Love love love the set landscape, the layout and their willingness to please. The place is clean and inviting. Beautiful sunsets. We felt like we were leaving family when we left.
Pros: The staff was phenomenal! Richmond, the bartender, was great! Gregory, Tacita, Paul, Tyrone, Kerryann, Monique, Tameaka, Vincent, Heather, the chefs, and the housekeeping staff comprise a dream team. The hotel is lucky to have them. Rosa is sweet too!
The SPA Retreat Boutique Hotel offers an airport shuttle (available on request). Guests can visit the spa to indulge in deep-tissue massages, body wraps, or body scrubs, and regional cuisine is served at Blue Mahoe, which is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There's an outdoor pool and a bar/lounge, and rooms at this upscale resort offer furnished balconies or patios and 24-hour room service.
Pros: Our room was very comfortable, the food choices were plentiful and wifi better than expected.
Cons: Nighttime activities could of been more varied. It was a bit quiet after dinner.
Pros: The beach is very nice and close to all rooms. The pool is very nice as well and even closer. Drinks are free and very good. Red Stripe only except in the piano bar which served Heineken as well.
Cons: Rooms are NOT beach front as advertised, but rather beach view as the buildings are perpendicular to the beach.
Pros: no kids is huge
beach is spectacular
very helpful and cheerful staff, well trained, right down to room maids
security presence maintains safety
great weather every day
surprisingly good on-site medical care
Cons: my wife loved the food, but i'm not a foodie, and it was hard to find simple food to eat -- skipped half the meals
the resort felt small by the end
all inclusive watersports doesn't include the fun stuff (parasail, tubing, jet ski, etc)
not much to do in the evenings -- the resort "activities" are lame and loud (kareoke, 80s night, etc)
Pros: After comparing many resorts, we chose to go with Couples Negril because of its reviews on the quality and service. It was also our first time at an adults only resort. Our experiences was even better than what we expected! Food was delicious, the resort was well decorated and romantic, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It was perfect for a couple's much needed getaway.

Pros: We really enjoyed the accommodations and service at this hotel. From the moment we checked in, we were upgraded by the desk staff from a garden view to an ocean view room. The food was absolutely AMAZING!!!. It was made fresh to order and delighted the tastebuds. This hotel is within walking distance of the famous Rick's Cafe. I can't say enough about the service provided by Owen, Malcolm, and Leroy in the restaurant. Even though the property doesn't have the amenities of a five star hotel, the service is five star and then some. The setting and scenery is beautiful off of the cliffs. It really helped us unplug from the daily grind. Let's hear an applause for Tensing Pen!!!
Pros: It's magical.
Tensing Pen Hotel offers an airport shuttle (available 24 hours). Guests indulge in body scrubs, then grab a bite to eat at the restaurant. There's an indoor pool and an outdoor pool, and rooms at this romantic hotel offer refrigerators and free WiFi.
Cons: Suite was very hot. Bedroom was hot the first night but the a/c cooled it down enough the rest of the time. Shower water pressure was terrible, hard to wash soap out. Didn't want to deal with changing rooms though. Overall everything was great though.
Situated by the ocean, Catcha Falling Star is a great choice for a stay in Negril. The outdoor pool is a great spot to take a dip, and guests can grab a bite to eat at Ivan's Bar & Restaurant, which serves Caribbean cuisine and is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A bar/lounge and a spa tub are other highlights, and rooms at this romantic hotel offer room service and free WiFi.
Sunset at the Palms Resort - Adults Only - All Inclusive offers a private beach where you can sip a drink at the beach bar, plus you'll have access to onsite scuba diving, snorkeling, and parasailing. The outdoor pool provides fun for everyone, while guests in the mood for pampering can indulge in massages. Palm Grove, one of 4 restaurants, serves Caribbean cuisine and is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. 3 bars/lounges and a poolside bar are other highlights at this upscale resort, and rooms offer free minibar items and balconies.
When visiting Negril, Tingalaya's Retreat is a great choice to consider. Guests can take a dip in the outdoor pool and indulge in massages. Rooms offer up nice touches like iPod docks, premium bedding, and rainfall showerheads.
