9.5 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean. The location was just what we needed. Being in the heart of shopping and restaurants and bars was perfect for us. We loved the energy. The kitchen was well stocked and everything we used worked perfectly.
Cons: The room had no hospitality binder. We did not know where the pool was. Did it have a spa? What were the hours? Where were the ice machines? We called the front desk about it who had no clue and forwarded our call to the concierge. She said that there should be "something" in our room. She did not offer to have someone bring it to us but said we could swing by when we were out. Not the best customer service.
6.3 Good
Pros: Location, room was lovely & overall facilities & cleanliness of the place.
Cons: We were not told about the activities. Also, service requests take very long. We wanted to have coffee but didn't know how to operate the particular coffee machine at the unit. It took more than 3-4 calls & over an hour to resolve. Plus concierge services was diverted to Marriott Timber Lodge & we felt we did miss out on some fun activities just because we were not informed.

Swimming pool is on small side but adequate and clean. Has a nice jaccuzi too. Walking distance to the waterfront for evening eat and stroll.
Cons: The mattress is on soft side. Our toilet made small whoozing sound probably due to a leak. Reported it but never got fixed and they never got back to us.

Cons: None.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very large with many amenities. Could have stayed longer and really relaxed. Comfortable beds and pillows.
Cons: No breakfast offered.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Good location (close to Stateline) and a reasonable room for 3 (Sofa bed + Queen bed).
Cons: Service levels from the staff. For a property half full during the weekdays with a cleaning window of 5 hours (Check in time is 4 pm, Check out is 11 am), they could not allow a slightly later check-out beyond 15 mins. And that too with ton of privilege. This property is unlikely to succeed with such poor levels of guest centricity.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice big room. Very clean. Full kitchen for cooking.
Cons: Warning to all.....rooms do not have air conditioning. It was uncomfortable as we were there in mid July. Also booking.com mentioned breakfast was included.....BREAKFAST IS ONLY SERVED ON SATURDAY.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Verry clean and big room. It hasen’t a window in the bedroom but it wasn’t bad for us.
Cons: The heating system was verry loud like a little plane. Should be replaced. The amount for the room was charged to me three days before arrival. It’s a little bit strange...
8.3 Excellent
Cons: The a/c did not cool the room. It was stuffy.

7.0 Good
Pros: Everything except the lack of air conditioning
Cons: There’s no air conditioning and it’s very hot there

Cons: Nothing.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Makes you feel like you're in your own home.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is great! Easy check-in, friendly and helpful staff, there is a parking in the hotel, spa. Two-room apartment was clean, had a big bathroom, was nicely decorated. What we liked best is that the "room" looked more like an apartment what we got used to in Europe: small kitchen, table, sofa- everything caused us to feel comfortable. The place is highly recommended

Pros: Vallet was included. Was a nice convenience with all the ski gear.
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, full kitchen, multiple living spaces, gorgeous views, beautiful living spaces, great for large groups.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was wonderful! Best service I have ever had! From beginning to end!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I think the thing I liked most was the location. While the Gondola portion of Heavenly is not my most favorite, staying at the villas is just so convienent. Once you park you never really have to leave. Supermarket is across the street, cinemas are on site, so many good restaurants are also on site, there’s so much to do within walking distance. It’s really what sold me. Secondly, since there are so many nice places that offer the same close proximity of the gondola is the villa itself. We had plenty of room for our party of 7. We cooked most nights, then frequented the pool area. So relaxing. And very spacious. Not all accommodations can offer the room to stretch out with 7 persons in a room.
Cons: Maybe communications on what was going on activities wise. For instance I didn’t even know there was a ski check until the end of my stay, it could have made my stay so much easier by checking ski equipment rather than lugging it up to the room each day.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I love that it is so convenient to everything! I only had to use my car twice during my whole trip. Everything was walking distance!
Cons: I'm not sure what had happened but my car had valet parking. And they returned my car with wheel/ tire was flat

