9.2 Excellent
Pros: We had a lovely time here. Clean and quiet when we went end of May. The pools were very clean and warm. We will visit again
4.2 Okay
Pros: Very clean chalet.
Cons: As a UK customer we expected the site to be comparable to the ones here. However we were greatly disappointed. The evening entertainment did not start until 9pm which is far too late for small kids. The pool was rammed and other children very poorly behaved and supervised. The lady who ran the daily 1.5 hour holiday club did not speak much English nor did she understand children with additional needs (she was witnessed screaming hysterically at my son!). There was no space outside chalets for children to play safely (just the road). The chalets are half the size of UK caravans, even going for the largest 3 bed option - your only living space is a small kitchen/diner/longue so wouldn't suit those with small kids. Generally the while site was very, very run down in comparison to sites in the UK. I will say that the French holiday makers seemed to love the place, however they must be accustomed to different standards/experiences.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean lodges, looked like brand new. Great indoors pool. Really enjoyed our stay with children.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The caravan was very clean.
Cons: There was to much pressure on the cleaning of the caravan, I didn't want to touch anything. Were told to bring our own lining which we did but they didn't provide any pillows. There was supposed to be entertainment, and I was hoping a restaurant or somewhere to eat, but there was only a small run down bar area serving drinks, no entertainment that I saw only an empty stage in a connected cold gazebo! All looking a bit sad plus it was raining and there was nothing to do inside, so was a little bleak. Pool was heated a little, but the whole place needs a make over, glad we only stayed one night.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good central location overlooking the beach. I did not eat at the hotel but have done so previously; it is very good.
Cons: Room was a little cramped, but appreciate that cannot be changed.
7.0 Good
Pros: The hotel is excellently placed on the coast and within walking distance of the town centre. The hotel also has a very good restaurant. There are also a lot of additional restaurants close to the hotel, but these were all shut as it was in the middle of winter.
Cons: We had a tiny room with no view at the back of the hotel even though the hotel was almost empty as it was off season. My PR brain tells me that it would have been good PR to fill your sea facing room when you have low occupancy as this would encourage guest to perhaps visit again in season or any other time. The hotel offers parking(limited amount of space) but at an additional cost even in the winter. There is parking available on the street, but this will be limited during season.
7.0 Good
Pros: It was really good value for money despite the odd entrance outside ! Very windy stay as storms but room was tidy and nicely warm and comfy beds .
Cons: Didn’t like the having to pay extra for kitchen Use in your studio very odd !!!
6.7 Good
Cons: Beds not made. Delay at check in. Room quite cold. Very basic
8.0 Excellent
Cons: Staff excellent, breakfast good.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely bright hotel, great breakfast options and well placed for walking and driving to nearby places of interest.
Cons: Everything was lovely including the restaurant it would have been helpful to have an English translation of the menu as we were guessing even with the use of a dictionary. What we chose was lovely.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The back court Where the studio are located is very dirty warn out And depressing. The garbage small is all over
Cons: Back Yard the view the smell And the cleaness

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful staff and good location. For sure a nice place to stay . Thanks very much and greetings, MR. A.B. Estepona / Spain.
7.9 Good
Pros: Conveniently situated on the main D940 road from Boulogne to Abbeville. With transport, it is easy to get into the town & sea-front. Hotel has it's own secure parking area and is close to nearby shops & restaurants
Cons: Bathroom was a bit grim! Sink was cracked and the water didn't drain away for several minutes. Hotels ought to realise that not everybody uses a shower! I can't smell too well.................but the wife (boss) reckons the bathroom smelled.
6.0 Good
Pros: I was impressed with the secure paring
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Big room, plenty of space. Also the location was great mid-point for our journey to the channel tunnel/home. Proximity to the beach but also local services such as food and supermarket a big plus. It was very clean and excellent value for money.
Cons: The bathroom was a bit odd as it didn't have cubicle or shower screen/curtain, so water spread a bit more than we would have liked. I think the decor in the room would benefit from a bit of an upgrade.

6.3 Good
Pros: Location clean room
Cons: Staff
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very central and very reasonable
Cons: Needs a lick of paint here and there
5.4 Okay
Pros: This property was, quite frankly, a disappointment given the reviews. However, it is a two starred rated property, something that the hotel itself accepts (posted on sign outside) but I, perhaps naively, expected something different based on what I read. The hotel is tired, stained carpets in the creaky corridors, dust covered stairwells, slightly grumpy staff. But, it served its purpose. A place to rest our heads on the drive down the coast.
6.3 Good
Pros: Clean well equipped kitchen area
Cons: Shabby and dull
6.7 Good
Pros: It was cheap and cheerful, we had a studio which was well equipped.
Cons: Having to strip the beds and waiting for staff to check the room, not great when you want to head off early.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Fresh squeezed orange juice was a welcome surprise at breakfast.
Cons: Check in process was impersonal and the facilities are a bit run-down. Room was not well heated.

Cons: all was good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and good breakfast - thank you too the manager for his patience and handling of the situation etc. Many thanks again
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Breakfast was reasonably priced
Cons: Pervading odour on entering hotel was musty and the individual rooms (we had 2 for the night) were particularly bad - showers were really smelly and drains need bleaching. Beds were hard. Would not think this hotel has 2 stars.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Brigitte's house is a large, very smart and modern home. Our large double bedroom with an adjacent single bedroom was on the first floor and had a very comfortable double bed, seating area and tv. It overlooked the large garden. Quiet at night. Tea and coffee making was provided. The bathroom had a good shower and space for our toiletries. They have a dog and a cat. Parking is in the grounds through a secure gate. It's about a 25 minute almost level walk to the seafront and town centre but there are some restaurants closer to the house. Brigitte is a lovely hostess and really goes out of her way to make you feel welcome. The breakfast was a feast. We loved every minute of our short stay. Thank you Brigitte.
Cons: There is only unsecure wifi.

Pros: Everything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Brigitte was a really nice and friendly host. The accommodation was impeccable and really great value for money, with secure private parking. Breakfast was continental style and excellent. We would definitely stay here again. It was a pity we couldn't stay longer as this was a stop over en route from Normandy back to Le Shuttle
Cons: There was nothing not to like about it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a very enjoyable two night stay at La Villa des Hortensias. Our room was very spacious and immaculately clean. The welcome from our host and hostess (and their charming little dog) was warm and friendly. They were able to provide us with excellent information about places to eat and to visit e.g. seeing the seals at low tide at Berck sur Mer. Breakfasts were superb, with tasty homemade jams and baking included. This is an excellent centre for visiting this part of France. We can recommend Etaples, Montreuil and Chateau Hardelot.
Cons: Nothing. (Berck sur Mer itself is not picturesque but it has a wide sandy beach and a pleasant atmosphere.)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very confortable room, very flexible owner (our arrival hour kept changing from 11pm to 2pm back to midnight)? fantastic continental breakfast with home made jam. The room has kettle, tea an coffee. Shower was practical. The average mark of 9.6 is well deserved.
Cons: Nothing, really.
