Pros: breafakfast good
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Great suite, very large, very special old house.
Cons: Not enough hot water
7.0 Good
Pros: The view of the ocean from the penthouse suite was great though there is quite a busy road below.
Cons: Breakfasts were very average without much variety. When we asked for fresh orange juice, we were told it would cost extra.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely little hotel right on the waterfront of a beautiful historic town on the quieter side of Tenerife. Has only seven unique suites, lots of space and the most beautiful wooden ceilings with all the character you would expect in a property over 300 years old. Wonderful staff and breakfast served by the patisserie that shares the central courtyard. Great value, would definitely recommend if you are planning to stay on this quieter corner of Tenerife. Out suite was right on the front so some road noise but worth it for the amazing sea view.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Loft Room with terrace was great with views over the sea and mountains.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect. We had the sea view apartment
Cons: The windows don’t have a mosquito blind, and we didn’t had a fan in the room. So we had to sleep with the windows open and the building is in front of the main road, the noise of the cars is to load plus the mosquitos really took a tool on us. It was super warm inside the room. Having a fan in the room would had made a huge difference
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location Atmosphere Style
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was heaven we loved it the situation is perfect and it’s immaculate and huge
Cons: Liked everything

6.0 Good
Pros: View very nice well equipped with all facilities.
Cons: The room was musty and bit damp. That meant the bed was damp. Also the pillows and duvet smelt very bad of other peoples sweat. That bad could not use.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I hiked to the location; you should definitely get there by car unless you're into hiking! The location was very secluded which was perfect for me as I just needed a place to sleep, isolate and get some work done on my laptop. Instructions and check-in process was quick and quite straightforward.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked the garden with a great view, cosyness of the room, heater...
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The views are spectacular. The location in a village really inclusive. The place feels like home. We loved it. We had everything we needed. We got in very easily.
Cons: The place smells a bit dump. There was mould in the bathroom.
6.0 Good
Pros: liked the place itself where the accommodation was located.o most of the outdoor terraces overlooking the sea and the Icod town below
Cons: but the grievances would be that the room was full of ants and kept a constant smell of antiquity. To top it all off, there was a very slow internet, at moments when all the guests went by, it became completely impossible.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable, feeling like at home. Lovely garden, terace with a see view. Very quiet.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: + Beautiful terrace + Well equipped kitchen + Quiet surroundings + Good launchpad for hiking (if you have a car)

Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, dry cleaning/laundry services, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was extremely quiet, set in a banana plantation close to the coast, yet it was easily accessible to the town of Garachico and to the main coast road.
Cons: The décor would benefit from freshening up. It is a shame that they no longer provide meals apart from the excellent buffet breakfast.
6.3 Good
Pros: Staff very pleasant. Receptionist, Veronique, very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Breakfast nice. No bar. There’s an ‘honestly bar’ but totally inadequate. No restaurant (at time I visited - otherwise, in high season, only twice a wk). Lovely feel about the main hotel area and courtyard. Veronique, receptionist very nice, friendly and helpful. Overall, (can only speak of the annex) think it is totally overpriced. If a female solo traveller, my advice is to ensure you book for the main hotel. The annex is very isolated. I was in last residence. Big room. No light to speak of. Creepy and isolated at night. (BTW - would somebody oil all the door hinges!). Hotel not suitable if you don’t drive. Don’t know about the hotel accommodation itself but can confirm another’s comment that the annex accommodation doesn’t tally with the pictures. Francis, local taxi driver merits a big
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing setting, lots of quiet spots to sit..walks around plantation, friendly staff & great hot shower!
Cons: Single bed wasn’t as comfortable as hoped but was adequate.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A lovely quiet place to stay to get away from it all and the gardens are beautiful. We stayed in the annex rather than the main house and it was very comfortable, it’s only a five minute walk through the plantation to the house. There are walks through the plantation. We used the pool once and it was lovely. Even though we like to walk everywhere we found that having a car was quite important if you want to visit Garachico and surrounds and get to the start of some great hiking trails in the mountains too. The staff are also fantastic. We will definately be back!
Cons: Nothing
7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was fine. We hadn't realised before we booked that there was no restaurant in the evenings - there was only information that it was closed for a period which was before we were due to stay. The closure was still on when we arrived, and it turned out that even if it were open, it was only open two days a week! It wasn't a major problem as there was a restaurant within walking distance and driving to Garachico and parking was very easy. We liked the honesty system for the bars. Lots of information about the local area in reception - we borrowed an excellent guidebook about the area.
Cons: Clearer information about dining arrangements on the website. Our room was rather small and dark, but very conveniently located on the patio and perfectly comfortable. Not keen on paying for a safe key.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is amazing, beautiful views and peaceful place.
Cons: Sports facilities (tennis court) could be better maintained.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent stylish and relaxing hotel in a delightful setting. A real oasis of calm. Comfortable rooms, great relaxing area and excellent breakfast. A real treat.

7.9 Good
Pros: Nice outdoor areas and view
Cons: Toilet inside the room
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This hotel definitely has the best position of all the hotels around. I was really happy with my single room; good to know if you’re traveling alone. The village is beautiful and there are some amazing walks in BuenaVista. Sadly I was there when the crazy dusty wind (La Calima) happened but it did not detract from the fact that this hotel is a fabulous place to stay with very friendly owners. There are some lounges and chairs in the outside spaces with gorgeous views to the sea.
Cons: There is a kettle in the room but no teabags which would be a nice touch. It would be really nice to have the option of soy milk or almond milk for breakfast! Pillows way to thick for my liking.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Loved the Gara Hotel, staff & the town . Not too touristy and felt like the real Canarias Disappointed that the travel blurb didn’t mention the rock pools & swimming pool are closed for the winter as this was the main reason we came .
6.7 Good
Pros: Location and building is super beautiful. They have a great understating of local restaurants
Cons: Staff was really not optimal, and for this price and value expectations are high. Breakfast quality also have room to improve
9.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a lovely relaxing time at the Gara Hotel. We stayed there 10 days - the staff were friendly, the hotel clean and comfortable and the surrounding area just lovely
Cons: not a lot
7.0 Good
Pros: Owners excellent. Breakfast okay - not wow. Lady doing the breakfast not very friendly. Rest of staff fine
Cons: Bath not just shower
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The area for all guests was fabulous, because my eye wandered around antique and pretty items, there were many well cared for plants, seating areas were comfortable, it was immaculately clean and tidy too. Our room was very pleasant, with a chocolate and bottle of water each every day. Breakfast was generous, plenty of everything to eat. The verandah that looked out to the sea was extensive, so that three groups could sit there in comfort.
Cons: It was all excellent.