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Early check-in, reception, room amenities, room wi-fi, location, free parking
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel was great! The owner and her staff were incredibly nice. The lady at the front desk during check-in was very informative and gave us a lot of good recommendations of sushi restaurants. During breakfast, we spoke with a guy at the front desk who gave us some interesting facts about the history of Lake Tahoe and its surroundings. The room was very clean and well maintained! I'll definitely stay here again
Cons: Probably more variety on breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is the 3rd time we have returned to Alpen Rose. It’s an AMAZING location in the central part of south lake that is just a bike ride or nice walk to the central “Hub” of fun. But I think the thing we love most about this place is seeing the familiar faces of staff. It makes coming to a place that isn’t our home, feel like home away from home. Hanna’s kindness and hard work to provide her guests with a cozy stay is so appreciated, and the gentleman at the front desk (I feel so guilty for not remembering his name) is the sweetest soul who has all of the greatest Tahoe recommendations and random Tahoe trivia
9.3 Excellent
Pros: European touch.
Cons: Very soft mattresses on beds.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, staff, breakfast, comfortability.
Cons: Nothing. Everything was perfect.
3.0 Mediocre
Cons: Everything, over price, no refrigerator in the room, nor microwave, not worth the money. Please try to find a better place.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: The Inn was very clean and well maintained. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful- they gave me great tips on local recreational opportunities. The inn is nicely decorated and has a pleasant outside deck.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice clean, quiet room. Comfortable bed. Soft sheets. Thick towels. Sound like home? Well kept property in South Lake Tahoe's stateline hotel area. The bathroom in our unit looked recently remodeled and they did a fantastic job in doing the work. What wasn't mentioned in their room descriptions was the fireplace heating unit in the room. It added yet another nice little touch of home. Owner and staff were very nice and helpful. Will definitely be booking Alpenrose Inn from now on when we go to Tahoe.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner welcomed us with great smile even after late night arrival. She showd us what to do around and introduced us briefly to the history of Lake Tahoe and her family there. Clean rooms and comfortable bed made us rest for the other challenging day.
Cons: I would personally welcome broader selection of food for breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great management, excellent rooms. Located centrally, within walking distance of State Line & Heavenly Plaza, but away from the main traffic where it's pretty tranquil. Nice walks to the beach in multiple directions.
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very pleasant Breakfast included Whilst not on the main road, only a short walk to Heavenly gondola, restaurants and casinos
Cons: Thin walls/ceilings sadly meant you could hear adjacent rooms.

Cons: The front desk staff was awful
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was clean and homey. All front desk staff were terrific and helpful! Very quiet location, was able to leave the sliding patio door open all night for cool air. Casinos just a short drive around the corner. Nice pool table, library, a few video games, and a big indoor spa. Big movie collection to choose from or bring your own DVD 's. Parking was decent. Kitchen was fully functional. My teen boys had plenty of room to share the sleeper sofa. Vanity area is separate from the shower/toilet area. Plenty of space to spread out in the room in our down time. Walked to Motts Canyon Tavern 1 block up for a great dinner with the family, and Red Hut Waffles in front of the hotel for an excellent breakfast. Did the Heavenly Ultimate Adventure for 4 for $297, a MUST DO but go early so you can do everything! Would definitely stay at this hotel again!
Cons: They don't have a pool or air conditioned rooms, but they do provide a stand up oscillating fan in the room. Not an issue in the winter but a little warm in the summer.

