Pros: The location was great and the grounds and pool were well tended and lovely.
Cons: The bathroom was small with a very compact shower.
Pros: The staff were both friendly and helpful. An excellent location for our travels in the area.
Cons: The bathroom shower a little too small but made due.
Pros: Beautiful, quieter location in a lovely hotel with nice room
Cons: Cold water in swimming pool
Pros: Beautiful setting in a wonderful small village. The manager was extremely helpful to us.
Pros: Large bright room with a nice outlook, plenty of space to store things, great breakfast, tea-making facilities in the room, air con for warm nights, quiet location and a huge garden with pool.
Cons: The shower is a tight fit, even for a fairly small person.
Pros: Location, lovely gardens and pool area. Good sized pool. Staff very helpful. Would stay again. The village is great, lots of places to eat. Pretty. Kids liked the hot chocolate and the pool.
Cons: Our room was a bit tired - with a crack in the wall. The breakfast was nice but they kept running out of items and not restocking quickly enough. Felt like it needed more staff. Signs everywhere saying no picnics, but they didn’t offer meals etc, only breakfast.
Pros: - beautiful facilities, perfect to relax - good breakfast
Pros: Rooms are tidy and clean. Reception was very efficient, clear and warm welcome. Breakfast was very generous with healthy local food. I would surely recommend. Very good value for money.
Pros: Clean and good location
Cons: Walls were very thin can hear the people in the reception
When you stay at Villa Regalido in Fontvieille, you'll be next to a golf course, a 2-minute drive from Alpilles and 5 minutes from Camargue Regional Nature Park. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Very nice staff, helpful, available
Cons: Rooms in the end are too small but ok if you have less luggage as wasn’t our case
Pros: Just everything. Staff first, very friendly helpful when needed to find a hairstylist, booking it, moving your car around if required on the parking, accomodating your stay. their smile. all these small things that make a stay great.
Cons: Nothing. I usually have always something to say but not this time.
Pros: Olivier is absolutely wonderful. My first night at the hotel wasn't great, because my room was too hot. He not only tried to find me another hotel, but reimbursed me right away without my ever having asked, which was so polite (and also the right thing to do). In the end, he moved me to a room that was far better air conditioned and was beautiful, because it recently had been renovated. The hotel's breakfast is on a patio that is lovely and the food is amazing, especially the bread and cake. A really wonderful hotel! I would definitely go back.
Cons: Some rooms are much better ventilated than others. Also, some have been renovated so the bathrooms are quite nice while others are old and not nearly as beautiful and comfortable. They also were doing some termite removal that put a long red "snake" through the hotel. Between the heat and the termite stuff, I initially thought I'd made a mistake booking there. But then it all worked out really well and by the time I left, I was sorry that I had to go. I'd definitely go back there if in Provence again.
Pros: We had a suite with a separate sitting area and a balcony patio.
Pros: I paid for a superior room. I would not rate it superior. The furniture was tired and so were the bathroom fittings. The garden was lovely and the food pretty good. It just needs tarting up a bit.
Pros: The atmosphere of the hotel an design are amazing, the staff, the pool, the size of the room and the breakfast!!
Cons: As the villa is quite old the rooms were quite noisy, we could hear the broth ours upstairs very well
Pros: Everything! Nice villa, quiet place , fantastic surroundings... very good food!!! Staff was very helpful and welcoming:)
Pros: Breakfast was nice although would have like additional of cooked breakfast options (not just boiled eggs.)
Cons: Stayed here many years ago when it was truely a 4 star property. Has been renovated but to a 3 star standard - clean but no ambiance. Had to pay for parking and inadequate staffing - had to go search for the Receptionist who was also serving in restaurant for another coffee at breakfast time.
Pros: The English speaking staff was excellent. The hotel was beautiful. Charming little village - Fontvieille. The room was lovely, but too many steps! Staff helped us with luggage. Food at the restaurant was Excellent! Enjoyed the restaurants close by especially au Planet and the chicken man at la Table ;-))
Cons: We had a leaky room, unfortunately it rained. We could not find the hotel and no one spoke English at the hotel to help us. It was a problem after 4 getting any help with traveling questions because there was no one that spoke English then. Otherwise it was a charming experience and we loved being in the heart of Provence ❤️. Anne Gemmer
Pros: Charming and very peaceful. Welcoming staff and very helpful. Massage was lovely too.
With a stay at Le Madaleno in Fontvieille, you'll be next to a golf course, steps from Alpilles and a 4-minute drive from Chateau des Baux. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Remote location in beautiful landscape. Very friendly staff. Great delicious food. Small size of the hotel. Very intimate atmosphere. Swimming pool. Big enough car park.
Cons: No mini bar in room. A little fridge would have been nice.
Pros: Beatiful House, very nice terrace and pool. The rooms war small but nice and air conditioned!
Cons: There aren’t any shops around (closest shop 30 minutes walking distance). since we are vegan and the menu didn’t offer vegan food, we brought some hummus and vegetables ourselves. we asked the owner multiple times for some bread or fruit.. This sadly was not possible. The only option for us was to go on foot to the store, thus going for a 1 hour hike before breakfast... Some host.
Pros: Everyone was wonderful, front desk, maids, and breakfast staff. While hotel itself is on the older side with the bathroom being small, everything worked. Our room looked out at the pool. It was only 7 km from Baux.
Pros: Lovely hotel, nice pool, great food and the terrace is a lovely spot for dining or a drink.
Cons: The hotel is at the crossroads of two major roads, no other restaurants or shops in walking distance. It is several miles from Fontvieille, Maussane -les-Alpilles and Le Paradou. The driveways and parking lots are dusty, as the yard is not paved. Cars are in and out constantly, leaving dust behind. Next to the parking lot is the restaurant. The Hotel looks rundown from the outside. Inside everything is old and in desperate need of renovation. We had to evacuate the hotel at 3am, due to a faulty fire alarm. The room was very small, poor decorated. The shower and toilet squeezed in a pantry room. No fly screens, we had to sleep with air conditioner on. The host was rude towards us. Me and my wife wanted to open a bottle of wine and drink on the terrace of the hotel, and he told us to go and drink on the road, outside the premises, if we did not buy the wine from the hotel. My wife left in tears.
Pros: We liked the athmosfere and the staff. The breakfast was very good.
Pros: Staff was wonderful. Setting and location were perfect for us. Food was delicious.
Cons: The bedroom and bathroom were small. Suggest a rubber mat in the shower to avoid falls when getting in and out. Additional hooks in the bathroom would be helpful. Asked for luggage rack which was then provided--very necessary for functioning.
Pros: Owners are friendly and helpful. Location is very good. Territory is beautiful and cozy. Restaurant has good and varied menu also has special options for children. Delicious coffee and fresh pastries. Breakfast is very good, varied. The rooms are clean and not large, but good enough for sleeping.
Pros: Our hosts were excellent, welcoming and extremely helpful. The food was great.
Pros: The hotel restaurant served one of the better meals I've had in any French hotel!