Pros: Amazing beach, great free breakfast, staff was amazing. Our room had a fridge/stove/microwave (many don't) and that was great. Big room, comfy bed, giant shower.
Cons: To get the (excellent) free breakfast and beach towels/lounge chairs, you have to wear an armband your whole stay - which makes you stand out as a tourist if you like venturing to town or off the beaten path. I felt like this made us a bigger target for locals who want to hassle you/sell you something/ask for money. So there's certainly a big trade off there.
Pros: Treehouse resort has it all! I would surely stay there again. We enjoyed delicious breakfasts full of options/ jamaican dishes, a very comfortable (albeit small) well-equipped room- and to my delight- an outdoor rope chair for each room. The bed was quite cozy and the room A/C as frigid as you'd want to make it! I thought I would be disappointed with a "garden view" room opposed to ocean view- but the garden and grounds are so lovely and well kept, it was like being in the jungle right next to the beach! I especially loved waking up to groomed sand and well-kept beach loungers that are set out each morning. The staff were friendly and not overbearing, however it is diffucult sometimes to know who actually works there vs. who "says" they work there...
Cons: I am not a well seasoned international traveler, with this being my first trip out of the US. Admittedly, it took me many days to acclimate to the Jamaican way of "sales". I am used to approaching someone/a business for a service when I'm interested in it, but here, as with all other places I visited in Negril, the service providers chronically approached me and I needed to interact and politely decline, each day. This went for taxi, massage services, the restaurant, the gift shop, etc.
Pros: Tree House is a lovely place on the most beautiful beach in Jamaica. The staff is welcoming and kind, without being pandering. The rooms clean and adequate. I loved the fact that the place is not all-inclusive. There are taxis always available and we had fantastic meals in Negril. Also, this is the best value on the island.
Pros: tHIS IS OUR FOURTH STAY AND IT ONLY GETS BETTER.
yOGA ON A PADDLEBOARD. jAMAICANS ARE THE BEST AND THE BEST WAY TO ENJOY jAMAICA IS STAYING AT THE tREEHOUSE. Very relaxing.
Pros: I liked the Tree House because of the great customer service as well as the great beach front location.
Pros: I liked the breakfast, the grounds are well maintained, staff are pleasant, resort is sizable, some amenities and activities are free including yoga and paddle boarding. Location is at the far end of the beach before the all inclusives start, so a little quieter than mid-beach.
Cons: I didn't like that Kayak.com did not allow any space to enter a preference about the room I wanted. Kayak.com needs to have a note space to enter requests/preferences about a reservation. I called Kayak.com afterwards to note the request on my reservation but (surprise!) the request was never received by the hotel. This was the second time but also the last time that I book with Kayak.
Negril Tree House Resort offers an airport shuttle (available 24 hours) for USD 30 per person one way. Guests indulge in spa services, then grab a bite to eat at the restaurant. An outdoor pool and a beach bar are other highlights, and rooms offer balconies and flat-screen TVs.
Pros: Lovely, charming hotel. Beautiful rooms, great location.
Cons: They didn't let me put my dinner on the room one night, which was inconvenient as I didn't have my credit card or money handy.
I would highly recommend the Charela Inn! The staff is one of the nicest I have met and are welcoming, helpful and friendly. They strive for the highest level of making your stay the best in Negril. The grounds are well kept and the rooms are some of the cleanest I have ever seen. Thank you to everyone at Charela for making our vacation, one of the best we have ever had!
Pros: The Charela Inn is centrally located on Seven Mile Beach, which makes it convenient to get the full experience of the beach. The staff is amazing - so friendly and welcoming! The rooms, grounds and beach area are always clean and maintained very well!
Charela Inn Hotel offers an airport shuttle (available 24 hours) for USD 80 per vehicle one way. After splashing around at the outdoor pool, you can grab a bite to eat at the restaurant or unwind with a drink at the bar/lounge. Other highlights include a garden, and rooms offer balconies or patios and flat-screen TVs.
