B&B Le Rideux - Durbuy - Building
2
9.5 Excellent (259 reviews)
C$ 136+
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really lovely little room with a log burner. Great hosts, Couldn't do enough for us. Lovely breakfast. Huge private garden that the dog could run around in. Lovely pool although we were there in snow so cant comment on that really. Very close to Durbuy and other lovely Wallonian towns. But is you like walking in the woods you could spend a whole holiday in Heyd! The walking is fantastic. There are some great restaurants in the village and several in the village 5 minutes away too.
Cons: If you like a big room you probably need to ask for one of the other rooms. It was big enough for us though. A small double room with room for the dog bed in front of the fire.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It has a very nice garden, flemish tv, hospitality, pets are allowed and they are free to stay. Very nice and quiet neighbourhood. You can make very nice walks in the neighbourhood. The hosts were very friendly.
Cons: It's a b&b but you still need to pay for the other b (breakfast). We were surprised when we got an email with the question if we would like to have breakfast and what the price is if we like to have breakfast. We saw that they have a lot of extra facilities but also here you have to pay extra for it.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location, the view, service, friendliness
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Such a beautiful, peaceful location and setting to get away from the world. We were very impressed that everything had been built by the owners. We stayed in a cabin type room with a log burner - a perfect November getaway. The bnb bomb was very chic, designed to a high standard and felt like a luxurious treat.
Cons: There wasn't a door on the bathroom/no shower curtain for privacy. The toilet had very thin walls. We weren't aware that breakfast or wellness were additional costs when booking. This should be made clear before booking.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice welcoming service and team. It was a pleasure to stay there. The room was very clean and we had the opportunity to try sauna and jacuzzi with an amazing view over the countryside. It was a very nice experience.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This is a very nice place for a weekend with friends or family. Over the years we’ve stayed in three different parts of the complex and all have been great. The hosts are friendly and helpful and the grounds are very well kept.
Cons: I believe there’s too little privacy for a romantic getaway. The terraces are often shared and the windows and glass doors offering a beautiful view always includes a view of somebody else’s accommodation or terrace as well. That breaks the spell a bit. Otherwise highly recommended.

Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and comfortable
Cons: Very nice and helpful host We liked the time we stayed with the lovely couple
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed at Villa Roma in order to go the F1 grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps. We arrived early evening and were greeted by Linda and Robert who offered us drinks and made us feel very welcome. We were given clear directions to local places to eat and also given recommendations. Although the walk into Durbuy may be a little challenging for some we did it each night and had some very good meals there. Robert kindly loaned us some picnic chairs so we watched qualifying on Saturday in comparative comfort. Villa Roma is in situated in beautiful countryside and on Sunday morning we were greeted by the sight of a balloon festival launch which was quite spectacular in the still of the morning. Other guests included a British family who were F1 fans and they had used Villa Roma for the last 4 or 5 years which tells you something. All in all it was a super place to stay and we would like to return to explore the area further.
Cons: All good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Love accommodation! Stunning views of countryside!
Cons: Payment matter! As had booked with credit card on line.. But told by host I had to pay by cash! which was annoying and felt very uncomfortable about as had to find a bank the next day! Another matter was our neighbors on the balcony! Who sat in front of our door outwards!

Overview Reviews
Located in Ferrieres, La Buissonnière is in a rural location, within a 15-minute drive of Les Grottes de Remouchamps and Ouffet la Chateau. Free self parking is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The B&B cottage and location were perfect. The cottage was clean and it provided everything we needed. We could park the car right in front of the cottage. The place is cosy, beautiful and quiet, you’ll only hear the birds in the garden. The weather wasn’t good enough for relaxing at the swimming pool unfortunately, so we can only imagine that with good weather it would be even more perfect. Although you stay at the same grounds as the owners, the cottage gives you enough privacy. We will definitely be coming back to this place in the future! Nice to know; a small Carrefour is just a 10 minutes drive by car.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The total package, but especially the friendly staff and the midnight stay in the Jacuzzi during New year.
Cons: Just the fact that there was no tea or coffee in the room
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly hosts and simple but tasteful breakfast from local products. Quiet location just of the main road, great to explore the region.
Cons: Nothing.

