The hotel has 'character' and offers good value for money. The location is in walkable distance to the city centre and there was on-site parking. The reception staff was very friendly and spoke excellent English.
The room was a bit run down and not very large with no extra sockets and sad neon lighting. Even though it is not far to walk to the city centre, it is not a very nice walk (along a major exit road from the city, over a huge flyover and junction). Ok, it was dark and raining when we did the walk, but still we had to do it, since the hotel restaurant was closed. Takes about 25-30 min to the centre. Breakfast was so-so.
close to town center
cold water in the room
The staff were nice and pleasant. Free parking
How did this hotel earn 3 stars is a mystery to me. We stayed one night in a room for 3. The decor was bad, seems like nothing changed since the 70's there. The curtains looked dirty. The beds were very uncomfortable and noisy. No furniture fit together. The bathroom was tiny, the door couldn't close. The shower looked dirty. If it wasn't, then it was screaming for renovation just like the rest of the room. On arrival we were told restaurant is open until 10pm. The menu was displayed outside. Just a few minutes before we were just going to go to eat in the evening we received a call that the restaurant doesn't serve the food that day. But the biggest shock met us at breakfast. The choice was really poor. There was one plate with a few slices of one type of ham and cheese. That's it. Some jam and yoghurt. Not even juice. I've never seen anything like this.
Staff very helpfull. Area close to city center
Decor need urgent update. Rooms really outdated and not nice.
There is nothing to like.
The first, room wasn't clean during my visit. First room given don't have hot water. No blinds in any windows.
