The hot tub and sauna area on the top floor offer a splendid view of the city and valley. The breakfast was fine but not outstanding. When we made the reservation we did not understand that rooms are located in two separate buildings on the city piazza. The initial room we were given would have required us to change in the hot tub/sauna area. The staff graciously accommodated our request to relocate in the other building.

The downstairs dining room had a real Apline feeling and we enjoyed a great breakfast in the upstairs dining room. The mountain views are breathtaking and the setting within the walls of this medieaval town is like being in a film set. We were offered and took up the option of secure garage parking just a few minutes walk away. 9.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very basic but comfortable. Our view of the mountains was exceptional, and we thoroughly enjoyed the owner...he was friendly and helpful, and even made suggestions for our next day's journey to Austria. This is a spectacularly beautiful area.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice place to overnight.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The host Stannis was wonderful. A well stocked bar, friendly advice about roads, lock up garage for motorcycles, excellent restaurant close to hotel.
Cons: Nothing.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The Guy who runs this place is great, I arrived cold & soaking after 5+ hours in the rain on my motorbike... he greeted me with a handshake & ‘concern’ for me, and let me put my bike in his garage. Once I was warmed up there was a selection of cold beers! - and the cold buffet breakfast was just the thing before setting my bike at Stelvio Pass which, with all it’s hairpin bends, is only a few miles away
Hotel Stilfserhof - Stelvio - Building
9
8.0 Excellent (579 reviews)
C$ 208+
7.1 Good
Pros: Nice mountain hotel, great views and a good breakfast in the morning.
Cons: Limited parking spaces, no lift (but only one flight of stairs), room seemed a bit dated, but was spacious.
3.3 Mediocre
Cons: Having to walk around the hotel trying to find a wi-fi signal. Within 10minutes of the restaurant opening, they'd run out of the cheaper options on the menu. I asked for a 'GLASS' of tap water, they gave me a bottle and opened it before I could say "No" It was not clear how far from Prad that the hotel was, there was no transport other than a taxi which cost me 40Euros (£39). I was told that breakfast wouldn't be served until after the time I was leaving, yet they changed this without advising me. This meant I was leaving the hotel for a full day running across mountains without any breakfast. Despite informing you and the hotel that my associate had cancer and couldn't attend, they claimed not to know about this and made no reduction in the price.
4.6 Okay
Cons: The place was freezing - we slept in jeans and a hoodie. We were staying for 1 night as part of a stage running race. It had poured down with rain so our clothes, shoes, bag, etc were soaking wet and cold and the owner refused to turn the heating on for us to even just dry our things ready for the following day!!!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely old town in excellent position for Stelvio Pass
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We booked this as we were on a motorbike and wanted to do the Stelvio pass , it is a great location just off the pass. Staff were very friendly and helpful as we had a problem with our motorbike , they made some calls to help us find a garage service to help . The evening food was fantastic, my husband has the steak which just melted in the mouth , no steak knife needed
Cons: Helpful friendly Staff and a great location
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The view from our room was fantastic overlooking the valley below. The breakfast was plenty and good choice of food and drinks. We also enjoyed the 5 course meal in the evenings. It took some time to serve the 5 course meal, but the staff was very nice and looked after us very well. The house vine was also very good. Overall we are very pleased with the hotel and visit again in future.
Cons: We stayed in one of the 2nd floor rooms which could do with a refreshing. The bathroom was also outdated and could do with new fittings (it took 10 minutes for the toilet tank to refill with water). However, the room was clean.
7.9 Good
Pros: Location was perfect for our early start, travelling the Stelvio pass. Quite hotel, we had dinner at the restaurant, reasonable selection on the menu, food was nice, staff very friendly.
Cons: Could do with an update

10.0 Excellent
Pros: A perfect hotel for a couple of relaxing days cycling Passo dello Stelvio. The location is quiet but close to Stilfserjoch and Umbrailpass. The hotel staff is amazing, rooms and the hotel very clean, modern and they dispose of a small but nice wellness area. Breakfast is fantastic! I had half board and was very pleased with the choice of food - good value for money !
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful small hotel with excellent service. Our room had a superb view of the valley and a large private deck. The rooms are very quiet and the beds comfortable. The European style breakfast each day was fresh and delicious. Two of the four nights we had a four course dinner of local cuisine. It was flavourful and well presented with nothing heavy or overwhelming. The housekeeping staff do wonderful work.
Cons: Our only complaint is about ourselves and our lack of ability to speak German as in Südtirol it goes farther than Italian.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Just wonderful hotel in little Alpine town. Fantastic comfy room with stunning view. Awesomely good food - breakfast & dinner. Attention to detail everywhere. Modern hotel built in old Tyrol style - therefore best of both worlds. Loved it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner greeted us personally with a hand shake and made sure our stay exceeded our expectations which it certainly did. As the only guests, we very much enjoyed the spa area with beautiful ambience, I'm sure we had the nicest room in the hotel with balcony and amazing views of the valley, and the breakfast was absolutely outstanding with lots of fresh, local food even in the middle of winter. Thank you very much! We would certainly recommend you to anyone looking for a quiet, peaceful getaway.
Cons: I can't fault this hotel in any way. Keep doing what you are doing, amazing family who owns and runs this!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: location, view, staff
Cons: nothing

Cons: It was perfect.
7.0 Good
Pros: Value for money was incredible - everything was new in the room and it was seriously high quality. Breakfast was one of the best I've seen at any hotel Coffee was proper Italian coffee, and was delicious
Cons: 1) The two people running the facilities were the most difficult part of our stay. The female manager was kind and helpful but didn't speak English. The male manager was unpleasant, unhelpful and unwelcoming for the duration of our stay. He spoke english, but seemed to really hate having to speak it. 2) The apartment we booked had a full kitchen, yet all the cabinets had locks on them and were locked (even the trash). Upon asking, we were informed we booked a room that didn't include kitchen facilities. After having a back-and-forth discussion, they agreed to let us pay additional to "use" the kitchen.