5.8 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was awesome incredible love the Breakfast and Location and Decor Valet Staff excellent very helpful very professional they make your stay very pleasant !! Bed was very soft and Room Amenities !!!!
Cons: The Hotel is misleading, it is not a Private Beach Front you are actually sharing the Beach with a public that pays to use the beach. The Room is also misleading none of the rooms leads directly to the beach. Theres is a street and gate in front of the beach . No direct access as claimed. If you want direct beach access go stay at Tahoe Lakeshore Lodge and Spa. The room is misleading if you are not staying in a lake view room that faces directly the Lake, save your money and go to another hotel. Our room had a patio with two chairs that faced an empty parking lot it was a joke. we never even used the patio. We were told we have private patio ridiculous 2 chairs placed directly facing an empty parking lot was out private patio!!! Many rooms other rooms were available I think but they told us they are sold out. Also check in sucks, we arrived at 3:15pm they said room was not ready and check in is at 4pm?? really !! Check out is 11am how can the room not be ready by3pm.. Yes they have only 2 house keepers cleaning the entire property not sure why!!! The amount of money we paid didn't live up to the hype of the hotel Before I booked almost all reviews listed this place at 10/10 am not who these people but their reviews are misleading!!! I have stayed in many hotels all over the world and I would consider this hotel at best 3 star. Honestly save your money and go somewhere else unless you have a room directly across the lake even then don't be fooled, it is not a direct access to the beach and the beach is not private it is a paid public beach that you get to use for free. Wifi was a disaster, was super slow we literally had no wifi the entire time. We had to go outside the hotel for wifi it was super slow or non-functional.
5.4 Okay
Cons: 1. There was no hot water in the morning when outside temperature is -8 C and they couldnt seem to care about it.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is right next to the beach - nice in summer, and of course offering a great view on the lake, especially if you are stying in the front rooms. Our room was spacious, the bed was really comfy, loved the bathroom and the fireplace in the living area. The hotel offered free bikes which was nice too. Tried the restaurant for dinner and breakfast, which served great food, however, on the expensive side.
Cons: Hope to see more environmental awareness promoted in the future :-)
5.5 Okay
Pros: Location. Staff very nice
Cons: My room smelled like paint and couldn’t breath. my lungs are stop hurting. Tv didn’t work. Water took half an hour to get hot. Everything we asked , they didn’t have!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel all around. Staff was great. Room had the view they promised. Food was good.
Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: The room didn’t have TV. The check in was really late when we requested early check in. We got there at 12:00 and we had a 6 week old baby, and we went to see if room was ready at 4:00 and it still wasn’t and there was no sympathy or service reflecting we had a baby. It was a brand new room they said. Bathroom shower should have a door on it, because when showering it splashed into the rest of the bathroom. Would have rather got a room with a view than a remodeled room. Got cookies and milk to room and cookies were cold, for the price? Great location with beach access. Great restaurant and food.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Our Short Stay was Excellent. The Room was Clean, the Location and the Nite Light Warm Toilet Seat was a Nice Touch
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Was such an amazing experience! Everyone was polite and got everything to us as soon as we requested it! Definitely will be going back
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great, perfect for the lake. Jimmy's restaurant was very nice and the wait staff were great!
Cons: We booked a pet friendly room for our dog, we were told we could only stay on the ground floor next to the lake car park. It was very noisy and the nightly cost did not match my experience. I am a seasoned traveler and this was not good value for money.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All staff were so friendly and accommodating.
Cons: Nothing.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Rooms are very clean indeed and have nice modern design, the restaurant downstairs was tasty for breakfast (didn’t try anything else there).
Cons: It is an OK hotel for 3 stars, but definitely not 5 stars. Definitely not worth paying around 900 USD (sic!) for 2 nights. 1. No minibar at the room (the refrigerator is empty). 2. Not possible to order any drinks and hot food into the room after 9.30 pm. We arrived at 10.30 pm and wanted to order at least something to eat after long road. Night service was only able to provide cold wrap sandwich and no drinks. The restaurant and bar downstairs closes at 9.30 pm and were also not able to help. The only way was to drive to CVS and by drinks there. 3. Celling is extremely thin and made of wood, every step in a room above you will be that loud as it is happening in your room. On our first morning cleaning lady started cleaning the room above us and for an hour it sounded like there is an elephant bumping the celling. As you guess it was impossible to continue to sleep. 4. Stuff was not responsive to our inquiries. We were ignored when asked not to clean the room above at least for couple hours so we can sleep and rest. Same episode happened next day again at 8am. The answer is always - sorry, we can’t do anything. 5. They do have a pool and bicycles (have not checked the gym though), but if you ever stayed at 5 stars hotel you definitely would not rate these amenities at 5 star. They are maximum 3. Pool is a small one for 10 persons max (this is according to the sign), I would say it is for 5-6 persons max, otherwise it turns to a bathtub. No guard. No beverages allowed. Nothing special if to sum up. 6. Amenities promoted at the website in fact are not included into the room price. At check out you will be asked to pay additionally around 50 USD per day of some sort a resort fee (as explained by receptionist it is payment for amenities (pool, bicycles, etc.) available at the hotel). Does not matter if you used them or not. Note: it is not an occupancy tax which is normally charge at hotels in this area (this will be charged additionally as well).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We biked every where and the bikes were complementary (helmets and locks too!). They also had a complementary shuttle so we didn’t have to drive anyplace and have to worry about parking which was an added bonus!!

9.3 Excellent
Pros: The view from our room was amazing! We liked the overall location and the staff was very helpful. We were really happy to be right on the lake and to have a large beach area.
Cons: The decor in the lobby was very outdated and tired. Pillows were not good. It would have been nice to have air conditioning since we had to leave our sliders open and it was very noisy there at night. This resort definitely caters to families and not all of them were very considerate.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location excellent, staff beyond helpful, the experience was great. Will go again next year!
Cons: The size of the bathrooms and could use some updating.