Pros: The entertainment selections are always a plus. You can tell there have been upgrades to the food. The fitness activities available were also a positive.
Cons: Some of the rooms still have issues and the room I stayed in was dated save for an upgraded television. Basically my room hasn't changed since my first trip in 2005.
Pros: Been there 8 times and it is getting better with the new management. Entertainment has really stepped up. Not for everyone.
Cons: Hot water didn't last during premium shower times on prude side.
Pros: Hedo II is located in Negril. Love the location and the beach. Nude beach is very relaxing. Great employees - excellent customer service.Very Friendly to everyone. Breakfast is the best meal of the day. Good alcohol selection. Week we were there was pretty mellow for the place. Probably 1/2 full, but still fun. No official Lifestyle groups were there, but plenty of people still having sex right in front of you, If that bothers you, then this is not the place for you. I am not in the Lifestyle and was not offended. They are friendly but not pushy. I have been there several times and will go back again. My husband and I enjoy it.
Cons: Facilities are not the most modern and food is passable at best for the most part. If you are looking for a 5 star place, this is not it. People don't go to Hedo for the facilities. Jamaica is a hassle to get in and out of. Long lines at the airport coming and going. Expect to spend 2-3 hours at the airport.each way.
Pros: The room that we stayed in two months ago was definitely much better. It had a beautiful set up with LED lighting, a rain shower and all upgraded amenities including a balcony. The room this time was outdated big time. Although it still served it's purpose as we didn't spend too much time in the room. We still appreciated the updated room much more. All in all. We LOVE Hedonism and hope to travel back here again. This was our second trip here within three months. The staff was outstanding.

Pros: Just returned from a visit 4/1-4/6/17 and were thoroughly impressed with the resort. Food was way better than other resorts, and the grounds are spread out enough that it never felt crowded. Always was able to find a beach chair in the shade, even when we got to the beach at 11 am. Always found a seat at one of the bars, hardly waited for drinks. Staff is friendly and helpful. Had the atrium suite and didn't miss the tv at all. Beach is raked every night and the grounds are meticulously kept. Already planning to go back!
Cons: Food at the cabana and sea grape took a little long to get. I can't even believe I'm complaining about this.
Pros: This is one of the best resorts I've ever been in. The food was delicious, the alcohol was yummy & unlimited, the staff was great & very friendly, and the experiences unforgettable. This is a great resort for couples. My husband and I celebrated our birthdays and honeymoon. The staff made all of these occasions unforgettable. We especially liked the free tennis lessons, snorkeling, catamaran ride, piano bar, beach party and day and night events (music bands, bonfire, mixology class, couple massage class, etc).
Cons: The only major issue we had was with the plumbing in our room, especially with the toilet, but it was fixed immediately.

It's not a 5 star resort and you have to fend for yourself as far as food is concerned but there are many places within a short walk to eat. You can get a real feel for Jamaica and its friendly, helpful people at this resort. Pack a book a swimsuit and just chill.
Pros: The hotel was located across the road from the cliffs in beautiful gardens. It was lovely and quiet with a nice pool and delightful, happy staff. We felt completely safe and were able to relax and anything we needed the staff were happy to help.
Cons: The beds were a little on the hard side and there were no electrical outlets near mirrors.

Pros: Helpful staff throughout facility. Good restaurant with great breakfast discount. Beautiful grounds with 2 swimming pools and a large jacuzzi
Beautiful beach, Coco does it right! Our third trip to Jamaica and our first stay at Coco. Would go again and recommend to friends,
Cons: Our safe had a glitch, but was taken care of QUICKLY. Small problems can become really irritating when they are not dealt with promptly. But our problem was addressed within the hour twice. More like a half hour. Thank you!
Pros: The staff was wonderful. The atmosphere is safe and secure. The grounds are beautiful and it is right on 7-Mile Beach.
Cons: The food could have had more local flavor. The veggie pizza had cabbage and carrots, not something that I would expect on a vegetable pizza.
Pros: Loved the location, the hot tub, the super friendly staff, the beach, the newly renovated room, manager's cocktail party. We walked the whole beach and did not see a nicer looking place that wasn't an all-inclusive. Loved out stay and happy we booked here.
