbane. They had 2 big suitcases besides hand luggage so the fact they could use a trolly from the Airport to our room and use it the following morning back into Terminal 4 was a great help. My grandson was bursting with excitement as our room overlooked the runway so he could give us a running commentary. Thanks

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good, staff helpful
7.5 Good
Pros: The welcome we received and upgrading was delightful.
Cons: The noise from the road was bad and as it's a very old building treble glazing would be difficult. Breakfast table could have been better organised.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable room.
Cons: Breakfast service was friendly but slow and inattentive.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely welcoming stay would highly recommend
8.0 Excellent
Pros: A lot of choices.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, free parking, spotlessly clean.
Cons: Breakfast a bit mean - fruit salad tiny. Good in restaurant way over priced. £23.00 for a small, average tasting steak, one mushroom, one half of tomato and a handful of chips cooked in stale oil! So many better places to eat nearby.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location, the atmosphere, the value for money.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful welcome from the staff who made every effort to make sure our stay was amazing. Room was perfect with everything we needed. Breakfast had a great choice and gave us a great start to the day, served by staff who were helpful and cheerful (even though they were working a bank holiday). Would highly recommend, fantastic experience. We hope to return. Thank you
Cons: Nothing
6.7 Good
Pros: Great breakfast, room Big and comfortable, lovely pub with outside area
Cons: Our room was hot, we stay there on the hot day of the year. We were unable at first to open the window. The hotel part is unmaned so no other staff knew how. Lucky my husband manage to open it. Otherwise there was no way we would of stayed! Parking is small-wasnt told or mention to reserve a space before
7.9 Good
Pros: The shower facilities were excellent, and the room was sound-proofed from the busy bar below. Breakfast - good choice but mediocre service. Staff arranged for us to park next to the hotel, and also made complimentary coffee when there was no coffee (and no black tea) in the bedroom
Cons: It was impossible to open any windows. The room contained a machine to blow heating or cool air as required. Without a stream of air, the stuffiness would have prevented our sleeping - but we had to get used to the noise of the fan, and the controls for this machine were difficult to use.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Lovely little place a gem everything from the room to the pub and food was excellent.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfasts was amazing! The overall atmosphere was great, the rooms were really cosy and clean. The staff were so friendly. Can’t wait to stay here again
5.8 Okay
Pros: Big bed, big room
Cons: The blinds were broken so we had no natural light. The toilet had not been cleaned and was very dirty. Food was poor and missing some of the items described on the menu
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Staff were superb and a real credit, they obviously love their job.
Cons: Nothing it was all spot on!

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable beds, spacious bathroom with plenty of storage and a chair. Excellent breakfast and service.
Cons: Toilet roll holder located too far from the toilet (Atillia). Height of the bedroom door Yale lock and the key was difficult at times to remove. The poor explanation/justification for the credit card £50 .
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location was great right by the river. The decor inside was lovely and cozy.
Cons: The staff didn’t provide us with info about the hotel on check in and it was only through my own research I knew about it. They seemed not fussed about us being there or not.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely position on the river. Didn't realise we needed to book a parking space We arrived before check in and left our over night bag at reception and was disappointed that it was not taken to our room
Cons: Didn't realise we needed to book a parking space We arrived before check in and left our over night bag at reception and was disappointed that it was not taken to our room Service charge added on drinks so they were quite expensive

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, great staff , lovely place , will definitely return Overall our stay was amazing