Pros: A nice place to stay
Cons: Balcony is wonderful
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Loved the deck we sat out there and could see the water. So nice. Wonderful room. Great log bed. But it needs a more grown up toilet. The one in our bathroom is very low to the ground and not elongated. When your older like us, bad knees really like a toilet that is higher.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Common area was very pleasant. Pool wasn’t crowded and little one really enjoyed it. Bed was comfy. S’mores at night were a nice touch.
Cons: No AC but fans helped. No wash cloths!!? Breakfast was waffles, Greek yogurt, fruit, hard boiled eggs, cereal. Bacon or sausage would have been great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Can't recommend The Coachman Hotel enough peeps! Super hip, sweet accommodations, rad staff, optimal location and the price is right! Def returning for a longer stay next time. Make sure to take them up on the complimentary S'Mores at the hotel's huge communal fire and play some corn hole!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great. Liked the fact that breakfast was available and included. The toilet flushed very quietly which was good.
Cons: Disappointing breakfast. Same thing every day. Fruit was minimal and not fresh. Ran out of peanut butter. Eggs very difficult to peel. Extremely hot to sleep. One little fan didn't cool the room. Couldn't open the windows all the way because no screen and there was a little fan in the window. Fridge wasn't very cold.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cool laid back vibe. Very friendly and responsive team. Beautiful common areas and great breakfast. Room was comfortable and had everything we needed. Bed was super comfy. They has a little chilled bubbly waiting for us and gave our pup a gift bag with treats, ball and waste bags. Super thoughtful. Will stay again and recommend!

Pros: The staff, the breakfast, the pool and lounge area
Cons: Cleaning service needs to improve. Felt room wasn’t clean well . Missing towels

Pros: The fresh waffles are the staple of the breakfast; the coffee is Stumptown and pretty respectable. I wish the espresso wasn't all dark roast, though. It's a very laid back and communal atmosphere. I would definitely stay here again!
6.8 Good
Pros: The Staff was exceptional. The breakfast was nice and the pool was lovely.
Cons: There is no air conditioning...fans in windows needed to have the window open for them to operate...felt not safe about it. The room is very small and the beds were terrible. We had to cut our stay to two days instead of 5 due to the fact I had a terrible time sleeping my husband as well. The room was very small.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the shower and bathroom amenities. I loved the bar and overall decor.
Cons: I had to request wash clothes which I though was kinda weird.

7.5 Good
Pros: All the staff I had contact with were outstanding. Rooms were good as always with Marriott.
Cons: Fire & Ice was pretty bad and the staff (some) were over bearing and tried to push us into eating. The person who greeted us was trying to sell something that wasn't really there.
6.0 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: The cleaning crew folded and hung up dirty towels like they were clean. We hang up our towels if we will use them again but the towel on the floor that was obviously very dirty was folded and hung up. It was disgusting.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: As an avid snowboarder, I loved being able to leave my room, exit the hotel and immediately get on the gondola to ride the mountain! Also, it was nice that there is a small convenience store in the lobby where you can grab beer, wine, cereals, etc.
Cons: The bed was HARD as a rock!!! I read a few reviews that were complaining about how hard the beds are here but I ignored them. Sure enough, the reviews are correct... the beds are super firm here! (Considering how great this place is, I can overlook this.)

Cons: The heater did hold at a temperature. It only gets warmer. Maybe it's broken. Otherwise the hotel is very nice.
7.5 Good
Pros: Good location
7.0 Good
Pros: Location was great — discovered some nearby food places and a lot of water activities. The game room was cute and the pool looked nice (though we didn’t use either).
Cons: A little janky, for lack of a better term. A major issue we had was the lock on the bathroom door allows you to lock yourself out, which seems like a terrible design! Although we called for help and the front desk said they were sending maintenance to our room, we managed to fix the issue on our own with a physical key with teeth. Second, we brought our dog and we asked for the items they include with the pet fee. The front desk reassured me they’d have all the dog items in our room when we went up, but the items weren’t there. When we called, they said they’re just “really slammed right now” and would eventually send someone with the items. Final point is that some of the “amenities/features/services” like bike rentals were pretty limiting, so for example, we weren’t able to use the bike rentals because of the 2-hr limit — although it sounds like 2 hours is a decent amount of time, it would be hard to use the bikes to explore or to bike somewhere, engage in an activity or eat a meal, and return within 2 hours.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: The mattress on pull out couch was spring mattress and it was VERY uncomfortable. You can feel every spring!
8.8 Excellent

Cons: Nothing
7.0 Good
Pros: Proximity to the lake. Room size.