Cons: The food and drinks were a little expensive but not way off from other places on the beach.
At CocoLaPalm Seaside Resort, you can hit the beach to get a beach massage or relax in a sun lounger, plus you'll have access to onsite surfing/boogie boarding and parasailing. 2 outdoor pools provide plenty of fun, while guests in the mood for pampering can indulge in deep-tissue massages. The restaurant is a great spot for a bite to eat and cold drinks are served at the bar/lounge. A rooftop terrace and a spa tub are other highlights, and rooms offer refrigerators and room service.
Pros: Relatively new property.
Great beach bar
Restaurant was great!
Great location on 7 mile.
Cons: Room could use more cleaning (floorboards and walls in our room needed a bit of love). Still not nearly as bad as other properties we've stayed in Negril. However, as a "luxury boutique" a few cleanliness matters should be addressed (at least for room 232.)
"Oceanview" was just a partial view of the ocean. This could be better explained in the description. I booked "superior oceanview" not "superior *partial* oceanview."
Pros: the location was great! Right on the beach in the heart of Negril's 7-mile beach. There is a place to rent bikes/scooters right across the street and there are tons of restaurants within walking distance.
Cons: unfortunately, the staff was really bad. Very poor customer service, not friendly, and at times down-right rude. It really detracted from our stay and we would not return to this resort as a result. We would try one of the dozens of other hotels nearby, which are comparable in cost.
Pros: good location, rooms
Cons: continental bfast (included on daily price) was 4 cold toasts two pieces of butter and jelly and thats all! reception staff extremely slow and not helpful with tourist info, room was not available upon check in, when asked how could i join a sailboat cruise the recepcionist simply stated "i dont know"..restaurant service was very poor and unfortunately the beer was never cold enough... thats it.
not a good experience for the price ($300 a night!)

The outdoor pool is perfect for guests looking for a bit of fun, while those in the mood for pampering can visit the spa to indulge in massages, body wraps, and mani/pedis. Bongos, one of 2 restaurants, serves dinner. There are 2 bars/lounges and a beach bar, and rooms at this upscale hotel get the details right with iPod docks and premium bedding.
Pros: Good beach location, not far from good restaurants and town of Negril. Staff was very good.
Cons: Loud most times, loud music, loud people in halls, Wish rooms had sliding windows. Had to use ear plugs to sleep at night. Bed uncomfortable
Pros: Comfort of beds, nice pool
Cons: Staff was friendly for the most part but I didn't get that family oriented feeling like I've had in other hotels in Jamaica. Doors in rooms were dirty, door to balcony would not shut properly and locked from the outside - staff had to come in and change the door knobs as they were put on the wrong way, mirror in bathroom was put on wall in an odd place - hard to look in mirror, poor lighting in room when you are trying to get ready, breakfast meal is not worth the money of $11 daily. There were not many food options and they give you very little food. Seemed like the food staff people in the morning serving the food were always in a bad mood. The ladies walking around in the restaurant were very nice and friendly. Had dinner there twice and was definitely NOT impressed! We were only given one room key which is a pain if you are sharing a room with more that one person. The beach is tiny and very hard to find any shade - too hard to shield from the sun. A taxi guy sitting in the hotel lobby tried to charge us more than double the fare to go down the road! Over all Traveller's is an OK place to stay but I won't be back.
At Travellers Beach Resort, you can spend time at the beach relaxing in a sun lounger, plus you'll have access to onsite scuba diving and snorkeling. The outdoor pool provides a splash of fun, and guests can also take advantage of a 24-hour fitness center. Travellers Palm serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Pros: I liked the entertainment provided by the hotel.
Cons: My only problem is that I'm a magnet for mosquitoes,

Pros: I thought I booked a hotel with 4* rating. This hotel does not even come close to that. Yes the owner was a good man. He had some friendly staff who did what they could. But they were lacking everything. Well it is Jamaica. So what can I expect.
Cons: There was no shampoo, conditioner or soap. The a/c did work but took a long time for the room to cool.