Cons: Very nice garden
7.5 Good
Pros: Excellent location - handy for town but suitably quiet Lovely outlook across gardens and river. Attractive décor in room and public areas and very clean.
Cons: Restaurant poor value. Breakfast (continental) was overpriced and not well stocked - even relatively early no croissants available and would have been 15 minute delay to acquire more..!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent quality and choice.
Cons: In room internet and digital radio were not working, and television was only partially working.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The setting and the location
Cons: The heating was on and couldn’t be switched off
7.5 Good
Pros: the staff on the desk was very helpful from showing me to my room to getting me a taxi to travel in to the centre of London the breakfast was good and had a wide range for you to choose from the staff
Cons: i stayed in a queens size room and found it very small and was all the way over the other side of the hotel in a different building did not feel as grand as the main hotel but it was ok
6.7 Good
Pros: Superb location right beside the river offering lovely walks along the towpath. Quiet location despite proximity to Heathrow.
Cons: Children were allowed to run about, make noise and disturb others without any restriction it seemed in public areas. One of the conservatories was designated 16 and over but that didn't make much difference as noise from other conservatory just across the landing travelled throughout the glass building. Appreciate now that the Lensbury is far more of a members club than a hotel. Guests of the hotel only should bear this in mind.
6.3 Good
Pros: Gym facilities, location
Cons: Being in the annex away from the eating and bar areas.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff were beyond helpful
Cons: Nothing it was exactly what I was looking for
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location for me as going into Wimbledon each day, friendly polite staff great facilities the spa was fab...
Cons: Parking a bit of a pain.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Close to London on the river Lovely hotel for our 30th Wedding Anniversary celebrations Lovely room overlooking the Thames with the boats going passed
Cons: There was nothing not to like
7.1 Good
Pros: One room we were in was beautiful. The grounds were stunning.
Cons: The air con broke whilst it was 33degrees and there were no other family rooms. We were initially told it would be fixed in an hour - it wasn’t fixed within 24 hours. So we moved rooms - which impacted our plans & reason we were there. We had a family room yet in each room we were put into they only had 2 towels, 2 cups etc. Each tone we had to request a 3rd of things. The second room we were placed into was hugely disappointing compared the our original room. Unhappy also that our car was driven into whilst in the main car park. No note was left. The hotel refused to look at cctv for us after initially telling us they would look. I was very unhappy with the resolution to our issues.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location, cleanliness
Cons: Price
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, and world class spa
Cons: Nothing
7.9 Good
Pros: Beautiful location and river view Excellent spa Comfortable bed Nespresso machine Night manager. See below
Cons: Trainee staff was nervous and even the normal reception acted, at best, like a brusque and unfriendly airline check in. I was given a room without river view initially when I had paid for it I booked the Runnymede just, I underscore just? for that peaceful and lovely view which I will post here I was cross examined when I came back down, dead tired and irritable and the first reaction was that it must be the fault of booking .com and they did not offer to fix it. No one was pleasant or smiled. ...it unfortunately caused me to raise my voice for which I apologized This fortunately attracted the attention of the professional and charming night manager who sorted it out and gave me the room I had booked. It did take up 15 minutes of a a 24 hour holiday, but he recognized that. He offered me a nightcap and I asked for a midday check out instead if possible I got that and it’s been delicious Didn’t like the advice that guests were advised, that is asked, to change in the changing rooms and not in their rooms, and drag the bathrobes with them TV Very small and even smaller choice Though it says I Can control room temperature the air conditioning would not stop Towel rail unheated Asked for room to be cleaned (on door) whilst I was in spa So I could have a final nice hour with view. And fresh bath after pool with fresh bath wash Didn’t happen. So I Didn’t tip but that made me feel bad Couldn’t resist the lovely fat biscuits : ) in the room
6.5 Good
Pros: Awesome spa facilities, the whole place was clean.
Cons: The rooms were very hot and no way to control air conditioning. The staff at check in lacked any listening skills or emotional awareness. We requested english breakfast tea bags in the morning as the room had none and the porter delivered earl grey?! In too much of a rush to get to an event to chase. Hotel is right in Heathrow flight path so very noisy for most of the night when the window is open (as room to hot!)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very polite and facilitating. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend anyone to stay here.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I was completing in the Thames Path Ultra 100km challenge and had hiked 31 miles to get to Runnymede. I liked everything about the hotel from the great welcome I received at check in, the comfort and facilities of my room, and the friendliness of the bar and food service staff. I left in the early hours of the next morning completely refreshed. I totally recommend this hotel.
Cons: Nothing, it was all good !
7.5 Good
Pros: Modern, good spa. Nice seating along the river.
Cons: The Restaurant, The Lock, had average food. Good quality ingredients but didn’t come together well at all. Meal was quite tasteless.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We ate in one of the restaurants. The food was pleasant and good value. The room was nice.
Cons: This is the second time we have stayed and it is a nice hotel. Not a "you must stay there." but a perfectly pleasant hotel with friendly staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Charming staff
Cons: Choice of firmer pillow
7.1 Good
Pros: The setting was lovely
Cons: Rooms were small

