Great location, the staff was really nice, and the place was easy to find. The small neighborhood where the hostel is located is very quiet and you also can see many foreigners that live nearby. You will get a key that opens the main gate, the building door, and your own locker. So you are basically free to get in and out any time. Super clean. You can pay by wechat.

You have to plan in advance your shower time because the hot water might not be enough for all guests. Wet floor in the bathroom.

The localization is perfect for those travelling from Guangzhou East station - the hostel is 5min from the station. This also means that numerous restaurants are open, including 24/h McDonnald's restaurant. The object was clean, with working AC and quiet guests. I've spent 2 nights there and it gets the job done, but there are better and cheaper options in Guangzhou.

First - they require upfront payment for the first night, and the only options to pay is through Wechat or Alipay, or transfer to their bank account - virtually beyond the reach of a regular foreigner traveller. The hostel is situated in an apartment in a guarded neighbourhood, and it felt akward waiting at the gate for someone to open the gate... You get the key later, but it's off-putting when you can't arrive at the place becuase the gate is closed. Then, the wifi was quite slow, beds rather uncomfortable, there was only one bathroom, shared with 12 other people. The 'front desk' is not open 24/h, so you need to declare upfront when you'll be leaving in the morning. Keep these things in mind when booking.

This is bad. Location listed is NOT the actual location. There is no hostel. Some China students rented this apartment and you'll be sleeping on their bed while they snore on the couch.

LOCATION IS DIFFERENT FROM LOCATION LISTED. We spent 2 hours looking for the building - we found the building but it was a locked up office building. The actual address was not conveyed to us and we had to get a data phone card to communicate with the home resident (host) before we obtained the actual address which was quite a walk away from the listed address. It is a unit within an apartment block within a residential compound - not a hostel. Hostel is not a hostel. It is a unit that is rented by some China students. Some of them would sleep on the couch whenever guests books a bed. Staff did not allow us to touch the aircon remote. When we requested for the aircon to be switched on, she set it to 27 degrees Celsius. Furthermore, the staff did not give us the key to our room despite our request. Nor did she give us the keys to the main door, but she gave us a curfew to return to the house (which is a private apartment, not a hostel) as she "needs her sleep too". Wi-Fi does not work. Kitchen is dirty. The oven and microwave is oily and sticky and the staff says they never ever use it, only the guests use it but never cleans it. Fridge is filled with other student's stuff. Dining table was filled with laptop chargers, leftover food, and fleas were seen jumping on the tabletop. Drinking water is not provided - the water kettle is the resident's private property. Do not touch it or they will scream at you.