Pros: Great location, free parking. We arrived on a Saturday that was very hot, the town had a lovely vibe, lots of bars and restaurants and was very popular. The hotel has a central location, we were at the back of the hotel, coffee making facility, large room. I was amazed how quiet it was at night, we stayed for two nights.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Really great host and brilliant location. Durbuy is only very small but this spot is ideal. Really nice buffet breakfast and the room was clean and had all the amenities. Really good having parking on site. Very picturesque town.
Cons: We visited in September on a Sunday and the town was very busy during the day. However, most places at night were closed including bars and restaurants. This was disappointing.
6.0 Good
Pros: The owners were delightful. The room was comfortable and view nice. I really loved the quiet of the back of the hotel and the location.
Cons: The hotel did not have a nice place to “hang out” and socialize. The smoking from the staff quarters permeated the whole downstairs and the upper back rooms . This was an offensive unpleasantry.
6.3 Good
Pros: Nice location
Cons: We booked double bed and ended up sleeping in two small separate beds instead. Wifi doesnt work.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good location, clean and room facilties good. Nice terrace for breakfast

Pros: If I am in Durbury, I always try to book a room at Hotel La Caleche! It is centrally located, has rooms with all modern comforts, including ipad, huge shower and LED lighting. Even though it's in the heart of Durbury, it's very quiet at night. They do a nice breakfast in the morning and the staff are very friendly. It's also excellent value for money.
Cons: Everything you could want but some plant milk at breakfast and gluten free bread would be nice.

Pros: Second time I have stayed at Hotel La Caleche. Very comfortable rooms and nice bathroom with huge shower. Everything is very clean and full of all amenities. Central location in Durbury.
Cons: If you are a Vegan, the breakfast is really limited (I don't think they even have plant based milk.) There is bread and jams and some fruit, but not worth the 12Euros.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is located well in a nice old village with many attractions The rooms are OK, but try to get a room with the bathroom on the same level, as the internal steps are a bit problematic at night Breakfast was very good, and included DIY waffles Stuff was very helpful and polite
Cons: The rooms that includes the bathroom on the second floor (some of our friends recieved those rooms) are not so convinient
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our room was light and sleek and very clean. We got the small room but it did not feel crowded at all. The bath was up stairs which was fine for us. The area around the hotel was teeming with activity, and the street was lined with sidewalk restaurants. Wish we could have stayed longer.

3.3 Mediocre
Pros: the location is quite nice next to the river, this is the main reason why I booked there.
Cons: It was really a disappointment, the owner of hotel is really running the hotel like a school with very strange rules. As we stayed there during summer 2 weeks ago, it was around 28°. Everyone was obliged to eat inside not on the beautiful terrace for breakfast as it was closed. I asked friendly to have a seat outside, I even proposed that we will bring the stuff afterwards back in their kitchen. The answer was no & she started to scream. I believe they don't really understand hospitality & they don't care about the customers.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, very hospitable reception. Excellent diner. Comfortable, modern room.
Cons: No need for improvement. Only disadvantage was that they don't accept cards.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything.
Cons: It was so cruel when we live this small paradise. WE want to stay moooooore.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We loved the calm location close to nature. The restaurant of the hotel served us wonderful delicious food!! Also breakfast offered a big choice and fresh fruit crisp bread and what looked and specially tasted like home made jam - we liked it a lot. Location has been perfect for going for walks and "mountainiering" (" because we are Tyrolians) ;-)
Cons: hmmm nothing comes to mind
7.0 Good
Pros: Location, good food, lots of it, big comfortable rooms, friendly staff
Cons: No card payment
7.0 Good
Pros: The location was beautiful and only about 45 minutes drive from the Spa racing circuit Dinner was delicious although a little more expensive than we would usually pay
Cons: no air conditioning bed was a bit too soft for our comfort - although others may like this realise we were in Belgium and should not expect English to be spoken but it would have made our stay a little easier. The English menu did not contain all of the dishes ! :-)
6.3 Good
Pros: Location of the hotel.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent food. Easy parking. Friendly staff
Cons: Lack of English TV No easy chairs in bedroom No drawers for clothes No desk

7.0 Good
Pros: Perfect location in Durbuy, super central can walk anywhere. Breakfast is delicious. The new building is beautiful, the restaurants are delicious. Staff is friendly.
Cons: The old part of the building is definitely in need of renovation, so it gives a less good feeling about your value for money when staying there. There were some big spiderwebs in our room when we arrived, which gave the impression that the cleaning was not done thoroughly (even though the rest was overall very clean) and the safe was broken and couldn't be opened anymore...
5.0 Okay
Pros: there was a lot of noise till 3.15 AM from 11.00 pm previous evening. Nightwatch came and ask other guests to calm down but nothing happened. Finally my wife shouted at 3.00 am and slowly it become more quiet. I had called a few times to ask to keep voices down. Hotel offered 50 % discount and now bill and card deduction came from a price which is higher than I booked ( I booked for 188 and finally was billed 213 plus tax ) coffee in the room mentioned complimentary but was charged at 5 euro per cup to our surprise...; anyway plenty of other hotels in Durbuy to go next time.....