Pros: Breakfast was good

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent hotel and facilities, staff were very welcoming and friendly to me and my son Frankie 5yrs old.
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location is great, the spa services are fantastic and really helped myself & my partner relax. Great wine list and fully stocked bar. The restaurant food is fantastic and a real treat to eat, huge compliments to the chef! We really like the ease of check in and access to the hotel facilities is great. The hotel layout and decor is lovely with great homage to the history and story of the building and land around it.
Cons: The restaurant staff could have been more attentive, the table lay out needs work as we were put in the corner and forgotten about.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Huge and comfortable bed!
Cons: Room service very expensive
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Bar and grill, shower and breakfast
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice, clean inviting room with very comfortable bed. The restaurant is fantastic, worth going to even if you don't stay at the hotel.
Cons: nothing wrong.
6.7 Good
Pros: It’s close location to Brooklands Car and Aero Museum.
7.5 Good
Pros: Room was clean and spacious.
Cons: No vegetables in the breakfast buffet.
7.1 Good
Pros: The rooms are spacious The breakfast is nice The hotel smells fresh
Cons: The urban hip hop / auto-tuned r&b vocal music blasting in the restaurant and on the terrace is terrible and irritating - the music choice is very poor for a 4-star luxury hotel. The hotel staff poked fun at my husband for asking to lower the noise. Admittedly, the manager was forthcoming and wrote an apology. The hotel clientèle is very different from the first time we came - the overall ambience is much less pleasant. The windows do not open so if you suffer from claustrophobia, be warned. Overall we were disappointed.

Featured amenities include a business center, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Sitting on the terrace with a bottle of wine and good service
Cons: Breakfast on Sunday morning was muddled (busy); too many staff with different roles attending each table
5.8 Okay
Cons: Portion was small and expensive. Having to pay £5 extra to have kippers was ridiculous. bed was uncomfortable and the room was very small for a hotel outside London at this price.
7.9 Good
Pros: The view and our room with French doors onto outside terrace/ Balcony.
Cons: Attitude of restaurant unable to book a table and made us feel unwelcome despite booking one of the most expensive rooms in the hotel. We had to go out in wild wind and torrential rain to eat!!! Restaurant appeared to have tables and was mainly full of people who were non residents. Very expensive service charges on two already wildly expensive gin and tonics service should be included for residents paying almost £300 per night!!!!
7.1 Good
Pros: The Receptionist got us a better room after complaint, the first room we were given on the 4th floor was too claustrophobic with poor views.
Cons: Our 2 night stay at the hotel was to celebrate our wedding anniversary but was spoilt simply because we could not dine in the hotel restaurant and had to instead settle for a panini in the lounge area. I understand we needed a reservation but were not aware. Surely the restaurant could have made some concession for just 2 people who just wanted to celebrate a special occasion.
7.1 Good
Pros: Beautiful
Cons: The service
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic if expensive hotel on the banks of the Thames. Fantastic views and a great location for both shopping and rugby. The restaurant has a good menu and the food is excellent.
Cons: Parking is a nightmare mainy due to the inability of the residents to park within the bays. A member of staff got around the issue of no parking spaces for us by parking our car for us once a proper location was available.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We love the location of this hotel and the rooms, albeit may need a little updating are comfortable, well appointed and the housekeeping is top notch.
Cons: The restaurant staff are miserable, (breakfast in particular) and the food is not up to par either. We do not eat dinner in the restaurant as it is expensive and does not meet our expectations for the money and during our recent stay won't have breakfast either in the future. The eggs are very poor and the sausage tastes of preservative.
7.1 Good
Pros: Location is great but when on business I don;t really want to have all the frills of an a la carte restaurant. I think the restaurant tries a little too hard. The level of service (same at dinner the previous evening) is over the top for the level of food provided. If I stay at the Petersham again I would walk into Richmond to eat in the evening and for breakfast in order to get a more relaxed / friendly atmosphere.
Cons: Food - it was OK but nowhere near as special as the restaurant service would lead you to believe. May be OK for ladies who lunch or take afternoon tea as it is all part of the atmosphere but for business people on their own who just need sustenance it is a little over the top. £43 for a glass of wine and two courses - in Richmond that would have bought me a tapas feast and a couple of drinks.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The service was excellent.
Cons: Being charged for breakfast wi h I didn't have.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely loved it! You can not fault this hotel. So grand and beautiful.

6.7 Good
Pros: The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Staff were friendly
Cons: Feel we could of been told about the party taking over the restaurant so we could of made reservations somewhere else. Was really looking forward to a nice meal after a long day to be greeted by a party when we arrived with no mention. We got blocked in by someone who was at the party so we couldn't go and find somewhere else to have a meal. Very disappointed.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: My visit was remarkable! The location close to the airport was unbeatable. The staff made you feel at home and was attentive to my every need. The restaurant located in the main building was very good as well as room service. The free breakfast was a God-send! The room itself had everything I needed for my 7 day stay. I would not hesitate to stay here again and would refer their lovely hotel to anyone. I give it 5 stars!

