Only 2 km from the village of Etroubles, Affittacamere L'Abri features free Wi-Fi and simply furnished rooms with a TV. The Swiss border is reachable in about 15 minutes by car. Rooms are all en suite, while some have a balcony. An Italian sweet breakfast can be enjoyed in the breakfast hall. Guests can relax in the shared garden with a playground, and enjoy free use of the on-site ski deposit. Golf putting greens are found 3 km from the L’Abri. In winter, a public bus to the Pila ski area stops 200 metres away.
Pros: A friendly, family run property in a fascinating 200-year old stone chalet. We loved the room with a balcony and wonderful views across the valley. We enjoyed our dinner at the neighboring trattoria just a short stroll down the hill. And we loved our breakfast presented by our genial host (and daughter) with family-made cake and preserves. We also took advantage of the pilgrim path for a beautiful pre-dinner hike through the fields along an historic canal.
Cons: It was a bit hard to find. We drive right past it the first time. (their address did not show up on our GPS). That being said, the location IS gorgeous being at the very top of the little ‘hameau, and right of the famous pilgrim trail coming over the Grande St Bernard Pass. We thought the reception area was a bit gloomy, but the room and breakfast area more than made up for that.
Pros: Vänliga och trevliga
Cons: We did not get the rom we had ordered since it was not available. Instead we were placed in another buiding in a part of an appartment. It was clean and spacious, but no wi-fi and not the standard we had expected from previous good marks.
Pros: It's a very oldy worldy hotel but lovely. The room was big and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was clean also. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It is a family run hotel and the meal from their parent's restaurant was very good.
Pros: Lovely stay - we arrived and had a wonderful dinner in the family restaurant - afterwards we were welcomed to a cosy heated room! Great breakfast with local products and friendly host! Highly recommend this BnB!
Pros: Breakfast was outstanding , with super home made cake by the wife . The dinning room entrance from your room is stunning going down the steps then into the most fantastic - Cave/Seller room= which was the old cow shed many years ago .
Located in Saint-Oyen, Mont Velan is in the mountains, a 1-minute drive from Great Saint Bernard Valley and 5 minutes from Saint Rhemy-Crevacol Ski Resort. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge at scheduled times, and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Very kind staff and delicious food for dinner.
Pros: Value for money and a very nice restaurant!!
Cons: Streetrooms are noisy.
Pros: Staff were charming and the restaurant was wonderful. The room was perfect, a little old-fashioned but clean and comfortable and spacious so I wouldn't change a thing
Pros: Great stop along the Via Francigena. Great big wonderful room with balcony to look at the mountains. Fabulous dinner and the staff was superb! My dog was very welcome here.
Pros: The breakfast was wonderful, the hotel is located in a very pretty spot conveniently on the road to the Mountain pass we wanted to reach.
Cons: Wifi signal was weak
Pros: I also find the restaurant very good.
Pros: The location was beautiful, quiet and had beautiful views. The breakfast was fantastic, lots of choice. We had our evening meal there as well and it was good and reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly. The room was good for a one night stop over and the bathroom was large and had good lighting. We stayed in room 105. This hotel also allows dogs which is great for us.
Cons: Nothing really a very enjoyable stay!
Pros: Great place to stay in Saint-Oyen! I spent a couple days here resting from the AV1 and so I could go up to see the Grand St Bernard Pass. Well connected to Aosta and the Pass by the public bus and they have the time table. Really cute hotel. Great dining area and atmosphere. Breakfast was great in the mornings. Room was clean and perfect. Front desk staff so friendly! Always with smiling faces. I would stay here again!
Cons: I stayed on the second floor and the WiFi doesn’t reach up there. Maybe a WiFi extender? The WiFi on the bottom floor works very well.
Located in Etroubles, Hotel Beau Sejour is in the historical district, a 1-minute drive from Great Saint Bernard Valley and 7 minutes from Saint Rhemy-Crevacol Ski Resort. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Lovely breakfast
Pros: Location was great, very close to centre of the pretty little village and the (only) shop was right next door. Restaurant and Bar was very nice. Evening meal was nice and breakfast was great with lots of options.
Cons: Hotel description states "Spacious Rooms" we'd beg to differ!!! The room was really small, lovely that it had a nice sunny balcony though. The bathroom was crazy, I'm small and I struggled to sit on the toilet seat with the bidet location and getting passed the shower cubicle was tight. My husband banged his head on the shelf on the wall opposite the toilet and he's 6'2 Bathroom needs much better planning. Bed was rather firm. In 10 years of cycle touring we have never ever had to pay to store the bikes in a garage, so wasn't impressed to be advised there was a charge!
Pros: Good bteakfast
Pros: Close to the center.
Cons: Small room with a small shower.
Pros: When we arrived a coach party had just arrived in front of us. The waiter took us into the lounge area and appologised for the small inconvience ( not a problem really) and got us drinks. When we did check in about 10 mins later we went to pay for our drinks to be told they where free as we had to wait at check in,wow what a start. The rooms where spacious and clean and views from the windows where exceptional. Had dinner downstairs in the restaurant and the service and meal where excellant. Breakfast next morning was buffet style and you could go up as many times as you liked. Overall loved my stay.
Cons: No free wifi.
Pros: Good location for my trip over the St Bernhard pass. Parking possibility directly in front of the hotel.
Cons: The restaurant in the hotel was a little expensive, especially compared to the quality of the food (the beer and coffe was however very good). They also added 2,50 euros as an additional fee on the restaurant bill!! Not quite fair.
Pros: Great location.
Cons: Breakfast ok. Faster refill when empty; Bread, ham etc. would be nice. Missing boiled or scrambled eggs.
Pros: Clean room and very helpful and friendly staff at reception.
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: WiFi not working
Pros: Perfect location for a stop over. Staff was really nice. Room was spacious with great view on the mountains.
Cons: Drinks and food are a bit pricy.