7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was very good
Cons: Staff wasn't very polite. Both the reception as the staff at the braekfast area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, allowed our big Golden Retriever at a small cost and a beautiful room.
Cons: N/A
4.3 Okay
Pros: Very quiet room. Pastries at breakfast
Cons: Bed too soft; Shower mould ; dirty sheets; Wifi slow; Staff ignorant; Not suitable for old people or dogs afraid of steep open metal grill stairs. We were told the stairs were shallow and closed. Alternative room offered and accepted which was old and cramped at no reduction with no apology. Breakfast felt rushed and cramped feeding area. Terrible coffee.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The room we got was right on the top floor, facing the castle on one side and the anticline on the other (partial view) which was quite lovely. The room was very cozy and the bed was comfy. We really like the rustic/slightly industrial and modern feel of this hotel. In terms of breakfast, some might find the selection limited, but it’s good enough to fill your stomach if you like continental breakfast. They also had a small selection of hot food which includes scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, and bacon. There was a type of sweet brown loaf which looked like banana nut loaf was particularly tasty. For drinks, they had cava alongside the juices which I thought was a nice touch.
Cons: Unfortunately, one of the hand towels appeared to have what looked like black makeup on it on the first day of our arrival; and another uncleaned bath towel (with some sort of flakes stuck on it) on the second day of our stay. Other than that, no other issues.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: While we chose this location for convenience to attend the Grand Prix, we would love to go back to this pretty little town and stay at this hotel again for a another visit.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and pretty room and great restaurant. Also the location is amazing.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We traveled in a group. Some had the deluxe rooms, some had the superior ones. The superior rooms are standard hotel rooms, but the deluxe ones are simply beautiful! If you can close, go for deluxe. These rooms are very classy gems.
Cons: Nothing bothered me. The rooms were good, the staff was helpful, the beds were comfy.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely room, spacious with a large bed and good shower. Very centrally situated in Durbuy. Hotel is very nice and Durbuy is lovely, would stay here again.
Cons: No bar in the hotel (according to staff member I asked) but plenty nearby. No parking but we knew that before we booked.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Just a great location, friendly staff and very comfortable.
Cons: Nothing

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location, great hospitality, exclusive breakfast!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: It was very quiet and the room had a kettle. The location is very peaceful but very handy for the autoroute.
Cons: There was no T.V. in the room. It was 12kms to the nearest restaurant although there is a snack bar/restaurant in the village which we found adequate as we were only staying the one night.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Karolina the manager(?) was very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was excellent, the location is amazing (fantastic roads!) and the price very reasonable.
Cons: the bed was quite a small double, the shower had no hanger.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is easy to reach, clean, breakfast is good, it has a very nice garden, it is warm and cosy! the owner gave us many suggestions about the area. we enjoyed our stay here.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was very accommodating, we had two bicycles with us, and Karolina is absolutely lovely! She was very good at recommending places to eat and very welcoming.
Cons: Not much, it maybe would be nice to have a TV in the room, but that's not important really.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very pleasant place to stay. THe owner very nice we felt at home. Extremelly recommend the hotel.
4.3 Okay
Pros: The breakfast was adequate but limited for hotels in this price range. The young lady who helped us tried to answer our questions. Unfortunately the night we were there all the restaurants in town were closed. The fast food restaurant nearby was very unsatisfactory.
Cons: The toilet deoderizer used in the bathroom was so powerful in odor that it was actually nauseating. The room seemed old and tired. Lighting was not good. A real disappointment.