Pros: Clean, quiet, rooms set back from the street, full breakfast available, bed and pillows were comfortable, variety of sizes, room was well appointed.
Cons: GPS is a little funky right where this hotel is, so be prepared to turn the wrong way to get anywhere you're trying to go to leave the parking lot.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Its like 3 or 4 blocks away from downtown. Good location
Cons: The swimming pool was closed.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Right on Tahoe blvd, walking distance from Casinos, restaurants and heavenly village. Service is good, breakfast is a nice add on, free parking . They provided us with a crib for our baby
Cons: Furniture and carpet are old, split ac unit is kind of loud
8.3 Excellent
Pros: 1) Nice location. Plenty of parking space. Close to the all attractions (the beach, shops, restaurants). Izabella Ristorante Italiano is a great Italian restaurant that is in 50 meters. Just do not forget to reserve a table in advance.
Cons: 1) The carpet in the room looked quite clean. However, after a few minutes of playing on it, the knees of our baby became dark. I do not know if it is a carpet color or dirt, but it was hard to wash off. 2) Overpriced (as everything in Tahoe in summer). 3) The breakfast area is too small. I suggest adding more tables outside. The breakfast itself is average.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very attentive and polite
Cons: All was well for our 3 night stay

Pros: Nice location, pool and hot tub were great, and staff was nice.
Cons: So many things not working in the room. Fridge didn’t cool at all , nightstand lamp and fireplace didn’t light, hair dryer bottom broken. They were nice and fixed things the next day, but the place is being renovated and it sure needs it.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: It was clean and comfortable plenty of towels.
Cons: The bathtub was gigantic, it was a spa tub that was big enough to be in somebody's backyard, however the tub spout didn't even work so you couldn't even fill it up to use. You could just use the shower.
6.8 Good
Pros: Valet staff
Cons: Never had housekeeping come to our room all three days. Trash cans were filled, towels wet and in a pile. No fresh towels or utensils.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Bell services and Valet parking
Cons: Room was really very absurd, i booked a 2 bed room unit and i was expecting this to be comfortable for 2 families but actually there is 2 separate room internally attached. Also there is a huge hot tub in the middle of the unit which makes the stay highly uncomfortble.a
7.5 Good
Pros: Design and space.
Cons: Only one cleaning every 4 days!
8.3 Excellent
Cons: The layout of the bathroom
6.8 Good
Pros: The hotel is in a great location in Tahoe and fairly close to amenities and tourist area. The rooms are fairly spacious.
Cons: Very low water pressure. Taking a shower was a challenge because of the low pressure. At one point my boyfriend had to stand outside the shower and hold the button to get the shower to work. I realize they are remodeling the place, but it's inconvenient for the guests at the moment.

Pros: I liked the way the Casino manager assisted me and the nice professional staff who helped me with my stay. The room was absolutely great and so was Katie's Cafe.
Cons: The manager of the bar in the Steakhouse is was very rude to me regarding the bar lady giving my Service dog some water in the wrong vessel. He even asked me to leave and accused my Service dog of barking which was not true. Another casino floor manager saw how upset I was and did talk with the Steakhouse manager who did not report accurately what occurred. The Casino manager gave me a $25 comp slip to make up for the incident.

Cons: Room had no tobacco odor but as soon as you get you get into the hallways and corridors, the smell hits you.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Location was good.
Cons: This is a Casino--I didn't realize that when I booked, so if you are not into that, or are not a smoker, I wouldn't go to this hotel. The whole hotel smelled of smoke including the non-smoking room. Thankfully there was a window we could open to get fresh air. It was a super long-walk to the room with no other entrances on that side of hotel. There weren't enough towels in the room, so we tried calling the front desk and housekeeping, but the phone didn't work. We sent our son to the front desk to get some towels, but he was told they didn't have any but to get some at the pool. He went to the pool area, but didn't have a key so couldn't get in. It was such a long walk and it was late. We had to go to the pool area in the morning to get enough pool towels in order to shower. I mentioned it at the front desk in the morning and that staff was appalled. They asked if we were staying for breakfast, but we wanted to get out of there quick so our clothes wouldn't smell completely like smoke.