Pros: The first morning I was there had to wait a long time for the bacon to be replenished and it was quite greasy. Other than that there was a good selection of continental.
Cons: I was a single traveller and was not offered a single room but a double. So was charged the same rate as 2 people sharing the room. This made it quite expensive.

Pros: Hotel is a distinctive and attractive character building. The setting is very pleasant with majestic well maintained gardens. Large paved external areas offer plenty of space to sit outside on plenty of tables and chairs. Breakfast outside on the terrace enjoys the morning sun. Breakfast offers the usual mix of hot and cold selections. No complaints about the breakfast, in fact it was well presented and plentiful. Parking wasn't a problem with easy access to reception. Our room was in the attic space but there weren't any headroom issues. The room was a good size and comfortable. Bathroom had a large shower and was a good size too.
Cons: The property is starting to look a little 'tired'. Areas of worn carpets starting to show through. No lift to the upper floor kept us fit! Water pressure in the shower was adequate, but a little disappointing. Minor complaints and none spoilt our stay.

Pros: The setting for the hotel was beautiful, everything else was ordinary.
Cons: The room itself was average and in the annexe which I hadn't been informed of before arriving. It lacked any insulation and so could hear absolutely every sound from room above. Changed rooms at 1.00am to a single but that was even noisier so returned to original next day after having hardly any sleep. Bar food was mediocre and had to return chips as they were not cooked.

Cons: Some areas warn and slightly dated furniture, however fits with the building type
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was fantastic, catering staff in the restaurant were super friendly and helpful. The hotel has beautiful surroundings.
Cons: Bad showers, inconsistent hotel service. Our stay was slightly ruined by a bad incident... My poor mum struggled with the shower which had terrible water pressure - cold water blasted out, then when the hot water finally came on it was only a weak stream so she felt really cold and tried to get out but slipped badly in the bath as she was fumbling around and we had to get her to the hospital - reception NEVER answered the phone throughout that evening and the one staff member around wasn't helpful at all (he asked if my mum was drunk - she was NOT and it seemed really rude of him to ask that while not doing anything to help us) so we just dialed 999 ourselves and got the ambulance over. The next morning as we were returning to the hotel from hospital (spent the whole night waiting for the ambulance and at A&E), we needed our room changed to the ground floor as my mum could not walk up the stairs due to pain from her fractured ribs, so I rang reception multiple times to ask for a room to be prepared in advance but NO ONE picked up again. When we got to the hotel, thankfully Katherine at front desk was super helpful and apologetic about the situation after I explained everything, and she did her best to get us rooms on the ground floor and made sure my mum could rest in a vacant room while we waited for the rooms to be prepared. Thanks to Katherine she made our terrible experience better and we were able to enjoy the rest of our stay as much as possible while my mum tried to recuperate - if not for Katherine's professionalism and friendliness, I would have filed a formal complaint about how badly the hotel handled our accident, which was frankly caused by the terrible shower in the first place (the tap in my sink also sputtered out water so perhaps there's bad water pressure on all the rooms above ground level). Thank you Katherine, if only your colleagues were all as good as you!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: So quiet and spacious. Felt like we were in the country. Huge bathroom. Lovely outdoor bar and eating area
Cons: Slightly limited parking when a wedding reception is there.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is superb in an affluent area of Kingston, meaning it was quiet, easy to get to and peaceful. The burger I had for dinner was among the best I've ever had! Wifi was OK and the coffee machine in the room is a nice touch. The grounds are really nice and I was able to eat outside.
Cons: It was incredibly hot during my stay, so some aircon would have been greatly appreciated! Otherwise, I had no cause for complaint.

5.4 Okay
Pros: At the time of our stay there was no hot water available as a boiler was being replaced , we were not told about this until we complained. Nor was the air conditioning or the telephone in our room working. We were given a discount on our bill. The service in the restaurant was also terribly slow and the food was ok, but no more than ok.

Pros: As usual a good experience, good location for the racing. The breakfast was amazing. Freshly cooked so takes a bit of time - but well worth the wait. All of the staff are really friendly and nothing is too much trouble.
Cons: Could not see out of the window as had film over it. Felt like you were in a box.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Warm welcome from staff, spacious room, comfortable bed, blackout curtains plastic-free water, milk, coffee, sugar, toiletries. Wheat straws, and jars of speciality nuts served in pots rather than plastic. Nice atmosphere, good breakfast, fast and attentive service.
Cons: My room had a slight problem with damp, would have liked to see loose tea bags as well as other plastic-free items. Sitting outside on our second evening, we were a bit surprised by the number of people passing through the garden asking for a light etc. Might be worth closing off the back gate?