Pros: Location. Friendly service. Reasonable cost.
Cons: Could have done with wider range at breakfast. Would have preferred free range eggs not caged ones.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: I have to Pay separate for breakfast No water in the hotel at saturday 8 june from 10.00 in the morning untill 21.30 in the afternoon!! Than there was water in the evening and the next day again no water!!! I didn't shower Sunday 9!! But the main problem was no communication at all! Nothing..and neigbours had a party the whole night from 00.15 untill 5.00 i called the emergency line to tell them but low response
6.3 Good
Pros: The infrastructure is really nice!! Big and in a green and calm area with a very big garden.
Cons: Although the room was spacious , it was old.. I think they should renovate it... pipes in the toilet were visible, furniture is old.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: The location was relatively close to the city.
Cons: The street towards the hotel felt very unsafe. There was no lighting and the road was very poor and dangerous when the sun’s down. The shower was pretty dirty and had stains. We were provided with two half litre bottles of water and the tap water was gross. When asking for another bottle I was told they don’t provide that unless we pay €2 per bottle. Keep mind the room was €152 for one night. The WiFi.. there’s no wifi in the rooms. You need to go the lobby to have access to the WiFi. So watching a movie in the room was impossible. In the morning we wanted to use the provided two coffee filter pads that only work with the coffee machine available in the room. We couldn’t figure out how to make it work because there were no directions. We proceeded to check out and tell the man at the check out that the machine was broken. He said ‘it’s not broken, there’s a button on the bottom & back of the machine to turn it on’. This is separate from the button in the front of the machine to run the coffee through. I told him he should provide some directions in case people don’t know because we just assumed the machine was broken. And I was given this response ‘well most people don’t need those kind of directions and can figure it out on their own’. So instead of giving me a voucher, a proper answer or help with the machine, I was basically being called dumb and stupid for not knowing how to work the coffee machine that was very unclear and illogical. A normal and friendly answer with an apology would’ve been enough, but there was no apology, just the man by the desk essentially calling me stupid. Will not recommend to anyone nor ever come here again. The rooms were ok, but the horrible service and rude staff makes it an absolute NO!
7.5 Good
Pros: Everything was nice and we were expected. The place is quite and in the middle of the nature. The staff are also very nice and helpful.
Cons: I would have like to have a fridge in our bedroom or to book a room(if there are) with kitchenette. Having a small child you have to prepare his preferred food .
7.5 Good
Pros: Everything else
Cons: 14euros for breakfast is a bit steep
7.5 Good
Pros: The wellness suite was superb and the staff were very friendly.
Cons: Everything was closed, no other residents, not even staff on site. Breakfast was very expensive.
7.0 Good
Pros: The surroundings, the overall layout and location.
Cons: The food in the restaurant, also when complaining staff insisted it was the first time anybody complained and nothing could be done about it. We were with four and none of us could eat more then one or two bites (fish and steak) we had to go out for pizza later on. Rest was super
7.5 Good
Pros: The wellness room! This room was amazing to relax and chill! Durbuy is also nearby so that is great.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: We loved the village
7.0 Good
Cons: toilet of room 9 too close to bath no parking
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was not included in original quote. It was well worth the 15 euros however.
Cons: Ideally there could have been tea or coffee making facility in the room.
7.0 Good
Pros: Very friendly and helpful front desk. The hotel I checked in at (apparently an affiliate of the one where my room was) was very nice and breakfast (paid for separately) was good. Both hotels were centrally located in the beautiful small village of Durbuy. Lots of small shops, bars, cafes and restaurants close by. My room was large. There was hot water, but only a bathtub and shower hose... no shower curtain.
Cons: The hotel building itself requires repairs. Holes in the floor of the stairwell. Old soiled carpet. Easy chairs in room were thread-bare. Messy and un-kept foyer area (resulting in a poor first impression). No reception desk! Small sign out front directing us to another hotel down the street (150 meters) to haul our bags and check in (then haul them back). Nearest reasonably priced parking lot was more than 300 meters away. For the price I paid ($132 Euro per night), without breakfast, the room and hotel were overpriced.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Nice, quiet and clean room. Super comfy beds and pillows! We slept so well. The receptionist was very friendly upon arrival. We felt at home and enjoyed our stay a lot. Definitely recommendable!
7.5 Good
Pros: Great location, very nice and helpful stuff, charming old building, lift, central heating for cold nights, good WiFi
Cons: No electric kettle, no possibility to make tea or coffee
7.5 Good
Pros: Central location for the town. Staff were obliging and prompt
Cons: The 2 bed apartment only had one shared bathroom which for 2 couples wasn’t ideal. Also the 2nd bedroom was tiny.
